this is one of the best programs for architects that I have seen, and it makes me feel that I lost 20 years of my life using 3dsmax Maya arquicad autocad photoshop etc. when this program helps me demonstrate to a real-time client how he can see his house as he can set her gardens, how she transforms with color, textures , the weather.... it's amazing to congratulate you and I look forward to seeing hundreds of tutorials to fully learn your potential.
Not sure if the team is aware, but the border grass no longer works with brushes since the newest update. It it really hard to paint grass with it overflowing onto other objects around it. It would also be way easier if 3D grass was applied like a material! Thank you!

There is a difference between the versions of software we are supplied with and what they are using because I ran into the same problem a couple months ago. And I figured you can adjust the density once you click on a surface but I agree with you. It's not as easy as they show in these videos. And it certainly does not work this way.
Hello, I got a problem with the vegitation scatter tool. It doesn't work... I delete the default floor, drag the default Rocky Grasslands in the scene. Select a few trees, select them and then press the little fill-tool. Nothing happens. Statistics tells me the GPU is at 100% ( Task Manager tells me it is only at 43% max) All settings are at low, GI disabled, SSR disabled,shadows at 10m... But I hit 300+ FPS (on my new 2060 Super 8GB). The s scengraph tells me only the Rocky Grasslands are loaded and not once the scattered vegitation... Some help?

The foliage tools are good, but the grass fading needs a "user defined" distance setting. Far works, but only if you're down at ground level. If you're doing an aerial shot, the grass fading becomes really apparent. In UE4/UE5 we can control this. Please add either a "VERY Far" setting or (preferably) a user defined distance.

For some reason the Lawn 01 even in 100% density still lets you see the ground texture beneath it. Is that a way of fixing it? In TM 2019 it was really dense and you would only see the grass, it looked beautiful.
You need to add more items of the same grass into the same scatter or paint object. Or if using scatter click multiple times in the areas that look empty.

It's impressive, but adding offset geometry to scatter grass without overlapping should be solved in a much better, non destructive way. Simply add a slider (DISTANCE FROM BORDER) and a checkbox (INVERSE) That way, you scatter grass and detail grass in a surface. Select the grass and move the slider until it stops overlapping the border. Now select the detail grass and select INVERSE. So it will only occupy the geometry NEAR the border, while the slider will make it occupy more or less distance from the border.
Why can't I get my lawn to look like that at all? I am getting loose individual strands spread all over. It is definitely way more complicated than what this video is making it seem

Agh some really good features but why take out normal trees and replace them all with fruit trees???? The revamped vegetation is horrible in terms of needs for rendering. They look fantastic but shoulda left the trees and bushes from 2019 in the library. Don’t fix what ain’t broken ...
I love twinmotion, since today! only a 2 low points: 1. please more library, more materials, more objets, more is more for the less is more, please more more more!! 2. please include an asset to urban renders, in the city, in the woods are ok, but the cities please...!
You can add your materials and 3D objects. Materials can be created using maps imported from some web sites. And you can find a lot of free 3D models, too.
you're right. but in my opinion having a good library is useful because you don't have to spend hours looking for 3d models, importing them into twinmotion, adapting materials and textures. In addition, the 3D models imported into twinmotion are very heavy. I hope Epic will improve the library in the future
@@zafmo9829 it is free if you downloaded the 2019 version. It was mentioned before when Unreal took over Twinmotion. An upgrade is from 2019-2020 is free. An upgrade can be downloaded for free in the Epic Store. Some resellers in also give you a step-in discount if you dont have 2019, I believe here you pay €199,- the first year then.
Even if you try harder to make the navigation in the software more difficult, you wouldn't succeed. I am screaming from frustration because of how stupid the UI is. Great software no doubt, but someone has to take an award for the most complicated UI navigation EVER! Painting the real grass is pain in the ass.

i didn't like the older versions so much but i fell in love with Twinmotion 2020..what a cool rendering software even for amateurs..keep it up guys.

When you resync in revit, you loose the tm materials..... 2020 crash a lot of time
Why can we use the scatter/paint tools with the user library, with the limited plant library included it is essential to have this functionally

I don't have the density button. It's just Diameter and Settings in the vegetation scatter screen.
The density button is only available in the "Paint" tool not in the "scatter" tool

It's not possible to use default tress in the 2019 version anymore but you can, of course, continue using trees in your User library.

It's the default lighting setting. I just may have change the shadow to distance to 500meter since the terrain is quite big
