FYI...she was personally invited by Quincy Jones to sing this to open his 85th birthday celebration at O2 Arena in London, the opening act for Q at 12 years old, and she killed it.

She's Norwegian. She speaks Norwegian, Swedish, Farsi English and at least some Japanese.. she does her own arrangements. Extremely smart. And there is a video of her singing I will always love you at 18 months old on utube.

I don’t think they encourage or allowed Angelina to get into the music industry, it’s more like she said she wanted to go on Norway’s Got Talent, and her mother tried to put her off by saying she had to be ready before she would allow her to go on the show. Angelina worked very hard and by the time she was 7 she was ready and her mother had no argument to prevent her from being on the show, especially after Angelina worked so hard to meet the requirements. Her mother realized in the moment she was performing “Gloomy Sunday” in her audition that she had lost her daughter to the music industry, but they did protect her childhood and put off the vultures that were knocking on the door.
Angelina learned to sing from listening to jazz artist that her grandmother would play around the house, and later she listened to a lot of artist online through UA-cam and other sources. Her grandmother was a child prodigy in her own right in poetry and visual arts.

With one exception, imho, "We're the best" at the FIFA awards was a footballkiddisong, luckily no one talks about it anymore... Frohes neues Jahr Elmar!

AJ has said in interviews when she was young, when shecis in stage he has no fear not nervous at all and when she is singing its like breating to her, she only gets nervous when she has to talk or have interviews. As far back as 6 years old she had no problems singing in front of crowds,, at 8 years old she was singing in front of 40,000 people and millions on TV and on line.

At this ripe old age of 8, she had already had 5 years experience listening to classic jazz singers, Ella, Billie, Frank, Louis. In the early years, as with any child, copying a style is natural. But obviously, this child has a connection to music that we will never understand.

AJ is great. She embodies a forty-two year old, twice divorced, hard drinking, chain smoking crooner at twelve. For a completely different spin, however, one must head back to the Philippines for Gigi de Lana's cover of this classic. It is mind-blowing.

Angelina literally started singing at 18 months...Whitney Houston I Will Always Love You. There is a video of that. She grew up listening to classic iconic Jass singers like Billie Holiday...her biggest influence, Etta James , Dinah Washington, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Louie Armstrong, etc etc and the list goes on. These music was introduced to her by her grandma Mery Zamani who is a well-known Iranian painter.❤❤👣❤❤

The story is, she's born with music 🎶 she told us at her last concert, she named her doll Frank Sinatra and sang for him a Whitney Houston song at the age of one and half 💕 never heard this from other children 😮
No wonder why she won NGT in a landslide at the age of 8 with jazzy old songs 😊

Thanks a lot for the reaction to Angelina The Barefoot Jazzy Queen with a hypnotic voice.
Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman.
Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on UA-cam. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz.
Mery Zamani is Iranian and was a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage.
Why Angelina always performs barefoot At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate.
At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. PLEASE PURCHASE Angelina’s book from her merchandise store on her official website, angelinajordanofficial Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children”. Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on UA-cam went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old. In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration. Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. All before Angelina turned 14. At age 9, Angelina recorded a music video covering the 1956 Jay Hawkin’s classic, “I Put a Spell On You”. The video begins by showing Angelina writing her “wishes” for how she wants to perform the song. Angelina has always created her own arrangements for her cover songs. At age 10 and just a week before her 11th birthday, Angelina recorded a demo of “I’m Still Holding Out for You”. Her family never pursued having that recording officially released but someone leaked it on a UA-cam video. Thankfully, everyone involved with that song is now ok with the leaked version. Many angels (fans) believe this is one of Angelina’s best performances. When Angelina was 11, she performed a number of concerts in Norway with a jazz/rock band. Those concerts included up to 14 songs, each remarkably performed. Angelina seems to be at her best when on stage, never nervous, only 100% confident. Also at age 11, Angelina recorded her “It’s Magic” album which has, at times, been in the top 10 best selling jazz albums. On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed Frank Sinatra “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year. During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each. In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina was eliminated after covering Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on UA-cam. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. On UA-cam, search on The Complete Works of Angelina Jordan as Rusty Shackleford has put all songs in one file and has a complete playlist in the description of that video. The pandemic hit shortly after her performances on AGT and likely caused a change of plans by her family, most notably her Uncle Michael who is her manager. Her family agreed to a contract with Republic Records in August 2020. Republic Records declared Angelina Jordan their highest priority new artist. Reportedly her family requested Republic to allow her as normal a childhood as possible and therefore have yet to fully promote her. During the pandemic, Angelina was often seen buying meals for the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. In November 2020, Angelina released “Million Miles” which she wrote after the passing of her beloved maternal grandfather. She dedicated the song to anyone who has ever lost a loved one. Angelina had previously released, 3 other original songs: “What is Life”, “Oslo” and “Shield” In April 2021, her original “7th Heaven” was released. A jazzy, danceable, inspiring song. Angelina has posted numerous short performances on Tik Tok and Instagram. Angelina had concerts in Norway in July 2022. In December 2022, Angelina performed at the Asian American Awards in Los Angeles. On 2/27/23, Angelina performed at the FIFA Awards ceremony in Paris, France, with a viewing audience in the millions. On May 5th, 2023, Angelina released her original "Love Don't Let Me Go". On July 23th she released her orginal EP “Old Enough”.
Angelina perform Concert at the Music Hall in Portsmouth New Hampshire on Sept 22nd, 2023. On 10/27/23 she released her new orginal singiel “Our Time”. In November 2023, she was presented as a debutante at Le Bal des débutantes in Paris. On 12/08/23 she released new Marry Christmas EP “Driving Home for Christmas”. On 12/10/23 she sing in Oslo at the Nobel Peace Prize Celebration - Unchained Melody tribute to 2023 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Iranian human rights activist Narges Mohammadi. On february 29, 2024 she had two concerts in Las Vegas, Nevada,on the Elvis stage.
On May 16, 2024, the first fruits of Angelina's cooperation with Tobi Gad were released. This German composer and record producer based in Los Angeles invited Angeline to an intimate concert at the Hotel Cafe JESSE & FRIENDS, the same one where Adel sang and was discovered. Tobi then took Angelina to London, where she performed His song If I Were A Boy at the London Palladium, and they recorded two versions of the song, Live At Saint James Church, and another studio version illustrated with a film from the streets of London. It seems that Tobi has started cooperation with Angelina and there are several joint songs in the pipeline. At the May concert in Los Angeles, one of them was presented: BAD VALENTINE.
Angelina perform Concert at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, CA on Sept. 20th, 2024. On the same day she released her new orginal singiel in cooperation with Tobi Gad Bad Valentine.
On Dec. 14th 2024 she perform Christmas concert at El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles (LA), CA, US.

"How does her little 8 year old brain know how to do that"?
She was mainlining musicality from her grandma's large collection of jazz albums at a very early age, supplemented by UA-cam videos in other genres.
Everyone, no matter how inadequate they feel they sing, would do well to listen to great music, sing around the house and encourage their kids to do the same. Despite incorrect diagnoses by music teachers or others, often out of impatience rather than knowledge, it is exceedingly rare for someone to truly be tone deaf and you almost certainly are not one of them. Participating in music is one of the pure joys God has given us and letting what someone else has to say deprive you of that joy is a tragedy.

Peter, we know that you are one of the most devoted Angels out there, and your four-word comment seems to sum this guy up. Despite the avalanche of information we have been giving him about Angelina, he still shows unacceptable ignorance about her and still keeps asking the same questions over and over again. That inevitably conveys the impression that he has no genuine interest in Angelina, as it seems that he never bothers to read the comments, despite continually requesting comments. Unfortunately, this begs the question of whether he just happened to have caught on to the fact that reactors to Angelina have among the fastest-growing channels, and it is hard to avoid the feeling that he is merely using her immense UA-cam popularity to grow his own channel. I actually appreciate his comments and his obvious acknowledgement of and admiration for her talent, and if this helps to promote Angelina, I do commend him for that. But, he "got an idea that she might be from Germany or Norway"?? And "her parents allowed her to get into the entertainment industry"?? I also find it ridiculous that he can still make a statement like "I don't know her story" after the deluge of accurate info that we have given him. It regrettably makes his statement that he wants to know the story seem disingenuous.

You are right this guy says he reads the comments but keeps asking the same questions over and over in this case about Angelina Jordan which are answered over and over again in the comments. At one time he was asking if Angelina spoke German because she was from Norway. Eh why would she speak German, she is from Norway they speak Norwegian there. I think he is going after all the popular UA-cam videos to grow his YT channel as fast as possible. He is already calling this the fastest growing reaction channel on UA-cam which it is certainly not. He says he uploads 10 videos a day. I know one other YT channel who uploaded 10 videos a day on the same YT channel. Result was the entire UA-cam channel got deleted by UA-cam because UA-cam sees 10 edited videos uploaded a day as spam after a while. Gone was their 150.000 dollars a month income. This guy has seen multiple Angelina videos and the comments are filled with information about Angelina and he only finds out Angelina is from Norway now !? He tells people to drop answers to his questions in the comments but never reads them. He has an entire team set up a list for artists to react to. Other reactors have to read the comments for suggestions to other artists this guy has a team of people do it for him. So he doesnt need to read the comments at all and doesnt learn anything about the artists. Other reactors actually learn about the artist from the comments. I think this guy is going for the 100.000 YT subscribers as quickly as possible so he can make the big bucks of UA-cam as fast as possible. Rubs me the wrong way that he doesnt learn about the artists from the comments and keeps asking the same questions over and over again. Also that he has a team that fills in a list for him with the most popular UA-cam videos to react to. He has to do no effort of reading the comments , learning about the artists and looking for recommendations to other artists in the comments. I'd rather watch reactors who have to put effort in and read the comments to learn about the artist. No other reactor can put out 10 edited videos a day as they have to read all the comments for new suggested artists. This guy has his team of people set up list of artists to react to for him. It results in going too quick through all the popular artists daily. No one can keep up with that pace of uploads and it will end up with no more popular UA-cam videos to react to. I have seen this happen with other reaction channels too. They run out of popular artists / YT videos to react to and resort to react to football, basketball, soccer games, Word War 1 and 2. Rally racing, motor racing, boxing and documentarys. I am of to reactors who read the comments and actually put effort in to learn about the artists not use these artists to grow his YT channel as fast as possible. I am out !

How does she know how to do that at 8? Amy Winehouses' spirit decided to jump into her body when she was born.

Dude, she's Amy Winehouse, reincarnated! Also, I've seen several of her performances with the same guitar player, and I believe that's her father. But not sure
