Ryan Gosling stammering in fear when he finds the dead body (Robert Downey Jr in an uncredited cameo), it's an homage to Lou Costello of the comedy team Abbott and Costello.
In addition to the two main leads this flick introduced us to the brilliance of Angourice Rice. So underused in the MCU. Loved this watchalong with you two 😂
@@Jen-Mom Sorry to steal the spotlight away from her for a sec, but if you and you son (please) viewed 1982's Gandhi... that would be beautiful. If there ever was a time in this world to view peace...
I saw this one when it came out on a streaming service and it was at least a decade ago since i laughed so hard while watching a movie by myself, literally LOL! 🤣 Comedy gold! 👌🏼✌🏼
Great flick. When you see the Comedy Store look at the marquis. They misspell my longtime friend Elayne Boosler's name (I know her almost 50 years) LOL Also, it takes place in 1979 (?) and the phone number of the Comedy Store has a much newer area code for L.A. 🙂
I hope not… If so, this is the worst documentary ever made!!! I don’t know how they expect us to believe this true story, if they can’t get the phone number right.. I’ve seen a few documentaries that got small things wrong, but not the phone number.. Oh the humanity!!!!
If you have time/interest, check out some of the promos Gosling & Crowe did - hilarious! Crowe has said that he prides himself on being professional onset, but something about Gosling just tickles him and makes him break character.
It's too obscure for a reaction, but you should check out Angourie Rice's (she played Ryan Gosling's daughter Holly) feature film debut in the 2013 Australian independent movie "These Final Hours." The movie got some negative criticism for its obviously low budget, but everybody gave high praise to Angourie's performance.

Goslings comedic chops are so strong. I'd watch countless films with these two.
yeah, I've been waiting for a sequel!
I love how Ryan starts wheezing like Lou Costello when he finds the body. 😂
It's a brilliant classic. I loved that he brought The Costello back 😂

She’s definitely the highlight of this movie
So glad you two are checking this out! Love this crazy movie. Enjoy!!!
Love this Movie So Underrated❤❤❤ So Happy to see it getting discovered & acknowledged on UA-cam lately...
It's not remotely underrated, it was huge when it came out.
Hello from Romania!!! I'm so happy you have reacted to this underrated movie!!!

I was not prepared for how funny this movie was
Do you remember, the 21st night of September..🥳
The music featured just made this period flick that much better...
yeah, thanks for reacting to this movie! one of my favorites!!!
Y’all’s should certainly check out Shane Black’s other comedy, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang which started his friendship with RDJ.
This movie deserves a sequel.
Almost as good as "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang". Another one writen and directed by Shane Black.
GREAT pick, son and mother!!!

@8:07 That is easily one of the funniest scenes in a comedy film I've ever seen, it destroys me everytime.
Robert Downey Jr played the corpse Sid Shattuck
Funny you mentioned John Boy looking like Henry Cavill - he was actually cast in a Superman project that later became Superman Returns
My son and I think you two would really enjoy the movie RIPD-2013. Very funny 😂
Thanks for the suggestion! 😊
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood vibes
