They should have waited until that baby was a bit older and bigger before doing the re-introduction.
Absolutely heartbreaking 💔
I agree they rushed it
@@ericaknesek3266 you are all gorilla reintroduce specialist...
some how to me it doesn't feel like a success. just 3 lonely gorilla's kept in a larger cage but dependant on humans who used them cruelly to begin with. plus how feasible is it to keep going financially? for how long?? if they add more gorillas how will they react?
If they would've just left the animals alone from the beginning but instead some one have told them they own these animals. The sad part is they've invaded these people land and now think they own everything in it 👹👹👹
Watching ‘The adventure of the gorillas reintroduced in Gabon’ is an emotional and educational experience. The close-up shots and HD quality make you feel like you’re right there with them. Kudos to the filmmakers for this stunning piece of work!
Ele morreu??
Sad to know that their natural habitat is quickly disappearing and they are dwindling in numbers every year. What a shame for this Magnificent animal !! 💔
😭 Ich liebe Affen ❤
How could they abandon the baby and leave it to its own Fate, as the narrator had said, If you care for one gorilla baby then you care for them all.
Merci encore.
You can easily see they have no experience in doing this! Those transmitters are huge to place inside them 😢
What a great beginning to the documentary!
Kim placing the baby on the back was so cool to see! This is an awesome documentary; I wish there were more!
Ive got 2 devices implanted....no biggie...thats a big beautiful boy!
Very sad; a baby was lost and that didn't have to happen. Very sad. Clearly, the way this release would have to be done is give them a little more area each day until the caged area is so big you can completely take down walls, which would take a lot of money..or have a team that goes and stays with them in the forest until they are deemed comfortable. Only a family without a baby should be submitted for this release.
My theory is the family is hiding and protecting baby Congo from the uncaring scientists. The. Father especially weed too much to let harm come to his precious boy. Yes ?
The way that the mother left the baby on the ground multiple times , I’m surprised the team didn’t go look for the baby in case she just left it somewhere,
Yes, your remark is relevant (surprising that there mother leaves him like that)..but hey, I'm not a specialist and "the return to nature", must, I think, take place without external intervention..It's also the subject of this reintroduction.
@mhv8855
Yes, but gorilla do like chimpanzees do you not so much think?
@@linkzelda1932 Chimpanzees do not particularly like gorillas..Besides, they attack gorillas to steal their babies and eat them..and yes!!! the chimpanzee is ommivorous while the gorilla is vegetarian, which makes all the difference between the two species.
Dommage pour le bébé 😢

But the opposite is something else... the chimpanzee is ommivorous, fighting, therefore eats meat... moreover we have seen Chimpanzees attack families of gorillas to take their children and in fact eat them.. While the Gorilla is much stronger than a Chimpanzee but it is not in its nature to fight against another weaker one. This is why if you meet a Gorilla in the wild, it will not attack you. will not attack (he is a hervibore)..you lower your head in submission, you step back and he will leave you alone..because he knows that you are the weakest and that you do not attack him..Don't Don't stare into his eyes though, that's a sign of aggression. And a simple "slap on the shoulder" and you're dismembered? he has incredible strength..But no problem with a gorilla if you respect a certain distance..
Why wouldnt they follow the female gorilla when she came to the scientist for help? between leaving the baby with the villagers and not going to see what the momma was trying to tell them. This doc is heartbreaking.
The baby with the villagers was a different baby than the baby that the scientists left with its mother in the lagoon.
The mother of the baby with the villagers was murdered by the villagers so they could sell the baby to make money. The scientists could not convince the villagers to give them the baby for free so that baby was left with the villagers.
The mother and baby that were on the lagoon were part of the family that the scientists were trying to rehome on the lagoon.
was für intelligente Geschöpfe Gottes ❤❤
I’ve seen a team who saves gorillas in the past on UA-cam they just tell the person it’s against the law we have to take it and they walk away with the baby.Of course best to have law-enforcement with you.
A drone would have been helpful in keeping track for the first week at least (if they had any). The baby gorilla maybe fell off the back of the mama from all the excitement of new environment and was never noticed. Tiny body hidden from the tall shrub. So sad!!
This documentary takes place in a year 2000. No drones.
God Bless All Of You
Bravo !! A toute les équipes un travail formidable !!
Great documentary. I was surprised to see the aggression of the gorilla
What a privilege
Merci pour ce magnifique reportage ❤
Déjà vu mais bien une seconde fois 😊
Travail magnifique !
Hes beautiful
My dream job, above n before anything or anyone else, to be able to work with and save gorillas!!
Hello from Ontario Canada
I am sooo very happy to know that they will be returned to their natural habitat. Seeing these big strong beautiful gorillas behind bars makes me feel physically sick to my stomach. They look soooo out of place behind bars. Thank you sooo much for your wonderful video. ❤😊
This entire doc is an expose on how not to rescue gorillas. Paints a poor picture of humans, period.
Why on earth did they leave that poor baby gorilla with that people that murdered its mother? They left it to either die or be sold into abuse. Those people committed a crime in killing its mother so take the baby for f**ks sake. Unbelievable. I’m am so angry that a vet would walk away from that little soul. Locked in a box to cry its little heart out!
I could be wrong, but I don't think they want to invest in gorillas, just chimpanzees.I think they said this at the beginning of the program. It takes a lot of money and time to rear a baby gorilla. In the States, they ask for money to help support when raising the baby gorilla ( especially if they don't get funds or have big money coming in from admissions).I could be wrong, though.
They claimed self defense, obviously it’s bs but it’s not like they’re law enforcement just bc they’re white lol. They probably were given the choice to buy it or gtfo.
If they take the baby gorilla, they would have to pay for him. Then it would be only a matter of time before that village has five more baby gorillas they want to sell. They are in poverty.
@@DogFiles they were told it’s a crime to kill an endangered species. Put the fear of arrest in them if they do it again. That baby is frightened and should be with people who know how to raise it and feed and care for it. I don’t care if they are poor . Find another way to survive. Gorillas are extremely endangered and could be gone from our planet if this continues.
I would love to take care of gorillas ❤

J'aimerais votre avis..
Très bon raisonnement.
Cela n'est qu'un grand parc.
17:20 THAT RAT GORILLA SCREACHING NEEDS TO SHUT UP!

bravo bravo
Le bruit du bébé gorille incroyable
Que maravilla
This is a terrible trial, the operation for the transmitter, disaster, the table not big enough, no clamps or straps to hold hands and feet just terrible 😢
So sad something happened to the baby. It certainly didn’t take long. Something scared mom out of there
I'd like to know what happened to the baby. They should've put a tracker on the whole family.

Also the dad will be forced to mate with his daughter when she is older. This not natural according to a study did by " Dian fossey" yet it will happen because they dont have any other non family members in the group.Maybe like they said they can introduce more into that area soon. Hopefully before the daughter comes into heat( or whatever its called) .If not and has babies by her dad this will contaminat their gene pool. This is the study fossey did on gorillas.
You have broken my heart with your experiment.
I have cried for days. You destroyed this beautiful family. You have zero common sense. A newborn released into the wild ?!?!
Natural Habitat?!?! Their natural habitat is the medical facility where they were care d for and had shelter.
You left them without shelter
You left the baby so vulnerable
You left the family vulnerable, no shelter, they don’t know how to forage for food
What the hell were you thinking
What happens when it rains
They fear gettting wet
Look at them at a zoo setting and see
I am so upset
I grieve this wonderful family
They cherished their little Congo
Shame on you all
How will you make this right
Make it right
In China, at least, they provided container type shelters for their release
Are you going to Dave/ rescue your experiment family
Or will you leave the beautiful family to perish
Profound sadness and tears

Other groups have successfully rehomed captive gorillas and chimpanzees. These groups should have been consulted to discuss what went right and what went wrong in their efforts before any action was taken by this group. This group of scientists seemed to not have studied and thought about all of the problems that could be involved and then implemented a true plan that covered contingencies.
When you are dealing with different groups of people it is necessary to understand what is important to each group.
For example, take the villagers. The scientists just went to one house where the people had murdered the mother gorilla to get the baby and the scientists tried to convince that family that there wasn't any money to be made selling the baby so just give the baby to them. It was obvious that the family wanted and needed money to buy food, clothing, land, etc. for their own family members. The scientists offered the villagers NOTHING for SOMETHING.
It seemed that no one had ever had any contact with VERY important groups of people, the political leaders and the contributors/investors, to have successful interactions and negotiations.
Let's talk about the scientists and the purpose of the Research Facility. The big facility that they worked for had a totally different purpose than to rehome primates. Their purpose was to use primates for medical research purposes. The chimps and gorillas were housed in small cages, not in any natural setting where they had any real social interaction with humans. And where was the recognized expert in rehoming that should have been on the team?
Now for the most needed part of any project anywhere - MONEY!! Was enough money provided by generous and caring donor(s) to get this project to a successful outcome? If you don't have a donor with a big wallet who is given good reasons to give a large portion of that wallet over to a project which he/she cares about and sees a purpose to support, there isn't a reason for that person or group to hand it over to that project.
“It’s ok if they wander bc we have a guy tracking them”- 30seconds later, cut to a lost baby & women shrieking mia gorillas’ names 🤦🏻♀️
Gorillas are intelligent.
What in the world could’ve happened to that little baby so quickly?
I’m assuming she sat the baby down and then couldn’t find it in the vegetation :/. There were a few scenes where the baby was on its own nearby.
Super jeune c'est très origial
Laissons leur le territoire respectons leur territoire
How many languages do they understand? They are not only beautiful but very intelligent. My dream is to meet one. Im 70 and havee never seen one.

Teaching the Gorillaz French 😢 how sad 👹
For all that the scumbags killing and stealing babies from their dead mothers, that's what you find sad? Yeah 👹😢 pretty much explains that
Wouldn't the daughter gorilla will have to be relocated so that the father will not mate with her?
I wondered about that too. In the wild when a female gorilla reaches puberty she typically starts to wander away from her family group in search of an unrelated male to mate with; it's an instinctive thing to prevent inbreeding. Young males also leave their family troops but usually at a slightly older age. In this case, if there are no other gorillas on the island, the daughter would probably be inclined to stay with her family, as they don't like to be solitary.
2:44 Aspinel family? And Aspinel ZOO? Damien, human child - gorilla?
“The family’s gotten used to the feedings, today the alpha even pretends to attack them!”
This documentary is demented
