but those unique crusader knights can't actually be converted- it would be confusing and potentially dangerous not knowing which was which

@Alien Reject really slow fire rate andlow accuracy... and can easily be countered with siege/archers. Not the case for the cross horses
You can create a graphic mod that replaces cavalier with the crusader knight and paladin with ulrich von jungingen

Teutons vs Goths is a favourite matchup of mine. I love mix of quantity vs quality and fast vs slow.

Lol teutons vs goths is completely one sided. All goths infantry is basically useless because Teuton champions and TKs are significantly stronger than anything goths can make. Goths would have to rely on siege and Teutons get better siege too. You'd have to force the Teuton player into Paladin somehow and then counter with halb/siege but that's a big stretch. It's a civ win from the gun

Trying to watch a game from Viper’s POV is like having a seizure. He’s just so fast. That’s why T90 is so good. We get to watch you top players without foaming at the mouth.

I used to go at 1.5x speed and always was getting headaches. Took me a while to figure out why lol

TK + skirm might be a good combo even though Tuet skirms are bad - just to kill enemy CA's and handcannons
It's such a slow combo it's tough to win against good players with no mobility. If you're gonna go for a slow death ball with teutons you can't have half your army be weak skirmishers. You need scorpions/onager to counter ranged units and trebs/BBC to put pressure on their buildings and force a reaction.
Tbf it should be very good in mid and low elo, but in top elo just like the other guy says mobility will destroy us. Hand canonneers will destroy the composition as well. It's always ideal to have gold units since they are usually for more than just countering. Knights counter archers in loose numbers and requires the archer player to watch their units closely. Teutonic knights prevent any sort of infantry from Tatoh. If he goes hand canonneers Onagers will be hard to deal with, so even in paper if skirms + tk sounds good, there are just better alternatives since the pros are really good at spending resources and maintaining good eco balance.

Scouts would slow down his castle age too much, and he wanted the game to go late from the start.
If tatoh adds some pikes - no. Scouts needs all their fedual upgrades to beat archer + pike combo

It's the idle villager count. I think he is using a mod to make it more visible than the default yellow icon.

@@quaintserpent only slow because of the cape. It must be really awkward to draw a sword when wearing a cape. And movement in general would be affected in combat by wearing a cape.
