Get ideas! I do most. We bought a Berkey Water System over a year ago. It was expensive initially but has saved us so much money. We also put our Keurig away and now use a percolator. This has been huge in saving us money. Plus unlike the Keurig I can take it apart to clean it. As far as handbags, I get sick when I think of the $$$ I spent on handbags. I sold them on EBay and I carry one from TJ Maxx that cost $12. I get so many compliments on it. Thanks for all you great videos!!!!!! ❤️
I so have my eye on a Berky. I saw a person use the filter and make his own with 2 stainless steel stock pots. I want to filter my rain water. My towns water is very bad.
Love your channel!!! I buy used books..cheap.. at the library. Don't read magazines anymore. Make a pot of soup with one cup of meat and lots of veggies..lasts all week!!!
As far as produce goes.... I started freezing avocados I get a good deal on a bag of them at the 99 cents store, but can't always eat them fast enough. so I scoop them out when they ripen and freeze them in little zip top bags. Just today I used one in my morning smoothie.

You are definitely doing a great job in saving in so many ways! Just found your channel and am loving your tips! I too found Dave R about a year ago and pretty much have been doing life wrong in every way 🤣🤣. Trying to fix that and getting my hubbs on board and my 4 kids. #strugglebus 🚌 lol
A few months ago I made the transition and bought two different color sets of Walmart washcloths to replace paper towels and napkins so one color is napkins and the other is for cleaning.
Staycations are my favorite!! I get to lounge around more with my kitties, visit my favorite coffee shop for some tea or hot chocolate, hang out with some friends and play cards. Being away from home totally drains me and I need a staycation just to recharge.
We got a under the sink reverse osmosis system. It makes yucky water taste incredible! We have well water but it's full of minerals. This has helped keep us from needing bottled water. We all have refillable water bottles. My in-laws live at the beach and also got an RO system. It's about 150.00 on Amazon but it will save you $$$ in the long run. I definitely recommend it.
My hubby bought me all the stuff to do my own gel and acrylics at home for Christmas and after watching lots of DIY’s on UA-cam I’m actually pretty good at it and have had friends and family ask if I can do there’s for some side $. I don’t feel good enough for all that yet but it’d be a nice side hustle down the road 🙌🏻💗 Former purse and wallet addict right here 🤦🏻♀️🤪🤣 I haven’t purchased one in over a year. It’s an odd but good feeling 🎉
GIRRRRL...start that side hustle! I just KNOW that if you just start doing it, your feelings of "don't feel good enough" yet will turn into SUPER confidence! If others are telling you how good yours are, start rockin their nails! (Only if you're interested of course!) That would be a super fun side hustle to do while you get to chat with some wonderful people:) Oh and the former purse and wallet addiction! It was BAD! LOL. Glad we are both off that habit! Thank you so much for watching and for chatting with me!!! Hope to see you again soon!
We stopped buying beef and instead we hunt. One caribou a year (we live in Alaska) acts as our red meat for the year. A hunting license is around $40 and a bullet is about fifty cents. We can also dipnet for salmon and get 35 salmon a year with a fishing license and a borrowed net. We also pick wild grown berries which save money. Blueberries, raspberries and lingonberries all grow wild in our area.
@musicmad I learned that to use glass in the freezer you must leave enough room for the contents to expand during freezing, freeze uncovered for a few hours so you can monitor the expansion with the lid on the jar without screwing it on and screw it on once the contents have expanded. It also helps to store in the refrigerator to make sure the contents are cold before you put the jar in the freezer. I currently have 3 jars of bone broth and 1 jar of homemade pink pasta sauce in the freezer without any issues. Give it a try again. I know people who exclusively freeze in glass. That is my goal but I still use freezer bags and vacuum seal bags. I'm a work in progress.
Hey, Kate! I’m partial to the name as my daughter’s name is Kate. I’m a new sub, absolutely LOVE your energy and your message. You are my spirit animal, we seriously don’t buy or do the same stuff! I need to get serious about minimalism and being even more frugal than I already am. I felt the fresh produce stuff on a spiritual level! Kaden is a cutie! P.S. I also have two cats who get into it on the regular!
I was playing around on UA-cam and stumbled across one of your videos. Instantly became hooked! So so happy to come across your videos and very excited I just had to subscribe. Really enjoying your videos THANK YOU
Totally agree on the car. I paid cash for a used Corolla with 70,000 miles. The color is not my fave but owning it outright makes me so happy! I was a single mom ( my daughter is now grown) and I salute you! It’s a hard hard job and you are doing great!
Bought a 2001 Infinity (now at 208,000) for 1800 in 2016. It still works. I've had some various work done on it but not having a car note has been a life-line to survival.
I am a vegan, so I dont buy meat, and I have yet to die from protein deficiency lol. However, when I did buy meat in my college days, I would buy 2 chicken breasts a week and that was it. I'd make it last all week. If it wasnt that then it was 1 package of ground beef or ground turkey and I'd make it last all week. I would add it to beans, rice, chili, and soups/stews.
Just found your channel today and have subbed. I am sooo with you about stopping buying all the fruits and vegetables I won't eat. Intentions don't count - and are expensive!
JP thank you SO much for watching. Yes that produce! Intentions don't count!!!!! I felt so good about buying it and then horrible when I threw it out:(
Hi Silvia! I'm so glad you're here! I'd like to ask you a few questions to clarify what the debt is for and what the interest is on it, but without knowing that, I'm a big fan of Dave Ramsey's baby steps. There are of course ways of adapting this to fit your needs, but check this out, because in general this is such a great plan. www.ramseysolutions.com/dave-ramsey-7-baby-steps?gad=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw6cKiBhD5ARIsAKXUdyY-D5cxhM_7BRfIcsqwt-0lxmtTsF0juc0nKkgKPFoL9eKtkUy67RkaAmovEALw_wcB
Agree on paper towels. Only use them for something necessary, like dog throws up on the tile or hardwood. Use them for napkins, but only use half sheet at a time. They really last a long time now😊
30/01/22 Thought I'd spend some time with you 😊 You mentioned spring clothes in this one 29/02/19 are you planning anything for spring 2022? Buns, Mr Hanum & little wee Kaden 😻
This is one of the many reasons I adore you so much!!! YES I am planning to budget for some new clothes in spring/summer for a couple reasons! Can't wait to share all this with you!
Just found your great channel! I live in Maine as well and living in Maine means frugality is a must! I have been living this way for 50 years...and we live in a small cottage that is the most economic for living on a budget. My husband and I are on a fixed income because we are retired and need to live frugal more than ever...
We like Staycations too! Do you filter the water? LOL Excessive produce is a good one!! Yesssss!! Try prepping the veggies and fruit and freeze it if you think you are not going to get through it.
Loved this video! I also drank the Dave kool-aide a few years ago, so hello from a fellow baby-stepper! I stopped buying expensive face wash. Loved Clinique liquid face soap about $20 for 7oz. I now buy a big bottle of Parents Choice soap-free, fragrance free, hypoallergenic baby wash for about $3 for 28oz. It cleans your face so well and is really gentle, and it lasts forever!
Hello Jessica!!!! Thanks for watching and hanging out here with me! YES to all of those GREAT money savers! It's so funny how we become accustomed to certain products and then realize how much it is costing us and we can do with another product that actually works very well and saves us a ton! I love these discoveries!
I just bought a car for cash. Felt amazing. Totally agree on the other items, too. No cable. No paper towels. Use cloth napkins (or stock paper ones from the rare takeout meals.) Also stopped buying canned beans. Most beans don't need to be fussed over. 3/4 cup dry beans covered with 4 inches of water in a crock pot on high turns into edible beans in a couple hours. Easy peasy. I do love carbonated beverages, so I invested in a SodaStream. It saves me some money, and I can use it with stevia flavors. (The SodaStream flavors are way too expensive. I use SweetLeaf or Sprouts stevia liquids.)
I don't like Spectrum either. I only pay for internet, don't have cable or land line, and I pay $69.95. I think it is rather pricey just for internet. Great content 😊
Kitties! Also, thanks for sharing this. We're on Baby Step 7, but I've suddenly become aware that I have no idea how to be frugal - save, yes, but not be frugal. So I expect to get a lot of value from your insights. Thanks for a sharing!
I love saving money too! I unplug my some of my appliances & such after I am done using them for the day. May be silly but I do it anyway. I make the majority of my gifts (for pennies on the dollar )& people love it. So many ways to make do!
Our frugal tips.swap group turkey for ground beef. Utilize the freezer ,and learn to properly store food.check your fridge.it may be freezing,or improperly working.same for all appliances.eat leftovers.this was a huge issue with my husband.he expected a fresh meal,3 times a day,and toss leftovers
I still use paper towels to wipe out pots and pans that have grease or small grit in them. As I don't have a garburator it prevents grease and debris going down the drain and clogging the sink. Firestick is great -- saved a lot for my niece to give up cable. I still like meat, but eat 1/2 portions now. I only buy books now as gifts -- books and magazines are free online. Most of my clothing comes from thrift shops except socks and underwear and shoes. You can have mini vacations around home -- day trips, picnics, local museums and galleries. I am not a water drinker, but dilute apple or other juice to drink, or milk or coffee. Of course no plastic bottles of water! For eating out a lunch date is cheaper than dinner and avoid ordering alcohol. Jewelry is cheap at thrift shops or church Xmas bazaars. I grocery shop 2 or 3 times a week, buy what's on sale and plan my menus around that -- don't waste food anymore. For snacking at home I eat nuts rather than chips or desserts. Crackers and cheese in the evening is a good snack too.
New subscriber, im enjoying your videos and frugal tips very much. Ive kind of stopped using a bag altogether wen shopping. I use my phone, cards and keys in my pocket. I do keep stuff in my car, like glasses, and stuff for my 4 year old. I have a backpack and will bring it out of the car if we are planning on eating lunch at the park or going to the library. I love the challenge of living without things.
I just watched an old Doris Day flick from the 1960's...and she had a different bag to go with each outfit she wore....I remember how important that was to me back in the 60's and 70's...now I just use ONE...and that one from Good Will...about $3 with the senior discount! :-)
Oh I love this comment! That's so true! Not anymore, right? LOL! $3 with the Senior Discount!? YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!! That's awesome! Thanks for watching Lynn! Hope to see you again soon.
Lentils are great for protein! Lots of rice and lentils in my house :) I hate picking meat off carcasses too 😖 Could easily be full veg if not for the hubby.
@@KateKaden I am sure that you are my DEBT FREE TWIN....EVERYTHING that you said ,I agree....and by the way,I am nearly debt free and the feeling is good!!!!!
I actually watched this while getting ready for work this morning and didn't have time to comment. On lunch break now 😂 Love this! Yes please on the video on how you dropped the 20k in the dealers' face 😂. You had me laughing through this video especially right before the coffee. One thing you might want to get for Kaden is an artists eraser I think it's also called moldable eraser. That thing is great, reusable and doesn't leave those little pink bits! So we've stopped buying erasers because of that. My son has had his for a couple of years now and it's still going strong. One of his teachers suggested it. She's had hers for over a decade. Great video! 😃
Thank you so much!!!! Yes I will definitely get on the 20K video! (and I love the "how I dropped it in the dealer's face visual!) hahahah Oh and an artists eraser! Cool, I will take a look at that!
I did away with paper products as much as possible. So much easier to toss clothes in the washer and doesn't cost any extra to wash clothes. I purchase lemons and make lemonade so my grandson can have a treat, not just me. It is me and my grandson. In addition, I keep all plastic bags (bread, sandwich, etc.) I package all my freezer stuff into them so i dont purchase extra bags. We plan to eat out once a month, usually it is a pizza or subs. i budget and meal plan. I also did away with cable. I use hulu 5.99 per month so we can watch shows if we want. i never throw away any produce, i work it into a recipe. I made banana bread with really ripe bananas. That is our deserts!
Hey just in case you didn't know, the Dollar Tree gets tons of hard back books that are often times from the New York Best Sellers List. They get a lot of children's books for Kaden & they often get recipe books. So if you're in the mood to splurge try Dollar Tree's book section. Also in case you didn't know they have cards.. Birthday etc 2 for $1. ❤
I like to buy the rotissary chicken and sausage will get instant gumbo mix 30 min excellent meal I get to enjoy 5 meals that way. Freezer meals not so bad the can goods are the most sodium because the process of canning uses salt to reach lower boiling point.
I love your videos ! Keep them coming ! You give me motivation to follow my budget and continue to strive for the minimalist lifestyle that makes sense to me. Hope to see another new video from you soon!
Hi Simple's Good! Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment! I have posted Part 1! Please check it out when you get a chance. I talk about how I spent less. Planning to do a Part 2 to explain how I increased my income also:)
Hi Kate, I love your videos. I think we are 'fugal twins'. I love my minimal spending life. There are certain things I DO spend money on like a decent haircut and proper quality shoes, yoga and salsa which I use and love.
I used to buy a lot of magazines too but not anymore. I am a book lover but try to stick to getting them places on the cheap like at flea markets and library book sales. And then I pass them on when I'm done. And 99% of the time I wait for the movies I want to see to be at the library and rent them for free.
Hi there, I am new to your videos and so far you are so spot on with tips I need to hear from you, cause I need to save, save and save. Keep up the good work!!!
Katherine! (Love your name by the way, that's my full name!) I'm so glad you are here and that you are finding my videos useful. Hope to see you again super soon!
I bought a 2001 grand Marquis 134K miles $1,900 all papers in order oil was changed every 1,200 miles. I drive so little I just filled up for last month and 9.25 gallon was the last months fuel use.
Meat and dairy products not only eat a big chunk of your budget- they also contributes to illnesses, thus lost work and sick days for you beautiful son!. I gave up meat and I am rarely if ever sick! My husband is a meat eater and had the flu for two weeks. I nursed him and never got it. My immune system works! Check your CRP at your next blood test. It is a measure of immune function. I am one of many healthier vegans and I’m saving money, too. You are so practical and logical about your spending, but this one is going to give your budge a huge boost directly and indirectly. .
Thanks for sharing your tips. I stumbled on to Dave Ramsey a few months ago. I'm working on my baby steps. I feel like I made a few mistakes after I found his channel. I had planned a vacation, but I'm going to have to save up for it now. No more spending. Oh the paper towels! I definitely need to cut back!
I have mixed feelings about the car payment. I am opposed to leasing because the car is never yours and you are paying forever, however if you buy a car for 20,000 and finance it with a Zero interest loan over 5 years you will pay the same 20,000 at the end. If you pay for it in cash you will not have the cash to invest or earn interest. Your thoughts?
I'm with you, I don't buy or spend on alot of the same things you don't. going to the theater is crazy expensive, nail salon- forget it. purses and shoes nope.
We have greatly cut back on vacations and eating ou,-eating out is so expensive, for what 1 dinner out costs I can feed my family several meals; the car situation has kind of got me stumped, our car is a 2002 Olds, 178K miles, several things wrong with it, we have looked some, but not sure what to do next, wish my car would last a couple more yrs, doubtful.
I drive a 98 Nissan maxima almost 280,000 miles and going strong. I thank God daily as the car is good for me and I don't eat out, way too expensive. It's tough out here when you aren't rich. Just adding my 2 cents.
Here's a great paper towel hack: use large coffee filters! They actually are much stronger( you can reuse if you want to wash in washer)and don't leave lint. Another idea which is popular here in Ca: start a "Little Library". People put some kind of house in a pole on the street for you to drop in books you are finished with and take any that interest. Everything free! A wonderful way to move books around and also great for the children's books whic kids outgrow so quickly.
Everyone talks about ditching cable for streaming. Nobody mentions a tv antenna though. You can buy one very cheap or make one for nothing. I get my local news through antenna and steam everything else.
@@KateKaden I really enjoy the news everyday at 6. The antenna made it very simple to switch from cable. It's great having a few channels to just flip between sometimes.
I cook my own freezer meals. Every time I cook I make sure I cook an extra portion: if my husband and me are two people, I cook for three. And that extra portion goes into a tupperware and into the freezer. So every time I feel like not cooking (or not getting my kitchen dirty) I just take something from the freezer and ta-daaa! Homemade food ready to go
I just giggled! I've been hearing that since I was in college. I definitely take that as a compliment. Love her! (Used to be a huge King of Queens of fan!) lol. Thanks for watching Carolyn! HAPPY FRIDAY!
You should get the overdrive app which you use to borrow ebooks and audiobooks from your library. Also there is the Kanopy app which is also in conjunction with your library and is for documentaries , classic and indie films. Both are free and you won't spend gas going to the library.
Yay for the library. Does your library have a service like audible? Also, they could have programs for Kaden on the weekend. They also could have a movie “rental” from their website for a bit of extra variety.
I agree with you on the internet thing. I have the triple play right now tv, internet and phone. I don't use the phone and hardly watch the tv enough for it to be worth it so I asked what just the internet would cost by itself and it was only like $2.00 less so I just stayed with what I have for now.
I buy a lot of clothes from op-shops so they cost no more than $5 an item. I bought a brand new pair of long trousers a few months ago that should have been $49.99 but I paid $5 for them.
I try not to buy any type of box foods. I found the salt content is too high everytime my feet swell and my hands swell and I wake up the next day with a splitting headache
Just happened on your channel and I agree with all 20. We still buy paper towels but for everyday messes we use white Terry shop cloths. They go in the washer and when they are past their prime, my husband gets those for the garage. The vegetables are a moving Target...great intentions on the grocery store but still go uneaten. No more. Thanks again for putting this together. Would love to hear how the car got paid off.🤔
I have been a vegetarian since 1991. And eat very little dairy. My garden is huge 🤑 Discover books- used books for cheap. And overdrive to download books.
New Subbie!!! Woo Hoo!! Congrats on your paid off car! Yessss those paper products add up! Why in the heck are they so expensive??? OMG!!! what a cutie!! My baby will be 6 in September.

I get all my purses at either Goodwill or thrift stores. I quit using over the shoulder bag because it causes rotator cuff issues in women. I switched to crossbody which are easily found at thrift stores.

OOOHHH, great idea! Thank you! And thank you for watching today!!!! Hope to see you again soon!
Thank you dearly
Kate Kaden Thank you for the encouragement 💋
We stopped buying beef and instead we hunt. One caribou a year (we live in Alaska) acts as our red meat for the year. A hunting license is around $40 and a bullet is about fifty cents. We can also dipnet for salmon and get 35 salmon a year with a fishing license and a borrowed net. We also pick wild grown berries which save money. Blueberries, raspberries and lingonberries all grow wild in our area.
Thank you for sharing with us Alexis and thank you for watching!
I stopped buying storage containers. I use glass jars that I'm already paying for when I buy sauces, coffee etc.
LEIGH! I ADORE YOU ALREADY!!!!!! I am SO SO GLAD YOU ARE HERE! And you have the best taste in naming children! :) :) :) :) :)
Great video. You should include a list in the description!
Thank you AussieMoneyMan for watching and yes, that is a great suggestion! Thank you again!
I was playing around on UA-cam and stumbled across one of your videos. Instantly became hooked! So so happy to come across your videos and very excited I just had to subscribe. Really enjoying your videos THANK YOU
Brandon! Welcome to the family! I’m so glad you’re here!
Totally agree on the car. I paid cash for a used Corolla with 70,000 miles. The color is not my fave but owning it outright makes me so happy!
I was a single mom ( my daughter is now grown) and I salute you! It’s a hard hard job and you are doing great!
Thank you SO much Carol!
For a Toyota, 70,000 miles not even broken in yet.
@@stevefrench5668 LOVE Toyota!
You are my Woman!!! I do the same things, but I don’t have a car, witch saves me all car related stuff!!! 💗👍💰😎
MONICA!!!! THANK YOU!!!! So so glad you are here!!!!!! Hope to see you again Friday!
Just found your channel not that long ago, and I love your videos! So excited to start the no spenduary!
KATE!!! Thank you! I'm so glad you are here!
Bought a 2001 Infinity (now at 208,000) for 1800 in 2016. It still works. I've had some various work done on it but not having a car note has been a life-line to survival.
We go to the movies once a year we go on Christmas day every year now and we enjoy it so much
I love special family traditions!!!!
Thank you so much for watching and sharing with us!!! Loved reading your comment!
Just found your channel today and have subbed. I am sooo with you about stopping buying all the fruits and vegetables I won't eat. Intentions don't count - and are expensive!
JP thank you SO much for watching. Yes that produce! Intentions don't count!!!!! I felt so good about buying it and then horrible when I threw it out:(
Hello, katy kaden.
Started following your videos. U R GRRRREAT.
I have a big debt . Should I pay all my debt first & then
save?

Awesome thanks Kate
You're so welcome!
Agree on paper towels. Only use them for something necessary, like dog throws up on the tile or hardwood. Use them for napkins, but only use half sheet at a time. They really last a long time now😊
TOTALLY! Awesome! Way to go! Saves so much money!
Love love love your channel!!!!!
Thank you so much!!!
Just found your great channel! I live in Maine as well and living in Maine means frugality is a must! I have been living this way for 50 years...and we live in a small cottage that is the most economic for living on a budget. My husband and I are on a fixed income because we are retired and need to live frugal more than ever...
YAY! A Maine friend!!!! Isn't it a great place? I love it. Yes! Frugality is a must! Thanks for watching Frugal Mama! HAPPY FRIDAY!
Awww look how little Kaden was!!! ❤Gosh they grow so fast 😅
🥰🥰
We like Staycations too! Do you filter the water? LOL Excessive produce is a good one!! Yesssss!! Try prepping the veggies and fruit and freeze it if you think you are not going to get through it.
I really enjoyed this video!! Thanks so much for sharing!
Good idea! I don't use the full effects of freezing. I never have been in the habit of it, but I can do that!
Excellent suggestion!
One thing I do is keep a pot with your favorite tea ( mine is mint) near a window and you’ll have fresh tea leaves always plus it looks great!
Thank you Graca!
Kitties! Also, thanks for sharing this. We're on Baby Step 7, but I've suddenly become aware that I have no idea how to be frugal - save, yes, but not be frugal. So I expect to get a lot of value from your insights. Thanks for a sharing!
You are so welcome! BABY STEP 7!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
I love saving money too! I unplug my some of my appliances & such after I am done using them for the day. May be silly but I do it anyway. I make the majority of my gifts (for pennies on the dollar )& people love it. So many ways to make do!
Absolutely! You are so right!
Thank you for sharing with us Rochelle!!! Appreciate it! Have an awesome weekend!
Mary thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! I read every word and very much enjoyed it! Have an awesome evening! See you next time!
@@KateKaden Hi Kate....how fun to hear from you and how fun to get such a dandy comment too! I appreciate that!
@@lynnreed7342 i appreciate you right back! :) :)
Lentils are great for protein! Lots of rice and lentils in my house :) I hate picking meat off carcasses too 😖 Could easily be full veg if not for the hubby.
Good idea!!!!
The cat is awesome! Looks like my Maine Coon Baby (16 years old, still a cutie).
“I’d rather have money in the purse” - me too!
Right?? HAHAH!!!! :) :) :)

Kate Kaden k
Mmmm! Banana Bread!!! LOVE!
Any magazines I get from yard sales consignment shops or the library
Kim, I love it!
The cutest part was Kaden (of course) and I am also a July baby 💛
July babies are AWESOME!!!!!!!!! And thank you!!!
Happy birthday 🎉
Oh, yeah...got a practically new Michael Kors green leather purse for 6 bucks at local charity shop!
I agree, internet connection is overpriced and I begrudgingly fork out the money each month and hate it.
I only really use paper towels for cooking cooking to put fried food on after cooking, like bacon, crumbed chicken.
I like to buy the rotissary chicken and sausage will get instant gumbo mix 30 min excellent meal I get to enjoy 5 meals that way.
Freezer meals not so bad the can goods are the most sodium because the process of canning uses salt to reach lower boiling point.
Love rotisserie chicken!
I love your videos ! Keep them coming ! You give me motivation to follow my budget and continue to strive for the minimalist lifestyle that makes sense to me. Hope to see another new video from you soon!
YAYYYYY!!!!!! Love this comment Stephanie! I will keep em comin! HAPPY SUNDAY!

Yes, I would love to hear about all the details of how you saved for the car and paid cash. Please do a video on that! 😊
My FRUGAL TWIN!!! YASSSSS!!!!!! Love it!
You can get coffee flavour syrups to make your coffee at home more like what you get in Starbucks, I think.
Yes please on the car payoff plan
I super like it .. you are amazing ! No need to buy …
Thank you Sonia!
I would love to hear about how you saved for your car.
Here you go, my friend! ua-cam.com/video/G-5sJmff4K0/v-deo.html
I use paper towels to clean up broken glass, critter waste, or anything that will hurt my cleaning cloths.
YESSS!!!!:)
I can totally relate to buying too much produce. I need to work on that one. And the sweets...there's a concept 😊
Right? AH!!! I don't like wasting it! I'm getting better:) And the sweets! :) :)
No more paper towels, no plastic straws, bamboo toothbrush, no conditioner. Stop sniffing
I used to buy a lot of magazines too but not anymore. I am a book lover but try to stick to getting them places on the cheap like at flea markets and library book sales. And then I pass them on when I'm done. And 99% of the time I wait for the movies I want to see to be at the library and rent them for free.
YASSSS!!! Thank you Candie!
Hi there, I am new to your videos and so far you are so spot on with tips I need to hear from you, cause I need to save, save and save. Keep up the good work!!!
Katherine! (Love your name by the way, that's my full name!)
I'm so glad you are here and that you are finding my videos useful. Hope to see you again super soon!
I bought a 2001 grand Marquis 134K miles $1,900 all papers in order oil was changed every 1,200 miles. I drive so little I just filled up for last month and 9.25 gallon was the last months fuel use.
nice!
I will keep paper towels...very useful...tissue, I stopped. I use thin kitchen towels from Target. thinner than a handkerchief.
Yeah I've gotta have SOME for sure:)
You are so practical and logical about your spending, but this one is going to give your budge a huge boost directly and indirectly.
.
Thanks Sun Shine!
Way to go Lydia!!!!! Those baby steps are awesome! I'm so glad you are doing it!
Hair and crumbs is gross on floor, wipe floor with papertowels after hand use
I'm with you, I don't buy or spend on alot of the same things you don't. going to the theater is crazy expensive, nail salon- forget it. purses and shoes nope.
Yes
We have greatly cut back on vacations and eating ou,-eating out is so expensive, for what 1 dinner out costs I can feed my family several meals; the car situation has kind of got me stumped, our car is a 2002 Olds, 178K miles, several things wrong with it, we have looked some, but not sure what to do next, wish my car would last a couple more yrs, doubtful.
Buy a Toyota. Used. Cared for.
I drive a 98 Nissan maxima almost 280,000 miles and going strong. I thank God daily as the car is good for me and I don't eat out, way too expensive. It's tough out here when you aren't rich. Just adding my 2 cents.
Loving your older videos!
Thank you so much! 🙏
Great video. I pay $64.99 monthly for internet with Spectrum. I love this video.
Thank you Val!!!!
Oh I love these ideas! Thank you so much Christine!!!!
Everyone talks about ditching cable for streaming. Nobody mentions a tv antenna though. You can buy one very cheap or make one for nothing. I get my local news through antenna and steam everything else.
Hi Vic! We have one of those! Didn't pay a dime for it though because my brother gave me one he wasn't using any more:)
Homemade food ready to go
YESSSSS Carolina!
I love that idea.
You remind me of Leah Remini (cute like her) loved your ideas
I just giggled! I've been hearing that since I was in college. I definitely take that as a compliment. Love her! (Used to be a huge King of Queens of fan!) lol. Thanks for watching Carolyn! HAPPY FRIDAY!
OMG That's right, I couldn't figure out who she reminds me me of
I was literally thinking the same thing!!
You should get the overdrive app which you use to borrow ebooks and audiobooks from your library. Also there is the Kanopy app which is also in conjunction with your library and is for documentaries
, classic and indie films. Both are free and you won't spend gas going to the library.
Oooh! Thank you Zoe!
Yay for the library. Does your library have a service like audible? Also, they could have programs for Kaden on the weekend. They also could have a movie “rental” from their website for a bit of extra variety.
Oooh! They definitely have fun stuff for kids on the weekend, but I'd love to see if they have a service like audible!!! I just love that library!
Well I guess I am sticking with ATT.Was thinking about going to spectrum. So thank you.
I feel bad saying bad things about a company, but it's been a horrible experience:( Glad I was helpful:) Have an awesome day L Blake:)
Handbags - I found one that's perfect for me, use it until it dies dead, and have a spare in the cupboard for when it does die.
Same here.
I agree with you on the internet thing. I have the triple play right now tv, internet and phone. I don't use the phone and hardly watch the tv enough for it to be worth it so I asked what just the internet would cost by itself and it was only like $2.00 less so I just stayed with what I have for now.
I'm still annoyed that I have to pay $69 a month for internet only:( Seems high but we don't have options in my area. BUMMER!
I buy a lot of clothes from op-shops so they cost no more than $5 an item. I bought a brand new pair of long trousers a few months ago that should have been $49.99 but I paid $5 for them.
That is so awesome!!! What a great deal!
I try not to buy any type of box foods. I found the salt content is too high everytime my feet swell and my hands swell and I wake up the next day with a splitting headache
Soooo good to minimize the box foods. Awesome.
Would love to hear how the car got paid off.🤔
Thank you so much Pauline! Here's Part 1!!!! Hope it's helpful! ua-cam.com/video/G-5sJmff4K0/v-deo.html
