Isn't it weird? What's going on there? Is there a battle for eyes going on between Google and Facebook? It seems deliberate the way the Android app has been hobbled. There's so little reference to it online too.

Good stuff, I tried locking phone orientation in iphone settings, but FB don't care about that... that said... you need to turn that off before your fix. iPhone Orientation lock needs to be off before you flip FB orientation. I had an epic sunset live that was sideways...
Thanks for the video. It's remarkable how little information there is about the severely hobbled Android Facebook app and how you CAN'T flip the video. In other words, any presenttion you might make that has text (for example) will be flipped and unreadable. I'm baffled by how it seems to be too unimportant to be covered (not by you -if you use an Apple device, you're blessed with an app that works properly). I'm just wondering why that should be? When using a newer Android phone, in landscape mode, the resolution in Facebook Live always fills out the whole screen, causing the resolution to be a weird 968 x 480. Anyone find a way around this at all?
could you help about using a mobile phone instead? it dosnt give the option to horizontal broadcasting but vertical. It shows the image straight, but vertical. In ur case it was different

Is it possible to do a Facebook live with two cameras using your iPhone and iPad? This would be helpful for cooking demos with one pointed at the table and one at my face.
I have a Samsung Galaxy J7 Crown and the hammer/screwdriver icon does not appear, but apparently no additional settings need to be made, since it worked; however, I first had to go into my phone settings and turn on "auto-rotate" (which I normally keep off). If auto-rotate is off, you can rotate the phone to landscape while in the FaceBook Live mode (before hitting the Go Live button), but what actually broadcasts is not the same. Turning auto-rotate "on", fixes the issue.

@@mattliffreing4378 Nope.However ,I just did a FB boradacast & when I clicked on the video button & my video screen showed up,I was able to rotate it! I posted on the Apple site & waiting for the answer.I found a work around though,& went to FB via safari on the phone & was able to rotate.So the hitches are only in the App.But the safari way has some other issues although it can rotate.
I discovered fb does not have the ability to correct a posted video. You need to copy the video upload it to your pc...correct the orientation, save that new video and re-post it.

I think thats not the key.. you should just turn on your auto rotate screen icon when doing live. Because when I did that my screen is still on sideways but when i turn on my auto rotate screen it went all the icons down. I’ve been also struggling with this but thanks for the video.

In iPhone/iPad check out that in settings the orientation lock is not on. Otherwise you can’t rotate to landscape mode.

you just have to turn off the portrait mode of your phone (make it landscape) before you go live, then it will matically adjust.
