I've been using both CTMH and SU products for years to scrapbook with, so here are some tips about SU card stock: very thick, meant for card making, but I use it on layouts if the color is unique, for frames, or for added dimension on die cuts. Caution: if you use SU card stock on the Cricut, adjust your blade for thicker paper. The paper will wear out your trimmer blades, so I cut it with my rotary trimmer. SU white regular white card stock (there's a thick version too for card bases) is my favorite paper for stamping and coloring with alcohol markers. Enjoy!
So good to know, Margaret. THANK YOU for all the insight on cardstocks so I don't have to waste a bunch of pieces trying things out. I've heard that the White CS is good for stamping and coloring :0)

I can't wait to get back in my craft room - slept all day yesterday and so far, Tuesday is looking like an early-to-bed night as well. You can tell when you're getting older, it takes longer to recoup from fun adventures :0) Miss y'all already!

Now I need to focus on what I'll use first - I feel like after seeing y'all's beach layouts with Country Woods, I can't unsee the beach feel :0)
I love the piercing end of the Take Your Pick tool to just flick the backs off from the Dimensionals. I can take off about 4-5 before removing them from the pick. It is so quick!
THANK YOU for the heads up - I'd probably try to get the backing off the tip each time...lol. I can't wait to use it...I ordered the crafter tips and I can't wait to try the perforated one :0)
@@scrappinkaty I was at a crop last weekend with four stampin’up demonstrators. There were only five of us at the crop! We were in a private home that gets rented out for scrapbooking and card making. The gal across from me let me use her take your pick tool because I forgot mine. When she saw what I was doing with it, she was flabbergasted. She had never done that. Then the gal next to me told me that she had not used it for that either. I don’t think either one of them watch UA-cam videos. Ha ha ha.

Love watching the unboxing of your new products. I’m excited.! I love the storage pockets for the paper. I have been using some from creative memories and also some from stamping storage.
these are more functional for everyday storage...I'm DEFINITELY going to be using the CM ones you sent (and will probably order more) for all these "power layouts" you've been talking about...lol

I have a friend, customer, and soon-to-be family is a CM Advisor and they have the BEST ENVELOPES for full-on projects. I can't wait to use those for crops and these for everyday storage.
Katy, thank you so much for the unboxing video. I'm also a CTMH transfer (hobbiest) to SU and have never used any SU products before. It seems that all of us picked the country woods paper (love it!). Waiting on my box now. Also eager to try my multipurpose tool. I have literally spent the past 3 hours watching all of you crafty ladies unboxing & showing us your stash. I really appreciated Jayma's as she was first to hit my link with an hour of explanation & so I now feel like I finally know what is going on & how to read the catalogue & each one of you has bought her perspective to the table & so I am feeling a little more excited about the venture into buying from SU in the coming days. Actually, there are a couple of things high on my list having seen the gorgeous paper collections & having the stamp, thincuts, embossing folder, stencil section explained. So now I am looking forward to seeing you all create using both company products together. I loved Erin's first page, it was very ingenious & typical of her with her theme of choice. 😂
We've been having fun for sure...lol. My first layout won't be what I wanted because I wanted to wait to buy the A Little Latte Collection after I was a Demonstrator. All the girls have done an excellent job at explaining what they got and why...I just love my girls!
