I've just been back to Myanmar a month ago after 30 yrs. Well, honestly to let you know that none was the same as is in olden times. Getting more crowded , more dirtier and especially very few honest people left, as of the critical financial problems affecting the farmers and low income families.. I love Myanmar, I was born and raised up and educated there and was one time very proud of my country....Now, sadly to say no more....All lies and cheating....
@@mabellukasiewicz4895 As long as the people have no freedom to worship or do economic activities they want, and the govt. keeps warring against the tribal groups in the mountains, Myanmar will not ever return to the prosperous, free days of the past.

Maddie R - it is called thanaka and it is made from the paste of a thanaka tree bark. In myanmar people put it on to cool down since it is very hot there. It is also a form of traditional beauty makeup.
Also it is not just the women. All the people use this paste- Men, Women, Children and even Babies have it on their faces. It is like a natural sunscreen as well as a beauty product.

Appreciate for details sight scene but choice of background musics is very disappointing., I am also wandering, did you guys ask permission to these poor people when you videotaped what they were doing?
