No problem and your welcome. Little things like that drive me nuts because I don't want it looking sloppy and also don't want to have any problems with the wiring so this was my simple solution for it.
Best catch can install vid for the 392 that I’ve seen on UA-cam. I appreciate the extra detail with the wire harness using the zip tie to lock them down to the bracket!.. Perfect timing for my upcoming install on mine when it arrives this week.
Larry Ballard Thank you very much I really appreciate the complements! I just really didn’t like the wiring flopping around. You will be really glad you got one once you see the oil it catch’s. I am going to have a review video on mine this Sunday if you are interested. Hopefully this video will be helpful for you on your install! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thanks and glad to hear that you enjoyed the video! The zip tie is a must personally and glad you liked that idea as well! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I have watched dozens of catch can installs (because that is what I do). Some have made it look as painful as pulling nose hairs. You did a great job with everything! I especially like the tie wrap trick. I was either going to drill a hole in the z bracket or put a tab under the mounting hole that had a hole to push the christmas tree into. Pretty slick mister....
Thank you very much and I appreciate the kind words! Haha you made me laugh about being as painful as pulling nose hairs! I wanted a way to secure the wires and that's what I found and thought it might be a helpful idea. Drilling a hole for the Christmas tree clip would also be good. Thanks for your support and watching and commenting!
I didn't think of removing it to make it look cleaner I am going to have to take a look now thanks! Thanks I love the way it looks with the black fittings!
I ordered a JLT catch can, I'm hoping it works as well. I thought everyone that's even slightly mechanically inclined has and(😂) zip tie or two around.
Thanks for the clear video explanation. The instruction sheet that comes with the catch can from Billet has horrible photos. They should just reference your video for the installation instructions. 😆

That is so awesome brother! I am glad that you found this video helpful and was able to get your oil catch can installed! CHEERS! Thanks for watching and commenting buddy!
Thanks for a great install video. I just installed my catch can on my 17 Scat Pack. I used a fastener puller to remove the harness out of the block. I was careful to get the can as snug as I could without over-tightening. I can see that would strip if you over tighten. Thanks. I purchased my car used with 12k on it. Better late than never. I see you used a washer on the CC. I did not see one in my kit.
You're welcome and glad you enjoyed the video! That would be the proper tool to use unlike me lol. Yes it would strip out easily and you just want to be careful. That's is very true and it is better late than never they are a good investment. That's strange that you did not get a washer in your kit but not having wont hurt anything. Thanks for watching and commenting buddy!
@@MeanBee392 Seems I have a newer kit. The hoses where the perfect length and no cutting required. I used a standard zip tie but the job came out great. Fewer parts to drop. Thanks again.
Curious as to why you need a catch can. Where you connected on the rear of the motor. Is a factory catch can that has a dip stick in it to check it for full. Are the factory ones not any good?! Thanks.
Thanks for watching and commenting! The factory one from what I can tell really doesn't catch much at all the one I have installed shows how much still blows by and it collects a lot of oil! I was just thinking I should do a video on how much it catches and now seeing your comment I will have to do that video soon. The 6.4L or 392 produced so much blow by it is kinda mind blowing. I really love the hose end's. I upgraded to the braided hoses but they will also work on the rubber hose as well. Thanks for watching and commenting buddy!
Hey MeanBee, I think I'll order both a catch can and a dress up kit this weekend! What exactly did you order for your catch can, was is the regular cost of the can, plus extra for Z bracket and extra for black fittings? Also, did you question them if you could get "392", or anything on the top? I see their site shows some like that...
Krista Doucet Yeah I ordered the catch can and then add the Z bracket, black fittings, color matched hose ends, and the braided hose unfortunately that all cost extra but personally it’s worth it! Sometimes they have an option for engraving or you can do a custom engraving and you will have to email them for a custom one and if they don’t have a standard one listed as an option you will have to email them for that also. Hopefully this helps and if you have any more questions let me know!
Thanks for that! We decided for now just to go with the dress up kit, as adding the oil catch can at the same time would add up! Right now what bugs me most under the hood is the ugly coolant tank! Do you have any plans for yours?
Krista Doucet Awesome! Yes it does add up hahaha I know all about that! Yes I would agree the coolant tank looks bad! I would like to get a billet cover for it someday!

Nice video. Just wish someone would show how easy or how difficult it is to empty the catch can. From all the video’s I’ve seen on this, it looks tight to remove to empty. Last thing i want is spilling oil on my engine.
Thanks and glad you enjoyed it! It is a bit of a tight fit but nothing to bad and I have never had a problem with dropping it or almost dropping it when removing it. Hopefully that helps and thanks for watching and commenting! 🐝
Yes this is just the anodized blue that they offer but if you want an exact color match check out American Brother Designs they paint them to the same exact color code of your car. I have a video on my channel of their door locks and bezels on our Gomango Charger and I show how they are an exact color match. Hopefully this helps and thanks for watching and commenting!
Yes it is stronger than paint but for parts like this as long as you are not hitting it with metal objects its not going to chip so either one will be good.
I didn't think much about catch cans until I installed one on my 2017 Silverado. I was amazed at the junk it caught. The EPA would rather that you burn this crap in your engine. Direct injection and turbo engines are for the birds. There is some maintenance with a catch can however. The manufacturer of my can recommends that the screen on it be cleaned with brake cleaner every 10,000 miles.
@A Stanton1966 It is mind blowing at what all they collect and to think they want your engine to eat all of it to "burn it off" is just insane and not healthy for the engine! I say you wouldn't 💩 where you eat so why should your engine. Thanks for watching and commenting! 🐝

Thanks for the video, I just installed my oil catch can following all your steps. Where did you buy your ziptie? Do you have a link or does it have a specific size?
That is awesome to hear! Hopefully the video was helpful and your install went smooth! I bought a pack of the zip ties at a local hardware store and I do not know the size off the top of my head. They are a mounting zip tie. Let me see what I can find out for you. Thanks for watching and commenting!
MeanBee392 Happy thanksgiving! Thanks! It went smoothly, somethings were harder to remove as you noted. It was the most detailed video I could find, perfect for someone totally inexperienced.
Thanks and I hope you had a great Thanksgiving! That is so great to hear that the video was so helpful for you! Thanks for watching and commenting and all the kind words!
Dam you make it seem so easy. I wish you can do a video on a 5.7 if you have one at your disposal
eunit08 Thanks bro! I would like to do something like that! I will have to be on the look out for one and maybe I could make a video on it!
Fantastic tutorial . Thank you.👍🏻
You're welcome and glad you enjoyed it and hopefully it will come in help full for you. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Nice install video!! I like how the blocks are orange on the 392! Are those RC airplanes on your wall?
Thanks man! Yeah I thing its cool that they painted them orange also! Lol yes they are I have too meany hobbies!
That's cool, I love aviation and always wanted to get into RC planes.
Same here I am really into WWII aviation but I do love it all! They are a lot of fun and it you have spare time I would recommend getting into RC planes! If you ever have any questions feel free to hit me up!
Cool, I'm really into WWll aviation also, I went to Oshkosh this year and hope to go next year, its an aviation fans Disney World, lots of WWll stuff, if you ever go let me know, I camp there in my travel trailer.
Nice we have more than just Mopars in common lol! Wow man that's is awesome my Dad and I have always wanted to go ever sense I was a kid. Maybe someday we will be able too and meet up with you!
Is that there “blue” offering..? I also have a b5 blue n cant find the exact color match
Isnt powder coat better then paint..? I
Yes it is stronger than paint but for parts like this as long as you are not hitting it with metal objects its not going to chip so either one will be good.
Where is the site for the billet catch can?
billettechnology.net/ That is their web site hopefully that helps if not let me know. Thanks for watching and commenting!
awesome! now to buy one...
Thanks! Hurry up on get one man lol!
Great video thank you for sharing
Thanks and glad your enjoyed it! Hopefully it was helpful. Thanks for watching and commenting! 🐝
IS IT WORTH IT? THANK YOU
I didn't think much about catch cans until I installed one on my 2017 Silverado.
@Juan V YES absolutely it is worth it 100% and I would highly recommend anyone to get one! 🐝
@A Stanton1966 It is mind blowing at what all they collect and to think they want your engine to eat all of it to "burn it off" is just insane and not healthy for the engine! I say you wouldn't 💩 where you eat so why should your engine. Thanks for watching and commenting! 🐝

So I guess I'm the only one who's brittle ass Christmas tree broke off in the bolt thread hole huh.
I doubt you are the only one but you can always replace it and easily dig out the broken stem.
What the hell? Using the correct tool to do a job is not normal.
Might want to see a doctor about that.
Really...nice video.
HAHAHA! Your comment made me laugh and thanks for that! Thanks for the complement! Thanks for watching and commenting!
instead of buying that special ziptie, just ziptie around the whole harness
That would also work but I was going for a factory look! Thanks for watching and commenting!
