A great show. I worked on Home improvement for 6 years never a dull movement one big happy family. We the lighting crew won 5 Emmys in 6 years. Really miss the show
It's funny that simply bringing your smart phone or laptop nowadays with you replaces the need for the landline, jukebox, hot rod magazines and TV. I regularly bring either/or to the John with me so I don't miss a second of the big game.
I'm trying to imagine the challenge, the fun, the skill and the time it must have involved and taken for the crew(s) to make those sets. I've no idea if the remote control was genuinely operating all the gizmos, but if so, the designer/engineer was a genius. And that was almost 30 years ago!
Remote didn't work. They had crew behind the bathroom miniset flipping switches on que. Still though, would have been cool if they could pull that off.
There was so many moments on Home Improvement that made us think, "That would be cool", but the best thing Tim ever built on the show was his hotrod. Whats even better, he worked on it with his family. For us car guys, that is our 'family time'. When my family went to Disney World, me and my dad got to take a picture in front of that bright blue Ford.
+Bad Drivers of Moose Jaw Hmmm i dont know about that... I dont see a 4 roll toilet paper dispenser...Also i dont see any spot designated for a GUN...And pissibly the worst thing of all, Tim instaled a sink..A real mans bathroom dosnt need a sink..lol whats next a bottle of vinegar...

He made that mistake in The Man's Gym. "You got sweat over right here (sprays under his arms), and cold beer over here (sprays in his mouth), no *that* would be the sweat".
lol this scene is pretty epic. Home Improvement rocks, lol. I wish I could remember when this show was a huge hit on ABC back in the day, I was 4 1/2 when this episode aired in late 93. But I remember when The Santa Clause and of course Toy Story came out. I cracked up laughing at when Tim accidentally sprayed soap in his mouth instead of mouthwash. XD
Al What the 1st Thing you do when you get up I said to my self you boy another wonderful day working side by side next to Tim Whats the 2nd thing you do Al I Consider Calling in Sick
You know how sometimes you hear or read about people recreating their favorite sets for their own homes? I wonder if anyone ever tried to implement one of these concept rooms from Home Improvement.
The Man's Kitchen The Man's Bedroom The Man's Gym I know there was another one but I can't remember. All I know is when I watched this when I was a kid, I wanted the bathroom and bedroom.
I'm a mixture of the two, I love to fish, i love cars and i love hockey and i love to dress up at times, makeup chick flicks i'm a combination of the two.

Thats awesome. I worked with a guy that was an electrician on a set of a TV show a few years ago and he hated it.
Still love this show so much
Thanks for your work man. This show helps me
I could watch this show all the time
Nice job you had! We loved this show here in Germany too! Good old times.. 👍👏
I love how at the start Al has his usual skepticism that he does with most of Tim/Binford's gimmicks, but by the end he is 100% on board!
At least 20 years later, and I'd *still* kill for a bathroom like that.
You and me both brother
Maybe you, but not me. Whenever I’m on the throne, I’d like to concentrate on my “business”, and not be distracted by food or TV.
No joke right
MichaelD8393 Technology ahead of its time!
@@koryclarke1991 and pretty simple in design. go figure
23 years after the show ended, I'm still waiting to see the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and gym inside of the Binford 6100 Man-sion.
they had some .. ehh .. technical difficulties putting the bar-bell in..
For 'tool time' being a small scale local show they have one hell of a budget
That was a plot point once; Tim blew through 4 months' budget with the Man's Kitchen.
@pete Anonymous The show also stated that Bigford was a nationwide company. 54th? Or 4rh?
@@themacocko6311 4th, and it's Binford course lol.
I always assumed that there were multiple local shows sponsored by Binford and Tool Time was just one of them.
Sometimes, the bit is worth a little suspension of disbelief
ah back when TV had good shows
And not with political nonsense or racist/sexist hiring by skin and sex
Tim: what's the second thing you do Al?
Al: I consider calling in sick.
And to think Al was only meant to be a stand in for the pilot.
Love these guys
Tim is far more intelligent than people give him credit for, since he's frequently able to come up with and design things like this.
I wouldn't say intelligent, that's teh wrong word, more like : Ressourceful... but a fridge in a bathroom, lol wut?
Ahh the pinnacle of 90s technology. The CRT television.
Funny how CRT television's never seemed to bother us when we were growing up..
@@RDSports5 I still have one for my older game consoles and my older movies. Watching old horror movies all crisp and clear isn't natural.
@@Deadpool_64 True. Or nearly as scary, hehe
My uncle had a Sony Trinitron from 1995 that finally burned a bulb out about a year ago. CRT Tvs were awesome!!!
I love Al's reaction when he opens the fridge. He nods like, "nice."
Al: BREWSKI?
Tim: YOU BET, BUDDY.

Yep the comfortable way of unwinding after a big feed
But you won’t be able to recline if you have the seat up

Well that is a creative name.
The slogan for this bathroom is "why would you ever leave"
This was my favorite episode of Tool Time ever!!! Home Improvement was such a good show!

Beach boys was great too
Mine too. I also like when he redid Jill's closet.

that part always kills me. Maybe next time Tim should put a color label on them so he doesn't confuse the two again.

I'm a woman but I SOOOOOOOO want a bathroom like this....all stainless, easy to keep clean and looks amazing. Only thing I would change is the toilet.
BullingThunder what about the brightness of the headlights? you want to be blinded?
Kameron Donaldson Who says we can't put a dimmer on them? LMAO
in my book that would qualify as a "change"...
BullingThunder that toilet is awesome. lol
Matt Beeman The toilet seat was clearly not stainless steel as well.
That recliner probably isn't so comfy when you lift the seat.
1:18 he does that joke in almost every man's room bit. You'd think he'd learn to label those things after a while.
If Tool Time was around today, it'd totally be a popular UA-cam channel.
I just bought the DVDs. I still love this show.

Someone needs to make all these rooms that home improvement did a reality
Man's Mansion?
Ahh these where the days
2016 wouldn't have let the whole Man's -insert room here- slide.
Unfortunately true.
Neither would 2020
2022 would be a complete riot against everything and anything man related.
This was one of my favorite episodes.
HOW IS THIS NOT STANDARD BUILDING CODE IN 2019???
Probably costs too much to do that
That's a good question
the toilet seat would be digging into your back if you were actually using it. I love the show though haha
This show was so hilarious!!!!! Love it!
The toilet seat lid won't stay up given the padded back rest
My mom's favorite part of the Man's Bathroom is the Lazy Bowl reclining toilet.

2020 either ! 😃
Not in 2022 either.

I thought this was the best "Man's" design in the show's history. Awesome stuff.
The Bathroom of your Manly Dreams

These mans rooms were the best part of home improvement
I'd like to see Al Bundy review this bathroom.
Raise your hand if you knew immediately that it was a can of Strohs. Ahhhh the 90s, back before cheap beer was the domain of hipsters.
I figured that hipsters drank lame crap like wine coolers. Then again, what do I know 🤔.
Take all of Tim's "Man's" rooms and you could build a big house and call it the Man-sion.
Work a game system in there and I'm set for life!
I want that toilet!

I just watched it this morning, ROLF! If only it had a laptop recharge station...
