You should probably use some sand and water in the tumbler, you might actually get some damage instead of just making things dirty.

PLEASE!!!! Please, next rock tumbler video use aggregate, and water like typically you’re supposed to. You don’t have to change the aggregate to make it finer, and finer. Just medium, and let It roll. Everything wouldn’t be rubbery and black like every other video, and it would wear down things in a much more interesting way. Edit: After his first Rock Tumbler video where he didnt use any aggregate, everyone made sure he knew his mistake in the comments, and he made sure to use it in his next rock tumbler video... But now he's just back to his old ways for some reason...

In order for the rock tumble to work and wear down the rocks you have to add the grit to the canister. Nothing will really happen to anything you add to the canister if you don't use the specific grit. You can also add water, it makes it a little easier to destroy everything in there...

Soooperspeed it was bits of the rubber lining from the inside of the tumbler (meant to keep it from leaking the water that’s supposed to be in it) combined with bits of the busted up stuff.

Some new ideas for leaving things in stuff for long periods of time. Leave stuff in... dawn dish soap, degreaser, lysol, wet dirt (maybe bury it in yard, or in jars), toilet bowl cleaner (you can also buy straight up hydrochloric acid and also sulphuric acid)...

I’ll say this again, you’ll do a whole lot better if you write things down or record them as you’re going on a piece of paper or whatever so you don’t forget things. Even record what you think will happen or what you want to happen, and then later see what actually happens after the experiment.

My best recommendation for you with the rock tumbler videos is an ultrasonic bath, relatively cheap and it's perfect for lazy people like myself.
Dump some hot water and dish soap into it as well as the tumbled objects, easy.

Water, soda, bleach, acid, chlorine, thick water, syrup, milk, liquid soap, rubbing alcohol, beer, lacquer thinner, paint

Could have a pan or table that your not worried about getting dirty. Then dump the tumbler and see if anything is stuck inside to know for sure that you have gone threw everything and nothing is missing unless its fully destroyed. But loved the video :)

The black powder was almost definitely just the aluminum foil. When turning balls of foil into polished metal balls was popular I tried it and my hands were covered in aluminum particles. Being in a tumbler for 30 days would have certainly turned it into dust.
