Faster-than-light, always

Wonder Cabinet and Radio Alhara present an original sound and dance performance. The piece speaks to the aesthetics of the Cremisan Valley, and the way the occupation forces have been using the last green space around Bethlehem to further suffocate its community. The performance uses the body as a medium for claiming the land, celebrating its ample and smooth curves, its terraces and the bearing trees it cradles.
The film was made for a hybrid performance putting in dialogue the dancers and the sound artists both in the valley and at the V&A. Studio Collective and Raymond Haddad in Palestine, Jana Saleh and Sasha Shedid in London who performed live together with the film on 22 March, 2024 at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
