Good review and tutorial, hate these people who go through all the steps of downloading the bloody thing for 5 minutes of the video, your straight in there to the point, bosh bash bang!!
It's a flash drive , erasable programmable read only memory, not pen drive. The first "pen drives" were a chip with a small window covering it with sticky tape. You installed your program then pulled the tape off, shined a flashlight, torch, into it, replaced the cover and your program was permanently saved. Called EPROM. Thanks
Thanks brian :) i also like the utils for "pe to usb" and one made by novacorp "win to flash", again a free util, really handy for transfering a livexp cd to usb :-) There are some clever and generious freeware programmers out there :-)
So many multiboot creators... Yumi, Sardu, Xboot...the list goes on. Xboot seems like the most intuitive to me. Which one do you personally recommend the most?
@techman771 i bet it would as usb pens are normally formatted like a hdd's with a partition table and partition/boot record, the only thing i would wonder is how to set the bios, hmm. And the partition would have to be set to active before it would boot. Good utilitys arnt they :-)
hey brian, would you make a video on how to completely reformat your computer and start from scratch? like wipe all partitions and junk like that, thanks
I have been making USB drives but I made one DVD and now it defaults o ISO when I want o make a "Flash" drive. Do you have any suggestions. I love this little program. Thanks
Question: If I wanted to add other iso's not on the list can I just drag and drop them in? I tried choosing one of the selections then changing the info but it didn't work? Maybe I need to use a different brand USB stick as I am using one called "DataTraveler102?
after downloading and adding several linux distros ie Debian 7 kde and bodhi ubuntu12.0.4 they either would not boot at all or in the case of Debian it ran of the usb but would not install to hard drive what am i doing wrong i went with the recommended choices and followed the videos i am attempting to install os on its own drive would appreciate any help thanks like the vids and successfully used the repair mbr method using hirens thanks to you
i have 16 gb USB and want to make bootable USB of the following ISO's Win XP, Windows 7 (32 bit & 64 Bit), Windows 10 32 bit & 64 bit What option from the list should i choose when i drag and drop these ISO files? Should I chooses Grubdos ISO image emulation OR Utility ---- PE , MSDART, ERD (windows XP only) fgr windows XP and Utility ---- PE , MSDART, ERD (windows vista & 7 only)for windows 7 and what to do for Windows 10? Please reply need help
Brian, can you do an update? Instead of a USB drive, what about a USB SSD drive? Could be an AIO for everything since you can get 120GB SSD's for $30 USD and even 240GB SSD's on sale for $45 USD. I have not found anything yet for a tutorial on that. Xboot wont do it for some reason. Thanks!
That's because you have checked all of the files you want Winrar to recognise and open with. Easy fix. Right-Click > Choose Default Program > Windows Disc Image File The icon should change, and off you go. Also that is not required the file '.ISO' will stay the same, the only reason it's opening as a 'Winrar' is because you asked it to when installing Winrar! You'll still be able to burn/write to Disc/USB without doing the 'Right-Click' thing. But I recommend it. Hoped this helped. :D
Every time I add several different versions of windows to the multiboot pen drive with xboot obviously it never works right. they copy over just fine without error but when i put it inside the system and the windows launcher comes up and I go through the installation process it asks for hard drive drivers and cant detect any drives to install on. it does it for every windows os. Please help.
@Energy321com Your welcome mate...glad I could help you out.
@arhc2006 First one was not USB it was ISO, and people wanted to see the USB part so I made the video.
Thanks, a great multi boot usb tool. The video is well done. Instruction is clear and video quality is great!

its not working for me and Acronis 2014 rescue ISO. do you think it might be connected to the fact that my system has UEFI based boot?
Unfortunately, the program cannot burn the 64-bit Windows system! Do you have information, my friend, about this problem?

You still use "CDBurnerXP"? I'd recommend you switch to ImgBurn! It's free & it's the best! :)
