I believe the judge was happy that she did not understand the full meaning of the song but she was able to emote the sadness because she new it as a sad Sunday. Even as a small child she would be aware what sadness is and how it feels. Her IQ and music IQ are off the charts.
I believe she knows the meaning of the song very well and tried to direct us to a sad Sunday. But after this performance I never heard her singing this again, because she understood we are not ready for this. Why does Angelina sing barefooted? Angelina Jordan is known as "The Barefoot Princess" or "The Barefoot Princess of Jazz," amongst many other names. She always performs barefooted, whether in front of a live audience or during a studio performance. The story is that while living in the Middle East, at 6 years old, Angelina came across an orphaned girl, of her own age, sitting in the street, weighing people on a bathroom scale to earn money. Angelina said to herself, "I would like to share her life for one second to know what it is like to sit alone, wet, and damp, and barefoot in a corner of the street." She started singing at age 11/2 and at age 2 was introduced to jazz by her mother Mery Zamani, who is an artist and poet, and was herself a child prodigy. Angelina spent countless hours listening to the great jazz singers and practicing imitating them, and she says that she got the most inspiration from Holliday.
Mery Zamani is Angelina's grandmother; her mother is Sara Astar (Astar is Angelina Jordan's last name) She has been bi-lingual her whole life, so her English is impeccable.

He died when she was 13, and she wrote a song called "Million Miles" for him after he died. She realized that many children around the world do not have shoes and wanted to bring attention to this problem by not wearing shoes when she performs.

It's alittle harder to Understand and even more hard to speak it but it's actually closer in writing then Swedish. It's very similar in writing. Us Norwegians don't really count that as speaking another language since it's so similar. It's like English and Scottish. It's similar but different.. I say it's alittle more different then English and Scottish /Australian/ American or Any the other English speaking languages but still very similar..
There are videos of Angelina working with the musicians for her final performance on Norway's Got Talent. She knew how she wanted to sing the song and she made sure the musicians knew it too. Angelina is not just a talented singer but a naturally gifted arranger as well.

Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. Based on the true story of when she was six years old, Angelina met a homeless, shoeless girl. After they talked for a long time, she gave the girl her shoes and vowed never to appear on stage again wearing shoes until all the world's children had them. Since that time, Angelina has always performed barefoot in public.
And... that girl promised to pray for Angelina.... I think, that we can all see/feel the affect of her prayers. How many times have we heard or read someone saying,"I don't know what it is about her voice, but, it cuts right into my heart."

Why does Angelina sing barefooted? Angelina Jordan is known as "The Barefoot Princess" or "The Barefoot Princess of Jazz," amongst many other names. She always performs barefooted, whether in front of a live audience or during a studio performance. The story is that while living in the Middle East, at 6 years old, Angelina came across an orphaned girl, of her own age, sitting in the street, weighing people on a bathroom scale to earn money. Angelina said to herself, "I would like to share her life for one second to know what it is like to sit alone, wet, and damp, and barefoot in a corner of the street." Angelina could see the girl's bare feet were scarred and that it was cold outside, so she offered her own shoes to the girl. Little Angelina says that she really loved her shoes, as they were very nice and she knew she would miss them. But she saw the other little girl’s need for them, which outweighed her own desire to keep them. So she insisted the little girl take them.
Angelina called her Princess, even though the girl said she didn't live in a castle, but the ruins of a building next to where she sat. After sharing their hopes and dreams, the little girl said of Angelina's wish to sing for the world, "You will become the one you dream of and when your dreams come true, you have to remember the poor children without shoes; and I will pray for you Angelina.” Later that day, 6 y/o Angelina wrote in her diary, "The world is very strange. Right then and there, I felt as if a door in my heart opened up, and it was filled with lots of lights. It was as if there was, from Earth to Heaven, a staircase. I climbed the stairs. To be able to do something for another human - it was such a big thing…hard to describe really.”
From that point on, Angelina takes off her shoes, in honor of ‘Princess’ and all the other less fortunate children of the world, who are orphaned, hungry, or in want of even basic clothing. In 2015, at the age of 9, Angelina wrote a book about the encounter, as everyone continued to ask why she sang barefoot. Her grandmother, Mery Zamani, created the artwork for the book. So at 9, Angelina Jordan became the youngest published author in Norway. Angelina has performed alongside many other artists, raising attention and helping to raise over 21 million euros and millions of dollars for children in need.

Angelina is singing in the style of Billie Holiday. She started singing at age 11/2 and at age 2 was introduced to jazz by her mother Mery Zamani, who is an artist and poet, and was herself a child prodigy. Angelina spent countless hours listening to the great jazz singers and practicing imitating them, and she says that she got the most inspiration from Holliday.
Mery Zamani is Angelina's grandmother; her mother is Sara Astar (Astar is Angelina Jordan's last name) She has been bi-lingual her whole life, so her English is impeccable.

When she was very young and traveling, Angie saw a poor little girl who had no shoes. Deeply moved, she gave the girl her own shoes and vowed to always sing barefoot in memory of that little girl.

He died when she was 13, and she wrote a song called "Million Miles" for him after he died. BTW, They speak Norwegian in Norway. And yes, she never wears shoes when she is singing because she had met a very poor girl when she still quite young and was traveling. The girl had no shoes and was looking at Angelina‘s shoes and saying that they were very nice. Angelina immediately took off her shoes and gave them to the girl. She realized that many children around the world do not have shoes and wanted to bring attention to this problem by not wearing shoes when she performs.

She will be 19 Jan. 10, 2025 and speaks Norwegian, Farsi (Iranian) and English, she can also sing in Japanese. Omer Bhatti (the1that interviewed her) about 2 years after this at Christmas time in US visiting the Jackson's he introduced her singing to Michael's mother.
Angelina is 7 years old in this video. Angelina started singing when she was 1 1/2 years of age and there is video of her at that age sitting in a bed with a microphone in her hand singing Whitney Houston's "I will always love you ". You need to go back to when Angelina was 6 years old in the studio singing and recording a Tom Jones classic " I who have nothing " and work your way to current day. Angelina is 18 years old now and will be 19 years old as of January 10th 2025.

Do not forget Swedish, her father’s language. Granted rather close to Norwegian. There is an early interwiew where she used the Swedish word for grandmother and it had to be translated into Norwegian

Us Norwegians don't really count that as speaking another language since it's so similar. It's like English and Scottish. It's similar but different.. I say it's alittle more different then English and Scottish /Australian/ American or Any the other English speaking languages but still very similar..

Why Angelina always performs barefoot
At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are.
Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes.
Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true.
Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East.
