Tara, the china head doll you asked about looks like the low-fired ceramic dolls that were popular during the 1970s, around the bicentennial. That one was very crudely made and painted badly. Be patient; there are much better china heads out there.

It's funny, I tend to be drawn to the misfit dolls :) Thanks for the info though. I thought maybe it was a one off someone made or something.
