Those Night Glare glasses are actually really good, especially for the glare of headlights and light polluted areas, they aren’t meant to be actual “night vision”. Use them as intended and you’ll understand they are a godsend for someone that has astigmatism issues.
The yellow lenses work amazingly. They were started by semi drivers who drive nights originally wearing them. They've been around since like the 60s. I wear a cheaper off name pair from truck stop when I'm driving my semi at night due to assholes running brights at all times
I remember the bubbles being called "Super Elastic Bubble Plastic". It had a really pungent, harsh chemical smell. Even as a kid I thought "This can't be safe". 🥴
Those polarized glasses really do help me drive at night. They aren't for seeing in the dark, they are for getting rid of that blinding glare from oncoming headlights and like reflections from street lights and signs. I have a lot of trouble driving at night because of the glare. So they really do work for that. There are better brands that are more stylish and comfortable though.
No joke . I purchased a pair of those cheap yellow glasses to drive through the mountains during a snowstorm. It helps cut the glare from high beams in the snow. If you’ve ever driven through a snowstorm at night you know that high beams bouncing off the falling snow makes it almost impossible to see.
The glasses with night vision are really helpful when riding motorcycles with a 3/4 or 1/2 helmet. They cut down on headlight glare, keep everything crisp and keep bugs, grit and road trash out of your eyes while riding. The bendability helps with putting them on last under your helmet and chin strap.
@@rlmartinmanor It's a rabbit. You can see it poking out before it runs away and you can see the ears. Plus it does a hop that rabbits tend to do when they run away.
The nightvision glasses actually DO work for what they say. It works well when the sun is just setting or has just set. I used to wear them in my beach volleyball league when we had 7:30 games when it was a little too late in the summer to be still playing at 8:20. Which, included the playoffs. So while other teams couldn't see a damn thing in the finals, I could, as could another good player on our team. and that was all we needed to dominate. We basically became a 2 person team since we could see the ball just a bit better.
The Clapper came out in 84. It's gone through several design/feature changes over the years. The box hasn't changed much. For added trivia, The Clapper comes from the same folks (Joseph Enterprises) as Chia Pet, Ov-Glove and CSL (Chimney Sweeping Log).
As a nighttime over the road trucker, those yellow glasses are a must-have. Great for sundown and sunrise, and fantastic for all the d bags that don't turn their brights off… I don't know about color enhancement, but it keeps light saturation down and more evenly dispersed across your eyes.
I had the thought "this man is going through trial after trial to assess what the lights mean...and there's a piece of paper right there that'll take care of that like immediately "
We had something like the elastic plastic. Loved that stuff! The best part, besides the smell, was popping it and squeezing all the little pops out of it at the end. Very tactile.
BTW, those Night vision glasses. Are not actually Night Vision. they are mainly when you are driving at Night, the glasses help reduce the Glare from other cars and trucks Headlights so it does not actually blind you and makes seeing during night time driving easier to the wearer.
I remember my parents bought The Clapper back in the 90’s. It wasn’t a “smart” device in that it could tell the difference between a clap and say a conversation. The Clapper would cause the lights to go on and off and on and off as you had a normal conversation.
yup, the glare off other headlights and even signage and reflectors etc.... even white snow lit up by headlights, and its getting way worse with all the white LED's, I'm a big fan of yellow tinted glasses when driving at night.
Tyler, I saw a UA-cam add for something called the "Elite-Tac flashlight". They claim that it is a essentially a light saber and show it starting fires and melting and burning things. You should test those claims!

Love your videos!!! Just wanted to note: the nighttime glasses are for people like me who have pre-cataracts (& I'm only 37 ffs...) who see a ring/glare around lights when it's dark out... I just got a cheap pair off of Amazon, though, not these ones, but they are pretty helpful in allowing me to not get blinded at night by lights!!!

I can't speak about those glasses specifically, but when I was deployed to Afghanistan, we were given yellow-lensed shades, and they actually helped reduce *sun* glare considerably. Maybe not nearly as much as regular polarized sunglasses, but they were definitely better than nothing. As for night-time driving...I'd probably not recommend using tinted lenses at night time. Lol. MAYBE if you live within a city where you're washed with artificial light.
In regards to the glasses, I can guarantee these or the similar yellow o es work as intended, we would give our A10 pilots yellow "high visibility " visors and I always wondered if they did anything. Wear them for 20 min then take them off and you'll see a huge difference, they definitely help in rain as well
The yellow filters reduce the blue light glare, but they also reduce the overall light entering your eye so you see less. There's probably situations where it's beneficial such as highly lit areas with a lot of white/blue/high energy light. Quality glass versions should be better if you suffer problems from glare. If it's really a problem get normal glasses with an anti-glare coating, they work for all light sources, day and night.
Oh my gosh... I remember those elastic bean things! To this day I remember the chemical smell of those... ick. LOL. We got my grandparents a clapper way back in the 80's... Tests glasses made for driving at night inside, goes outside to test spotlight. If he had worn the glasses outside, he might have actually seen that they work. Not just that brand, but yellow lenses in general.
Visible light intensifiers/modifiers don't work if there is no visible light. Also people confuse "night vision" (light intensifiers/modifiers) and IR (infrared) a lot. Most modern militaries use IR on their vehicles since they are usable in even no light situations and longer ranges but they can only see thermal differences so usually you can't see lettering or decals and you can't see through windows.
I agree. As someone who's never watched this channel before that made him look like he has zero credibility. Anyone who rides motorcycles knows about yellow lenses.
Yeah they work for driving at night, because the glasses enhances the contrast at night. Why? Well, because with the color yellow our eyes van see the most contrast. And blocking all other colors makes seeing things like the white lines on the roads pop out more than normal. And filters a lot of strenght from headlights. Most of them even the cheap ones have polaroid lenses aswell. Zo like polaroid sunglasses, the glare from reflection from water on the road wil disappear. Funny way to check if your sunglasses of night vision glasses have polaroid? Hold them in front of a phone and turn them 90 degrees. If nothing happens they are not polaroid.
We had one of those "Clappers" that turn the lights or tvs on and off. But we also had a parrot. Every time the parrot squawked, the lights would turn off and on and off and on, making the house seem haunnted to the neighbors 😂😂😂😂
I have seen both the Clapper and the Amazing Elastic Bubble commercials in the 80s or 90s. I also remember when Bell and Howell made 8 and Super 8 movie camera and projectors. The Tac glasses commercial shows a special forces guy with a gun out shooting. No special forces member would wear reflective glasses like that
Tyler I have used a different brand of the night vision glasses before and they actually did help! I don’t mean see in the dark but when you’re driving at night they took that glare that is around headlights coming at you away! So certain brands of them do actually work! But anyway I just wanted to let you know that I absolutely love watching your videos! You make me laugh so much! You literally have one of the best smiles too, I literally smile every single time you do in your videos!🤩😊🤩😊🤩😊🤩😊So keep the AWESOME videos coming hun!,,🤩😊🤩😊🤩😊🤩😊
Tyler, love the videos btw, I am sure someone else pointed it out but I can't find the comment. BUT just so you know you are bombarded by UV at night and people have even got what is called "moonburn" which is a sunburn from moonlight, also happens to be the name of a band. While most people don't wear sunscreen at night the UV rays can still affect you. Not saying this makes the Night vision glasses better or anything just pointing that out.
Yeah, I think he misunderstood what the purpose of the glasses are. He thought they were supposed to be like military spec night vision. Can confirm the glasses do work well for astigmatism.
My parents had The Clapper plugged into our media room lights, and every time someone would laugh or talk loudly, the lights would start going on and off! 🤣 And we’re a LOUD family, so you can only imagine…
40? years ago they sold yellow sun glasses here in the northwest… as anti depression glasses 😲. they did seem to help some . they made a typical gray rainy day appear to be a sunny day 🤷🏼♂️ but best way to best seasonal depression in the great North Wet… get out of town and head south 😎. love your shows 👍🏼 very good 😎
I do like how you review things like how people will really use these things. Who the hell looks at the instructions booklet that comes with things? It's actually a very precise review for the everyday person.
those glasses you reviewed aren't literally night vision, they are for people who wear glasses and have astigmatism, it reduces the glare from oncoming traffic which is BLINDING if you have astigmatism.
so i have glasses thats kinda like that yellow tac stuff, more like brown actually but anyways they somehow help allot in heavy rain, i can see the road itself better and not overwhelmed by the taillights. i guess its the way light is filtered, they not cheap either, and was bought at a fishing shop
the clapper was picking up the thump of the cord and box hitting the table when you sat it down. its subtle but the "thump thump" was setting off the switch. they are a riot when you have a barky dog. doorbell rings: flashy lights everywhere!
I actually use night glasses when driving long distances on the interstate. It does actually help when driving at night on the interstate for me. It makes the high beams from other cars not hit as hard in my eyes. When it is darker with woods covered areas, it does make it harder to see though. I think it really depends on how sensitive your eyes are with certain colored lights.
I remember them advertising "The Amazing Elastic Plastic" in the mid 90s I want to say. I'm old. I'm 36. ANYWAYS, technically all plastics are elastic since they're polymers. Glasses product is at least based off of legit items, since my father wore something similar while on the motorcycle. He said at night, you would be blinded by tail lights and head lights, so this kind of helps reduce that issue, while not destroying your night vision.
That stuff that you're blowing the bubbles with back in the 70s is when it came out it was called super elastic bubble plastic, it is amazing that that has last this long
I have a Bauer brand tire inflator like this from Harbor Freight. It's a little beefier and I can interchange the batteries with other tools... It works slow but does the job when needed without having to drive around looking for air pumps at gas stations. And yes, the Bauer inflator gets hot also. I suppose it's the moving parts of the pump inside the plastic case.
Man, knowing that those lights could be tricked by walking slowly would have really helped teenage me. I used to have to turn them off hours before I snuck out lol
Sometimes you can beat a motion detector by just holding up a white sheet. I think it blocks certain light signals from going through. But it doesn't work with every kind.
I will say for the "night vision" glasses. I wear something similar, they are just yellow tinted glasses when riding my motorcycle at night and sometimes when driving my car, especially in the rain. It does cut down on the glare, thats the only reason I wear them. Not that I expect that they help me see in the dark. So the advertising on the packaging is a load of crap, but they do have one part of it right.
I used night vison glasses when I played baseball/softball in the outfield for night games. They really helped with the glare from ballpark lights and helped contrast the ball. I don't think they are intended like true night vison gear like military etc. Not sure the ones you tested are the real deal tho.
Those glasses are really good for driving in heavy snow, Bright yellow works better. I live in buffalo and when there is heavy lake effect snow yellow or bright green glasses block the glare off the snow so you can see through it, help in fog too. They are not night vision, they block glare and reflection from headlights.
Hello I’m John from st Clar Shores Michigan. I had the visor thing too, and it did not work for the night vision, glasses, and daytime shades you should get Amber version. It’s much better.
Anyone else think the clapper is terrifying? Imagine just sitting in bed, on your phone or reading a book, something catches your eye from the corner of your room. You decide to lower your book/phone and there's a demon or something staring at you, as you're frozen with fear you hear the most horrifying noise... two slow claps. As you hear this noise the lamp beside you, which also happens to be the only light source in the room shuts off immediately and you're left in the dark for a matter of moments before you either clap twice or rush to turn on another light source.
5:45 1.3 gallons is not much water when you drink almost a gallon a day, those wont last very long but I have Cirkul and they are much longer lasting and have options for natural flavors with no added stuff
The Yellow glasses are AMAZING for concussion headaches, they filter out the blue which helps with the headaches and fatigue. I pick those up for that reason
I have that spot motion light. With the d batteries. And it works awesome. It was -30 this winter and it has still worked on 1 set of batteries for over 5 months
I have the TacVisor in my car, and it indeed does work, and it works very well. I broke the first one, so I bought another one, and the fact that you can't tell the difference means you need to get your eyes checked. You might have a retinal issue. The yellow tint increases contrast in low light conditions, and shooters, military and law enforcement has been using them for decades.
That visor for daytime+nighttime driving, clip it on the other way so when you pull one down, push the other one towards the front so it won't hit your head. The air hawk may be slower than expected but they are talking use for an emergency, say you were on a thru way+your tire lost air pressure, the air hawk would allow you to put enough air in the tire to get to a gas station,so you can get it fixed properly, start thinking long term
I can see the usefulness of the tinted visor (not the night time one obviously) but when i used to deliver pizza driving towards the west would be hell for the couple hours that the sun is setting. basically just a cheaper alternative to getting a strip of tint on your top quarter windshield.

Tyler is like a caveman discovering fire for the first time
😂😂😂
😅🤣
Tyler, love the videos btw, I am sure someone else pointed it out but I can't find the comment. BUT just so you know you are bombarded by UV at night and people have even got what is called "moonburn" which is a sunburn from moonlight, also happens to be the name of a band. While most people don't wear sunscreen at night the UV rays can still affect you. Not saying this makes the Night vision glasses better or anything just pointing that out.
Tyler just barely cutting through the darkness is cursed. I love it.
"Here's my problem with this. This thing... SUCKS."
IKR? The sheer amount of darkness was just hilarious in this video. A cursed like 4 changing pixels talking in Tyler's voice is so funny
This episode of Tyler reacts he tries to turn on a lamp by hitting as many random objects together as possible. I love this man ♥️😂
As someone with an astigmatism, the glare isn’t as bad with those glasses.
I have an astigmatism too, but i thought it was worse 😅
Yeah, I think he misunderstood what the purpose of the glasses are. He thought they were supposed to be like military spec night vision. Can confirm the glasses do work well for astigmatism.
My parents had The Clapper plugged into our media room lights, and every time someone would laugh or talk loudly, the lights would start going on and off! 🤣
And we’re a LOUD family, so you can only imagine…
Glad you went to bunker branding! Been watching Matt since day one.
“ do you get a moon burn?!?” Is my favorite quote
40? years ago they sold yellow sun glasses here in the northwest… as anti depression glasses 😲. they did seem to help some . they made a typical gray rainy day appear to be a sunny day 🤷🏼♂️ but best way to best seasonal depression in the great North Wet… get out of town and head south 😎. love your shows 👍🏼 very good 😎
I do like how you review things like how people will really use these things.
Who the hell looks at the instructions booklet that comes with things?
It's actually a very precise review for the everyday person.
Tyler seems like a legit good dude. Southern too? Hell yea!
Keep doing you, bruv. We're in for the ride, and appreciate ya!
those glasses you reviewed aren't literally night vision, they are for people who wear glasses and have astigmatism, it reduces the glare from oncoming traffic which is BLINDING if you have astigmatism.
You should use am air-compressor with the plastic. See how big it can become
so i have glasses thats kinda like that yellow tac stuff, more like brown actually but anyways they somehow help allot in heavy rain, i can see the road itself better and not overwhelmed by the taillights. i guess its the way light is filtered, they not cheap either, and was bought at a fishing shop
I like how there’s still spaghetti on the wall from him throwing it eons ago
the clapper was picking up the thump of the cord and box hitting the table when you sat it down. its subtle but the "thump thump" was setting off the switch.
they are a riot when you have a barky dog. doorbell rings: flashy lights everywhere!
When i was growing up, those plastic balloon things were 1$ for 5 tubes.
I remember having those plastic bubble things , it smelled like it probably causes cancer, lol
IIRC, when I was a kid it was called "Super Elastic Bubble Plastic."
I lopve Tyler's enthusiasm over the lamp. It's so cute and endearing, as opposed to his usual fumbling about
Definitely a great choice going with Bunker Branding. Matt built himself a great business and has done wonders for various creators.
You are absolutely hysterical! I'm on a Tyler binge! ❣️
Scrolling through Tyler's videos and all of a sudden I see a new one I have to click...
i love how he didnt realize if he set it down and it tapped twice, turning on the light
there is a different version of the clapper
Those glasses actually do help with nighttime driving. And they help reduce glare from oncoming headlights
Glad to see bunkerbranding is getting bigger and getting more creators
I think matts outgrown that new place already 😂
That stuff that you're blowing the bubbles with back in the 70s is when it came out it was called super elastic bubble plastic, it is amazing that that has last this long
"because who would want to turn on a light the conventional way?"
Me when I'm cozy in bed thank you very much
This is why I have Wiz tbh. 🤣 My lights are wifi controlled
Did anyone els notice the rabbit in the background at 19:52
Im so excited to hear you switched to bunker branding! i love that i can get all my fav youtubers merch in one spot!
Man, knowing that those lights could be tricked by walking slowly would have really helped teenage me. I used to have to turn them off hours before I snuck out lol
You can beat a motion detector the same way.
Sometimes you can beat a motion detector by just holding up a white sheet.
I think it blocks certain light signals from going through. But it doesn't work with every kind.
Please couple a bunch of clappers into each other and try plugging things in to see what happens
Did no one else see the rabbit in his yard?
I used night vison glasses when I played baseball/softball in the outfield for night games. They really helped with the glare from ballpark lights and helped contrast the ball. I don't think they are intended like true night vison gear like military etc. Not sure the ones you tested are the real deal tho.
Tyler using different items to activate the clapper is the funniest thing I’ll see today 😂
I was too stoned for the water bottle one tbh 🤣
Those glasses are really good for driving in heavy snow, Bright yellow works better. I live in buffalo and when there is heavy lake effect snow yellow or bright green glasses block the glare off the snow so you can see through it, help in fog too. They are not night vision, they block glare and reflection from headlights.
Tyler is exactly the type of person I expect to have at least 1 of the first product in every room
I get so excited when I see a 40 minute video from Tyler!!
5:45 1.3 gallons is not much water when you drink almost a gallon a day, those wont last very long but I have Cirkul and they are much longer lasting and have options for natural flavors with no added stuff
I have a clapper that I have had since 1985. It is more sensitive to sound then the new models and i can yell to make it work but it still works
The Yellow lens not so good at night but great on foggy days during day light hours
yellow shooting/safety glasses have a solid place when driving. Heavy rainstorms. Clears your vision right up in those.
19:53 a rabbit(?) jumps and the light goes off. Perfect timing!
I look forward to Sunday for your reviews you never disappoint Tyler!!!!
11:54 The Bubbles are amazing
This video reminds me of the wide angle lenses people had on the rear window of a car (mainly old people)
I remember the second thing you showed, the puddy. I think it came out in the late 60s and I'm 60 now and it made me smile to see this stuff again.
I remember back in the 1970's i played with that bubble stuff.. i recall it having an somewhat addictive smell. i wonder if it still small the same.
I can see the usefulness of the tinted visor (not the night time one obviously) but when i used to deliver pizza driving towards the west would be hell for the couple hours that the sun is setting. basically just a cheaper alternative to getting a strip of tint on your top quarter windshield.
