the fact that the debut telecaster isnt available in the us has me wondering if this is a marketing scheme. i got the debut strat and its a good guitar. im looking forward to seeing it in the us.
I think it might be to get us Thirsty🤣. All though it doesn't seem to be getting a lot of reviews from the people that can get these. If the become available in the U.S. and at or near the Strat price it will be worth it. If you haven't seen my first video spoiler I'm out $580 just trying to cut this video🤦♂(Eventually will be reimbursed $380...I hope)
@@SearchingForTone I’m glad you’re getting reimbursed. I don’t think it would cost more than the Stratocaster which has a lot more components. I’m guessing it’ll be the same price.
Part of me is kinda glad they don't have this in the US yet; I'd probably have bought one already! I've got a weakness for cheap Teles! That said, I'm pretty sure I'll be buying the Debut P-Bass. It's been too long since I've had a bass and it seems ideal for the price point. And whenever one of my kids is ready for their first guitar, one of the Debuts will be my first choice.
I think I kinda dug it more than the Strat Debut. If I could make a suggestion on first guitar, it may seem like I work for this brand- Tease Guitars. I really don’t it’s just the best playing guitar I’ve come across especially for a beginner. It’s only couple more bucks than the debut series, but I think it’s at least 2-3x the guitar. I have a video on it if you haven’t seen it already ua-cam.com/video/_K0TMhhJQRE/v-deo.htmlsi=LDGlrOvndRa2Sca_
@@SearchingForTone yeah I have an Affinity series Tele I got back in 2020 and your debut sounded better seriously 😂 mine had more bite but it had a straight up maple neck. The debut actually sounded warmer and with more dimensional tone.. anyways good job bro!
It's the wizard, not the wand. I have a Squier Affinity with a pro setup and a genuine '69 Tele in Candy Apple Red. The neck is way better on the Squier and the guitar is way lighter. I actually prefer the tone on the squier. I never use the neck pickup, but the brightness really cuts through a mix. Guitars don't matter much. Doing the practice work does.
@@scottnathanphoto certainly if it feels good it’s going to sound better because you’re going to be inspired that much more. The Squier I had many years ago felt like a hollow core door. This one although not true thickness felt more like a Tele should feel. Thanks for tuning in.
Yeah for sure. Going to do revisits on the keepers, restrung and adjusted. Was contemplating the debut bass to be my first fore into bass. Thanks for tuning in😎🤙
Glad everything worked out for you in the end, God bless dude. S by Solar would be a better buy for $50 more. Great review though brother, to each his own when it comes to guitars. It comes down to preference and playability. Until next time, get naked, get your shred on, and keep it bluesy.
Great review!!! Maybe with a little persuasion, Fender will start selling this Telecaster through Amazon in America. Nice "More Than A Feeling " cover there... 😎👍🎸

i am from the UK..really want Amazon to start selling the firefly guitars or anyone to sell them in the UK, lol 😁 I can buy one of these tele's from amazon £129/$164..USA can get Firefly but not squire debut..we are both in a waiting game 😢
@@davidireland6952 I certainly liked this one and am glad to contribute to UK GAS🤣 and be careful wanting Firefly. I just released a video yesterday on one. They are UNBELIEVABLE😎🤙
@CodeBleu724 that is cool. I had a Squier Tele probably back in 2015 and didn’t dig it as much as I did this one. But that probably an unfair comparison as I no longer have it. Hopefully your son keeps up with it. I gave my nephew a guitar 4 years ago, he just bought his first “next level” guitar last month with money he saved.
Yeah, and its such a hassle. Don't know If I'll do that again.....ahh who am I kidding, for the audience sure I will. Sent 7/23 back on my own dime, wont be able until 8/21 send reimburse for shipping, then takes 30 days past that.
I think for whatever reason they might be trying to GAS us up. I’m kinda glad I went through the second attempt, cause if you didn’t see the first video it was a flop. I’ll do an update in a month but I think this is the better of the debut series
They have to, why wouldn’t they. I think they are going to try and people up a “thirst” for it. Probably didn’t expect small channel like this to jump through hoops to get it so soon to review for people over here. They’ll send a couple to the big name UA-camrs to get GAS like the Player 2 series.
Thanks for sharing. As you mentioned, these are difficult to get in the US. Not sure why we can get the Strat but not the Tele models. Seems crazy to me.
@@SearchingForTone - Could be but that's awful hard to do if we can't get our hands on one and have some first person intel (smile). So, I appreciated your video. I have wondered if it is just the sonic by another name. Any thoughts?
@TedTalksGuitars I feel like it was just a cheaper way to try and compete in the “affordable” market. Thinner body, finish is like a hard candy shell if you saw my first time around with this. I think they were aiming for a price point with this one. If we can get it for the same price as the Strat Debut then I think it’s better than sonic.

My friend, it says on the back of the headstock, designed and backed by Fender, so I think it is incorrect to state that it is "made by Fender", as you did. I may be wrong, does Fender have a factory in China ? Get a MIM telecaster and put Fender Original Vintage Telecaster pickups in it. You deserve better tone than this guitar gives. I put those pickups in my Tele, and it sounds like classic Telecaster twang and beautiful warm neck neck pickup.
@@SearchingForTone Thanks, I looked at Sweetwater, and all their Squires say Desinged and backed by Fender, on the back of the headstock. So I guess it is a Fender product.
It’s certainly not a studio quality guitar. But at that price I don’t know what is. It’s something you could possibly get away with giging. But for a first guitar I wish mine had felt this good and is $30 cheaper than my 1st back in 97
