Lewis is by far one of the best characters on this show, I remember loving him so much as a kid and I still love him now
He remains a legend throughout almost the whole show. Sometimes he makes bad choices but most of the time he's a total homie.

The least realistic thing about this show isn’t the mermaids. It’s the idea that Cleo wouldn’t be popular at school. I mean, have you seen her??? And Emma & Rikki too. If those three were friends at any real high school, they’d be at the top, easy
I remember at my school there were superficial kids who cared about tops and bottoms and the rest and somehow the hottest girls where in the second group, the first one were people with issues.
I’m guessing the only reason Cleo isn’t popular is because she’s shy and introverted, usually the popular kids tend to be more outgoing. And rikki is more of a tomboy which didn’t really fit with the “aesthetics” of the popular girls during that time period. Emma isn’t necessarily unpopular, she’s well liked and has a lot of friends, like the girls in the slumber party episode.
@@tarak9979 My little sister is pretty much a real life Emma. She is a athletic social butterfly who is well liked by everyone but isn’t necessarily popular. At home we always teased her about being popular ever since she was little though. She knows better then to stoop down low to the mean girls.
@@psychedelicpayroll5412 I mean ya, what I meant was Emma isn’t stereotypically popular like Miriam, but shes still friendly with everyone and has a good reputation. A lot of people know her and even the mean ones like Miriam and Zane seem to respect her more than the other girls.
I remember the popular kids were rich and from good families, conventionally pretty, or percepted as such for some reason, fashionably dressed, performed with dancing, singing. Or bullies. Or those dating from early age. Or mixed in our white school, pervieced as hot. Typically a mix of a few those factors for one 'popular' person

Looking back it’s kind of sad to see how Rikki was always the one to love being a mermaid the most and was proud to be one. Even in mako she was the one who stuck around while the others ended up leaving. Shame she seemed to be the one left behind while the others probably tried forgetting what they were.
Ik I hated that they drifted apart but I like to believe they kept in touch.
Kinda hard to forget you have a tail when everytime they touch water they grow one.
I heard there is going to be a season 5 of mako mermaids. I hope that Rikki comes back 😊 And that she brings Emma and Cleo. It might happen because in the last episode she that that she has friends who she would like to bring
