I love these videos so much. Emily, when did you start to be less strict with naps? Maybe not less strict but my son is almost 2 and he used to always nap after lunch for 1-2 hours and now he just doesn’t want to nap at all and I’m not sure what to do! Would love some advice! ❤️
Hi! Speech therapist here. One of the things I’ve noticed that Emily always does is talk to her child. I know it sounds silly but her conversations are more than “uh huh” when he’s blabbering on which is more than I commonly see. Overwhelm her with language - exaggerate what you say, use intonation (aka motherese), ask her questions (more than just yes/no questions). Read read read! Turn off the screens and when you do use screens, sit with her and interact with her and what she is watching. You got it Kayla! :)
