Jae-jun's actor is literally a complete opposite of him lmao he mentioned in his interviews that it was so hard for him to curse repeatedly. And he is really a sunshine IRL!
not sure whether someone already said it, but in this episode the author added the only supernatural element in the show. when the shaman says "should i strip out of these clothes?", it basically means that it was indeed sohee's spirit speaking. because nobody knew sohee said that (except yeonjin), not even dongeun (since she was wearing the headphones when everything happened). that's why dongeun is surprised, it's when the powers and luck were finally on her side.
this reminds me of the first episode, when dong-eun came to the gym and said that yeon-jin is her only dream. when she said this, there was light shining through the doors of the gym and it formed a cross, implying that god was on dong-eun's side from the start and till the end. this is my favorite visual symbolism.
this drama is so good! The Glory was literally Song Hye Kyo’s career renaissance after the messy divorce with SJK. so glad the writer really made sure she does it.
if you (or anyone who reads this) want something similar i’d suggest Anna! the one with Suzy as the lead. that’s what i watched after this and it’s also so brilliant!
The fact that you get so giddy with joy as the terrible people start to get a little of what's coming to them was exactly how I was when I watched, and it's so fun to see you go through this series the same way I did. This is such a fun reaction series!!
This episode hit me hard for Dong-Eun especially that conversation with Do-Young because she wasn't even happy enough to just die. The actor who played his part was phenomenal he could've been just a throw away character but he played him so nuanced that you were drawn into him. In the beginning I had no empathy for him because he picked Yeong-Jin based off the fact that she was wearing the same brand of clothes and the least of amount of them so you get what you get but his portrayal won me over. Again I say eighteen years against someone playing 4-D chess versus Yeong-Jin playing Candyland will never not be funny.

@@himaririku5289 From the moment Yeong-Jin started to 'play' this game with Dong-Eun and didn't take the easy way out she hasn't been on the same level with her opponent because she has never been bright. She's still playing on a high school level where all she can do is bully her with her mother and money. She still playing at this 'elementary' type of mentality where as Dong-Eun has been plotting for almost 20 years and she's a master at this game. It's laughable watching Yeong-Jin trying to act like she can still win this game at this point.
No cuz the tension between jaejun and doyoung makes me want to take a trip to parissssss

Yeonjin’s not the smartest of villains. She’s very impulsive and the only reason why she’s gotten away with it is because of money
Say what you will, out of all of them I think Hyejeong wasn't so bad. Her only sin is that she's a desperate social climber. Sure she was a bystander in the tormenting of her classmates but they said it themselves, if it wasn't Dong-eun, it would've been Hyejeong. She grew a thick face against her friend's constant belittling of her and being around them made her even more desperate to achieve the power and comfort her friends have. All that said, that opening with her saying Yeonjin is fucked is one of my favorites scenes from the series. Her delivery was excellent and so funny.
That's why she got the least severe punishment and still Donggeun helped her to get revenge for Jaejun

Since you've probably finished The Glory now I wanna recommend one of my top, maybe even my no.1 favorite drama series 'Flower of Evil'.
Not gonna give any spoilers but it's a something like a bit of psychological thriller/romance/crime/melodrama with mystery and suspense and sweetness and romance in perfect dose and mix.
There is a lot to the story and lots of why's from the start that don't connect until later and it has everything from well written characters and great well written story that unravels more throughout the series so in perfect pace you'll find out more and more and how things connect etc and you'll get served the whole register of emotions and the best OST.
It's not too dark or sad or hard to follow but still intricate and it will fully have your heart and soul.
It's really well written and beautiful and suspenseful.
The actors are all great.
I think you'd really like it too.
I will definitely rewatch through your reactions if you react to it.
And I'll say it again, the OST is so good that I'm still listening to it.

The glory is the best time I've watched Jung Sung-il's acting and wow its phenomenal
The real plot twist of this drama is Lee Do Hyun (Joo Yeo-Jeong) and Lim Ji Yeon (Park Yeon-Jin) are dating in real life :))

The Shaman died because she was playing with the gods, remember that Moon wanted her to do a fake ritual? Remember the Shaman told Park Yeon-jin mother that she can't play with the gods and she still did for money and to save herself from jail; the Shaman's punishment was 💀
