Ahh, VoiD played absolutely phenomenally. There were a few matches where he was literally like "Nah, you're not allowed to touch me for this stock." I used to watch him as Pichu, then I found out Sheik was just as gnarly. For me, he stands out just by play style alone.
He takes these characters that have an insane combo game but other bad weaknesses (ex. pichu weight, sheik killing) and learns every single thing about the way his moves into each other in a way that allows him to avoid those weaknesses altogether. It doesn't matter if you're light if you never get hit. So fun to watch
@@tomonator1361 Sheik's weakness isn't really considered killing (I mean it sometimes is, and especially in this set because I swear VoiD is usually better at killing, but) generally, Sheik mains say Sheik's weakness is her damage output (even if she combos you really well, she still needs to win 5-6 interactions to deal the same damage that most top tiers deal in 3-4) and her light weight combined with her fast fall speed making her easy to kill and easy to combo.
Honestly they gotta do something with the Kazuya's electric fist. I believe it was designed OP because it's hard to do, but when you master the character like Riddle does, it's just too OP in general terms. If it hits it's almost an instant kill. At least Sheik combos can be avoided but that electric fist is too fast and stuns the character... They should reduce its damage or launch range at least.

I think ppl underestimate how much a character like sheik pressures the opposing player to stay calm and not get frazzled. Ppl always say "oh but sheik needed a 7 hit combo to do 25 %". But when you're constantly wracking up 25-50 with a bunch of razzle dazzle, it affects the opponent in ways that are different from respecting heavy hitters.
Still, when all kazuya needs to match it is an EWGF, which riddles can do consistently 99% of the time, and he gets either more damage or a kill, there's certainly an imbalance
people dont get that sheiks neutral is among the best of all characters and she has way more chances to do a 7 hit combo than kazuya to do his 2 hits sheiks balancing is fine, the biggest problem is that she pretty much requires consistant perfection, there is not alot of room for mistakes
@@xdmon1220 Yup I think Sheik makes opponents make mistakes. But you're right that she still needs to capitalize on those mistakes and not get hit. It wouldn’t go well for him, honestly lol. Australia doesn’t have anywhere near the same level of competition. I mean, he would probably take some stocks, but not many games.
If Nintendo ever needs hype footage to get new players playing the game. Just make Void and Riddles play like a best of 21 and force them to play their 3 best characters in it.
Very likely he doesn't. Not a lot of people do because it really hinders recoveries and can make up tilts hard if you use the left stick. He does low short hops by short hopping lol. Just jump low and press nair just after short hopping. To tilt with the right stick you need to set it to tilt stick instead of smash stick and it takes a while to get used to.
Also to add on to what the other guy said to short hop you just press the jump button and release really quick. If you use x as jump you can just move your finger across x to a to short hop nair
To preface, I've never played Smash, but I'm a fan of watching and do play other traditional fighting games. I just don't understand how Sheik is balanced. Watching Kazuya vs Sheik, there can be a 100% difference, and I still feel like it's even. In most games, characters with mobility and lack of power have something else. Monstrous advantage or the ability to mix people to break Defense. But in Smash, neither of those are as imperative. The platform fighter format also means that it doesn't matter how much you chip away, you still have to hit certain moves to kill. Maybe it's the DLC privilege that makes Sheik seem like such a weak character, but all these points kinda stand even in Sheik's good match-ups.
She is balanced because of an absurd neutral game and the fact that all her combos (both for damage and killing) can come out of hits from moves with no lag. Her tilts and aerials require no commitment at all, they're basically spammable. She isn't a top tier, but most top players agree she's high tier because of her frame data and neutral.
It isnt. If Im correct maybe the EWGF chain was true, although he didnt change his DI at all, but when he dropped the Electric and did regular WGF he could have jumped, instead he got hit by another EWGF
