Very well deserved all star bid, all NBA seems like a formality. Realistically 2nd or 3rd team. Luka and Shai look poised to be the first team All NBA backcourt. But Brunson is a budding superstar, a 3 level scorer. Crafty, his finishing is probably the best part of his game. He must’ve been playing with grown men young because he’s the most comfortable true PG in the tree’s beyond Kyrie.
For a guard that small to have that much skill and ability, the size is irrelevant because he is just a high level basketball player overall.
MVP maybe premature but the argument is becoming easier when I keep seeing him close games like that. Like a cerebral player. Just rises in the biggest moments.
I haven’t forgotten the Knicks were a second round exit last year and Brunson was the guy then too. He just keeps developing, Knicks got what they PAID FOR. A superstar closing PG.

Julius will bust ass in the playoff because he has a better supporting cast and Coach Tibs will put him in position to succeed with the squad.
@HJesse88 🤣🤣, Randle is far from a #2 option. He's playing second fiddle to a guy that isn't even a #1 option. What does that tell you? Randle will always struggle in the playoffs, especially against good defensive bigs. When the game slows down and teams focus on him, he doesn't have the skill set to dominate like that. He's not a great ball handler, one-on-one player, shooter, back to the basket player, and he's not super athletic as an undersized 4. He's possibly 6'7" with shoes off and doesn't jump out of the gym. In the regular season, he gets easy baskets. In the playoffs, he has to work for those shots. Hence why he struggles. He won't be a Knick for long, especially after he underperforms again this season in the playoffs.
There is not a single thing not to like about Brunson. Smart, humble, skilled, and the heart of a lion. He's a throwback.

It took about a month before the whole city of New York loved this guy, he’s well respected. The air time will come if he goes to the finals, look at jokic, he had multiple mvps, I watch a lot of basketball and barely even saw the guy play, then he was in the finals, everyone saw what he was all about, same thing with Brunson. He has to get himself on the big stage.

Whats even crazier about Brunson's performance tonight is the fact that the Pacers doubled Brunson in the 4th EVERY time he touched the ball. With no OG and no Randle, the Pacers correctly deduced that they cant let Brunson beat them with their 2nd and 3rd best players not out there.
Yet DESPITE all the double teams and extra attention and defensive looks the Pacers threw at him, Jalen Brunson scored 15 of his 40 points in the 4th quarter through all the doubles. Just unbelievable he seems to somehow get better and better every single game. Joy to watch

Yea ,watching the game every guy stepped up and made clutch plays tonight. Announcers saw it too. Hartenstein had 19 or 20 rebounds, precious achiwua got a clutch block on Siakam and then the put back on the other end. Hart had some great drives and got that save that led to a transition bucket. Everyone stepped up, which is why the Knicks don’t need that high end talent

TNT forced to give praise to Knicks and Brunson....Kenny and Shaq were damn near silent....lolllllll....a short handed Knicks team minus Mitch Robinson, Randle, Og, Grimes still won this game and also despite HORRIBLE officiating....9 str8 wins, best defense in the NBA, half game outta 2nd place and only 5 outta 1st place....when we get all our players back healthy we are gonna be beasts....hope the league is taking notice

Brunson is one of the most impressive guards in the last 10 years, a true leader and a great player. Together with the beast of the east Randle, they can beat anyone in a series of 4. This might be my favorite Knick team since the Ewing era. Grit grit grit. I was so happy when they got Hartenstein, the man was underrated, still is.. now with Hart and OG...man.. The only thing missing now is a good backup 4.

It'll be interesting to see how Brunson develops. But the Brunson situation in Dallas was similar to Harden in Oklahoma. Too much talent in one team, Harden leaving was the best choice and it seems for Brunson it might have been the best move.
