If they were going to charge me $1000 to clean the truck regardless of how clean I kept it I would trash it. I made them earn their money. I probably even take a shit in the sleeper for good measure.
I think the variable truck payment is actually a great idea. That way if you want to go home you're still not being charged the full rate for the truck and also if your dispatcher isn't keeping you rolling and you're not making money then you don't have to pay a high fixed rate. I just think the rate needs to be a lot lower.
I tried everything you went through, I did all of that years ago and realized trucking is a scam. Its good watching all your videos, brings back memories to all the BULLSHIT I did.
37 years as an owner operator, but if i was just starting out i'd find a company that owned the product in the trailer and work for them if possible. Otherwise find a small fleet . lease purchase is the absolute worst way to buy a truck, you're basically a company driver without any of the benefits .
When are you guys gonna learn that you are not an owner operator. You are a company driver who is misclassified so they don’t have to pay a lot of taxes and Workmen’s Compensation. You don’t owe the truck you have no staking. You’re basically buying yourself a job. Do not lease trucks. Become a company driver. Do you wanna lease the truck you lease it independently from some company like rider or one of those others that you freelanced to contract onto a carrier and not be a slave to their Dispatch, truck usage, and everything else that they would do to consider you what you are, that is an employee!
Sorry you had a bad experience. I paid the truck off here at wfx. I new it would be a high mileage truck when done. So I saved the whole 4 years it took me.
Do you think a driver with zero bills outside of a cellphone could make the lease purchase work? Also, not going to new york? No rent, no car, no wife, just trucking?
WFX is a company driver position regardless if you lease. You do it their way or you will sit and quit. Leasing is a profit for them. They win you lose.
I used to work for Western Flyer Express and he is right it is very hard to get ahold of payroll Mi driver manager got fired because she asked for a payroll raise and she was there for five years and I guess Randy fired her also I was told by a couple dot officers that I know personally that FMCSA is going after lease purchase companies for screwing drivers over why do you think John Christner got bought out
@@cainlaughlin2976yes right now I apparently FMCSA is trying to get rid of all these lease purchase companies because they won't show anybody the rate cons plus there's some other stuff going on
I bet they kept your lady check too. They are ripoffs & that lease is crooked. that’s why they’ve been sued half and dozen times and filed bankruptcy to avoid a couple of them.
Use it as a lesson. Do you really think these broke drivers show up with lint in their pocket and the next day all of a sudden your a business owner? Go be company get consistent money and when your ready go buy a truck yourself. Good luck.
You should have seen the worst of the worst with tribe express, Is cherokee national,, There was a truck five times worse than that given to a young beginner driver of two years experience that had to recover a truck we all did,, You need to track how that truck was like that when you got it.What did they DO 2 the driver to leave? It in that kind of condition for you to personally clean out that truck. And did they pay you for cleaning that truck out which they probably didn't
I just left Cherokee National/tribe. Their lease is trash! $1173 for a 2023 T-680 and when you are negative for the week, they don’t pay shit! Nothing, until your settlement can cover the negative. So you just keep digging a deeper hole! I was out for 5 weeks without a check! Then the truck broke down.
With all do respect, you have no idea what you're talking about. You're paying. 30cpm a Mile and $308 a week for that truck payment alone. That's $1058 a week on 2500 miles a week. If you buy a brand new truck with zero down at 48 months at a 10% That truck will be a $4000 month truck. And that's before any sales taxes and other silly fees dealers like to apply. WFX was giving you a fair deal.

I don’t know if you find it funny or honorable but thanks.

So out of Freymilller , bay&bay, wfx which of this companies would you recommend better?
@@victormontoya422 freymiller and wfx are almost equally the same. But I’d still say freymiller is just a bit better than wfx.
@@trucker_rob thx.

I’m shocked there still in business and not behind bars. Glad you got out of there.

Rookies shouldn’t lease.

It’s exactly like you said.
Predatory leasing , wach out for those companies out there.
Variable + $300 dllrs that's too much for a high mileage truck.

DAMN SHAME ITS SO SAD💯💯
There being sued by 600 drivers currently and you still went there to work
A lot of companies are being sued. Prime inc. , Steven’s transport, swift, knight, jb hunt… name one company not being sued.
Tha variable deduction it's scam.
All them company's are crooks
I was out for 2 months i had to get home they canceled my contract because i went home
Man they don’t understand when a driver puts in home time it’s not an option to miss, you did what you had to do and you did right.
@@trucker_rob thanks ... yes sir
Wfx trys to be so controlling they're a very bad company
damn you gonna run out of companies my guy
Maybe so 🤔 or maybe one I’ll just get out of trucking all together.
Lease is a scam you should know that rookie
Leasing a New Truck will damage a person’s bank account find a older truck and pay yourself 🫡🍻🚛🚛
That’s the plan man, I haven’t quit trucking.
You better have at least $20k saved up after you buy that older truck, or you'll go bankrupt real quick
