    "Your published work is working for you" BAM!

    Love your work mate. Just a tip on framing people in videos. There is a lot of awkward black space above your head. You don’t need to have your head in the very centre of the shot it actually looks best when there is about the space of an apple from your head to the top of the frame. You can crop in a bit too and it will look much more comfortable. Try it out

    This is the best guidance for portfolios I ever come across so far. You really nail the mental issues of being stuck and how to progress to the finish line, getting it done. Thank you!!

    OMG... Very inspired to go back to web designing as my main career field and I was literally stuck at the portfolio part. Thank you for the info, I wished my uni actually went into depth about this.

      Yeah, uni lack a lot of the practical knowledge of how to navigate your career. Go for it! All the best!

    Clients go to behance? Really? I thought only designers go to behance for inspirations

    • @hellobont
      @hellobont  10 місяців тому +4

      I got my best and highest paying client from Behance. Since it's a niche community, it's much easier to find service providers in there than on Instagram for example.

    I am a junior UX designer and searchin a job, I've met opposite opinion. Someone doesn't care about your progress and just wants to see your best 'perfect' projects. I would like to share with employers how quick I can study, but nobody cares :(

    What social media should i use to post design/dev work?

    • @hellobont
      @hellobont  15 днів тому

      It should be a mixture of the one your ideal clients frequent the most, where you can connect 1:1, and where you feel most comfortable. But priority is: where are your ideal clients hanging out or looking for people who offer design services?

    Great video as usual ! Just to note that 10 000 hours is 1 year 1 month 3 weeks and 16 hours. I guess someone can't work all day 24/24 . Only 4 to 8 hours per day. Maybe with a bootcamp you may get better faster ... food for thought for a new video 🤓

      Thanks man! I advocate for a good work life balance. And plus, it takes time to process ideas. The only way to shortcut the learning process is to focus on one thing 😉
