- Here's an updated video about my automatic calf feeding system, but that's not all! The guys are building a paint booth, and getting the baler ready for summertime harvest. I am working on restocking my pantry with homemade bone broth!
Thanks for stopping in and we hope and pray that you have a very blessed day!

Nice one guys
You guys are a really nice family, every body gets along quite well and are a pleasure to watch. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Good to see you!!!!! Cold and snow here in Rhinelander, WI.
Thanks for showing us how the Calf Feeder works but I Loved ❤ the part of the video where you went to Move the Thirsty 🐄 and Adorable Calves. 👍🙏
You're such a good mother all the way around kids and animals.
Thanks! 😊
@@acresofclayhomestead you're very welcome 🤗
The new shop is great. Your sons are great kids.
The new floor looks great.
Thanks!
Thank you Rhonda for explaining the cow tags and RFID system. The Iowa dairy Farmer has a different system but uses the same tag idea with the RFID
Great video.... I'm happy you went into detail about the calves and automatic feeder system.
The beef broth looked great and will show my wife that portion of the video.
Great content Rhonda! Thank you all !!! Be careful and God bless !!! Eddy
Thanks for watching, Eddy!
Didn't know there was a self feeder for the calves. Thanks for telling us about it.
It's good to see the those cute little calves, always a pleasure. Your flooring looks good, I like the looks of it, ours is close to the same color, a little different type though. I hope y'all have a great week!
Thanks!
Looks like the guys are enjoying the clean floor :)
Great video, good time for maintaining machines, new workshop is brilliant.
Your floor looks great
Thank you!
Your new floors look great.
Thank you!
Another very interesting video Thank you and God bless you and your family
Another great video
Very nice floor👍
Wow. Looks great. I always felt bad working in that old shed
Nice video. Suggestion: You might look at those seals around the oven for leaking.
E bello vedere dei fratelli che vanno d'accordo complimenti della azienda 😊
I bet you're glad you built the shop
Great family, !!!busy, family,!!!!
The guys look like they're really enjoying the spaciousness of the new shop. Do Daisy and Mabel get the bones from the broth? Have a blessed week, stay safe and warm.
The bones go in my compost pile, so there's a good possibility.
It's called Auto lube. A friend makes them and fits them. Mainly to trucks and buses.
Another good video thank you
Love the flooring:)
Thanks!
Really enjoyed your video
great video
I wish you went into more detail on the calf feeder. That looks very interesting.
Another time...
Great video
Very nice farm
Nice floor/island for AOC family and kitchen studio! So glad to see the shop force getting winter work done and not venting "steamy breath"! The baby moo moos are lookin' great Ronda!
Thank y'all for 🐄🐄🐄💩🐄🐄💩🐄🐄dairy 🍶🍼🍦🧈🧀🍮🍨farming, fixin' and feedin' 🇺🇸 !!
Hello Ronda and to all the Family! You provide some of most enjoyable and interesting videos that I follow; plus, everyone in the family is very knowledgeable and talented for all the projects y’all accomplish!! Have the guys tried using Headlamps with multiple beam settings instead of flashlights? Frees up both hands for working with different light beam settings. Your Family is the true inspiration for everyone to follow! Thanks from here in Texas!!
THANKS!
That’s right you now what the COWS ate never now what went into them when you buy it from the store ❤
Kevin and the boys, sure can make a lot of background noise when you are filming. You need to have a sign that reads "Quiet on the set"!!! (Ha!Ha!) I bet my parents wished they could have had RFID tags for me and my brothers, so we didn't eat so much. Calves are little cuties as always. You have enough calves to have a "Calf Bowl" like they have Cat and Dog Bowls on TV.
😅😅
That beef & bone broth is VERY nutritious! Very nice explanation of the calf numbering and auto feeder programming. WOW , the shop is looking REALLY nice inside.
What is the wooden sub structure going to be used for ??
Pretty sure Ronda mentioned that it was structure for plastic sheeting to be utilized as a temporary paint "booth"! I know of a railroad car which was painted with a near similar setup.
Yup, the guys are making a paint booth.
My guess was Kevin was taking up pole vaulting or they were giant hurdles. 😂
😅
👍
Pretty cool feeders! Jw, do you recycle the RFID tags, or just keep them for when you cull the cow and snap it in her when she is leaving? I'm sorta familiar with the system, so when you assign a tag to an animal, it's supposed to be it's # until death do it part.(😂). I totally understand that they don't stay in the ears very well!👍👍
Once the calf is weaned off the feeder, I remove the RFID tag and reuse it on new calves.
Morning family, just saying hey and hoping everyone is doing great. Have yall seen those portable paint booths, well they might not be big enough ❤
Ronda. I just love the looks of the floor it reminds me of an old Farmhouse flooring 😊
And I was wondering if Kevin ever gave thought to looking for a Portable Step ladder with a small platform on the top so that you can roll it to where you need it in the shop and be safer that a regular ladder I would hate to see any of your family get hurt falling off a ladder😊
Hmm, we've never looked into a ladder like that. Good idea, though.
Could you use a frame attached to the side wall that folds down with roll up curtains like the one used on the barn?
Good idea!
Go with Husky flashlight from Home Depot uses 3 AA batteries with a lifetime warranty, tough and reliable,I have 2 and I’m not a commercial
👋😊
Rhonda -- Very good video. Very interesting. Genius how you use the bottle to lead the calves. BTW, what are the ages of your children (name & age please)?
Sydney 25
Ethan 24 (birthday today)
Mackenzie 22
Sanders almost 17
Temporary paint booth is a good idea. Flashlights are important. Some are too bright.
Loved the videos, why did they not put the paint booth in the old shop?
No heat there....?!?
Yup, no heat.
👋
I have that same Pressure Canner. The directions that came with it said to wipe the gasket on the lid with light coating of oil to prevent gasket sticking when removing the lid after the time is up. Do you do that?
When I first got the canner, I did that, but I didn't see the need, and now it's been years since I've oiled the lid. Works just fine. :)
Sooo... Kevin is a project 😂
❤
How is the nipple sanitized between each calf?
Do you have a hoof trimmer come in if you have lame cattle?
Kevin does it all.
🙂⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌞👍
Try the Head flashlights. Straps on your forehead and around back, You can position light in a few angles. I use it to fix things on my truck at night, change a flat at night. Hands free, not expensive. Buy extra's to have on hand to help at night. Walking in areas on your farm that has no light shining, it will come in hand to see where you are walking and not trip on something. Safety is # 1 to protect your family. Table saw tip USE PUSH STICK OF SOME SORT, somebody I know lost his hand due to not using push stick or something. Split second too late. In Louisiana, due to the oil field, Marine paint is used a lot. More expensive, but holds up a little longer.
I use a light like that at night. But the boys like the flashlight for shining in tight areas.
What does the TOP Step say?
Likely notated..."NOT A STEP"...just sayin'....
@@trwaintime That just means there are no more steps! 😁
Ronda. I just noticed you have two bruises on your knuckles of your left hand. I hope it wasn’t anything serious it seem whenever I get a bruise I always seem to hit it all the while it’s healing 😢
Actually, a piece of steel fell on my hand, making 2 cuts. The cuts are in a bad spot because I keep hitting them on things. 🥴
@ I know how that feels everytime I get an injury minor as it is I always seem to hit it 😢
Maybe if he would take that hoodie down he could see what he was doing, just don't understand how people wear those and try to get things done when you can't see around you!
With all due respect, I know YOUz don't watch the news, but update ya world maps. The former Gulf of Mexico is now called the Gulf of America.
hello beautiful and very good family, you are all truly good congratulations and GOD, BLESS YOU ALL I BET YOU NEVER GO TO CHURCH TRUE I WILL REMEMBER YOU IN MY PRAYERS HELLO EVERYONE KISS KISS
We do go to church, and we believe that it's important to be involved and serve in the local church. So, every family member serves in different parts every week, without fail. :)
@ congratulescion,,,,,,,
How long does it take to train a calf to automatic drinking?
They usually catch on within a few feedings.
The new floor looks great
Great video
