Love you!!
Sabina
This is one of their quarantine videos! Every other Friday they put one out, which helped some of us to stay sane. They are in their own homes, which is amazing!!
Home Free did some of these videos during COVID lock-down as they could not get together they did their parts remotely and were edited into one video. American Pie was another one. When you see them all separately for the whole video you can bet COVID was the culprit.
That was the way they could get some music out to the fans and still stay safely at home, going nuts like the rest of us were. No deterrent to making great music for these guys.
Great video! If you liked this, you should check out the sea shanty Chance (the baritone, first guy singing in this video) wrote called "Skull & Bones." It's the theme for a video game called "Skull & Bones." The producers/publishers of that game saw this Sea Shanty Medley video and reached out to Home Free to write the main theme for the game. The live version they have up is the better version in my opinion. Tim (bass singer) really shows his talent within the first few seconds on that version. He doesn't even sound human, it's very impressive. They also play guitar and mandolin on it. You'll love it. Take care!
Home Free is coming to Copenhagen 15. september, by the way
Ohhh!! Man! I’m in Switzerland by then!
@@sabina1118 no problem, they have a show in Zürich 24. september:)
Thanks for your reaction! How good are these guys? The fun & energy in this is infectious. This was done during quarantine so none of the guys were even together. The editing of this was great & was done in the Tik Tok style. Love all the guys parts, with Tim's rumbling bass underlying it all. And Adam's beatboxing is phenomenal as always including sea swells & castanets. Amazing how he increased the tempo from one song to another. They do this medley of songs in their live concerts.
Oh yes! And that beatboxing is WILD!
@@sabina1118 Thank you. At the beginning sounded like old pirates 🏴☠️ chanting songs. Well performed
See you next time
Welcome back! You've missed SO much -- Home Free just keeps pumping out masterpieces, getting better and better. Two of their more recent original marvels are "Skull and Bones" and "Playing with Fire." Run, don't walk, and look at those!
Noted!! Thanks!!
Yes... more *Home Free* MORE! Please.
Love Home Free! Tim went low. Chance (red knit hat) loves sea shanties and brought the idea to the boys. This was during Covid so they weren’t even together. They put it together so well. Chance wrote a new song for a pirate game called Skull and Bones. It’s a banger. Ubisoft (game maker) saw this shanty and asked them to write a song for their game. Chance wrote Skull and Bones. You should check that out. Good reaction!🤩
Skull & Bones w as re Lea sed in 2 versions: the longer lyric version & a live version. In the live version, Chance sings bass & Tim goes insanely low. Rob (beard & glasses) is magnificent!
Home Free always blows my mind, too. And the beatbox castenets...Adam Rupp is amazing!
Chance wrote and took lead on Skull And Bones a lyric video .Ubisoft heard their Sea Shanty Melody and loved it so Ubisoft approached Home Free with an amazing opportunity to write a shanty for Skull And Bones video game they are releasing soon. Chance loves sea shanties and everything to do with the sea and loves gaming so he jumped at the opportunity. They also sang a shorter version at Ubisoft Live Premiere. It’s beyond epic.A lot of reactors do both the lyric and live in the same reaction because the live is much shorter and you get to see who is doing what.
This project was the result of a lot of convincing by Adam Chance. Chance is a big sea shanty buff and he convinced the others to do this. Recently the game company Ubisoft contacted them after seeing this video. For the upcoming pirate game 'Scull And Bones' they asked Home Free to write a song for a trailer I believe. Chance wrote it and, it isn't accapella since Adam plays guitar and Austin plays the mandolin in it but its a really really cool song by the same name as the game. Skull And Bones.
YASSSSS! She needs to react to Skull and Bones lyric video and live version!
That was a blast Sabina, thanks for sharing this really fun and unbelievably creative Medley. Cheers. 🥰🥰
My pleasure 🥰😃
I'm a longtime lover of sea shantys, so these great examples are all quite familiar. This was put together during the height of Covid, when the group could not perform together. Great reaction, and yet another great performance by Home Free. More, more, more!
You could have a second channel just for Home Free reactions, sign me up!
Sabina, you have a lot of catching up to do with Home Free, continue down this rabbit hole and find out what makes them special and loved by their fans. You won't be disappointed. ❤
If you think the bass is nuts in this one, listen to Skull and Bones. An original song they did for Ubisofts' new game.
I love this medley as it shows off Chance's voice so nicely. Normally Rob and Austin have center stage, but Chance got to shine in this one.
Welcome back Sabina! If it's low bass and smooth harmonies that you want, react to Home Free "Brothers In Arms." Great reaction.
Please keep doing more Home Free reactions. They've done some amazing covers as well as outstanding original songs.
I never get tired of hearing this. Used to sing one of the songs when I was a kid. Still love hearing it.
Such powerful songs here!!
I like how it goes from black and white to color and back to black and white.
Your reactions are among my favorite on UA-cam. Thanks for returning to Home Free and sharing this. For additional information, I saw a UA-cam video where someone explained that sea shanties were used as a significant portion of the sailing industry. It was used (much like some "negro" spirituals on plantations) to help workers ignore some of the monotony (and pain) of their tasks, and in the case of the sea shanties, to help the sailors pull together with an efficient rythm when working very heavy tasks ("heave her up" for raising massive sails, or very large cargo on manual cranes). I get emotional hearing these, perhaps because they make me yearn for working in tandem with others to accomplish things too great for us as individuals. Thanks again for all you do!
Also if you liked this...getting on-board with any major acappella group (especially Home Free, Pentatonix, and Voice Play) is a really good way to essentially "hack" the YT algorithm. Only if you're truly loving them though because they all have such loyal fanbases that a) They will 100% be able to tell if you're faking enthusiasm; but b) If you are genuine in your love for any of these groups, YOU will also gain a massive, loyal fanbase as a reactor to them...at least as long as you continue to react to acapella.
We missed your reactions 😊
Of all the outstanding parts of this medley, what amazes me the most is Adam Rupp's castenet sounds. Although no one else makes mention of this in the UA-camiverse (to borrow Ashley Burton's phrase), so maybe I'm impressed with the wrong thing.
Subbed for more HF. I know you love them, so take the plunge even more! They have such a vast repertoire, and I think you would really enjoy it. PS you said the bass is nuts. I say he's talented and hot, a two-for. In fact, they all are!
They are at the top of the game in a cappella groups. #1 all the way. Everyone of them have killer vocals.
These guys are amazing!
One of their "Covid Classics"!
This was recorded during quarantine. They were all in their own homes
Glad to have you back! Hope you will cover some mort of HF. Their catalog is growing it seems almost daily. If you can make one of their concerts next month on their tour of Europe, you will not be disappointed. They are as good in person as in these videos.
Listen to all these songs by
"The longest johns" they are absolutely amazing.
(They do justice to the songs, they really do) !
I love sea shanties. Nathan Evan’s collection includes most of these in full, a great listen.
So many good Home Free videos, but a couple that I like very much are “Brothers in Arms”, from Dire Straits, and “End of the Road” from Boyz II Men. For sheer fun, try “Life is a Highway”, a cover but not sure of the original.
This is so much fun. My favorite thing is Adam's castanets. No idea how he does that.
It’s just great energy from start to finish!!
Very Nice n The Voice was very deep..❤
Yes! 😍
You've got my deepest respect for having such respect for them 😄
And I just love your reactions ❤ 😘
I enjoyed the transition from black and white to color and then back to black and white .
They are coming to Europe soon
Oh!!
Glad you are back, please don’t stay away so long, loved your reaction. Low bass Kenneth
They are putting out some great original songs too! Try the stargazer lilies trilogy. Three separate original songs in order!
A pleasure to be back!
The HF guys showing their creativity once again: the TikTok format to manage their separation during quarantine ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
Tim staying so still to keep from falling out of the boat he's standing in--it makes me laugh because every time I see him in this I think of the animated pirate dolls in Disneyland's Pirates of the Caribbean. 😆
And those castanets!! Adam Rupp's percussion and sound effects are second to none!! 🥰
I hope you cover HF's version of "Bless The Broken Road!
Once again, very nice reaction!
They have put out a lot of original music lately.
Wow, they are brilliant. Thank you for introducing me to this group Sabina❤
You know you look like some I went to school with long time ago.
I like how you wait until the song is done before react!
Welcome back to the Rabbit Hole thar is Home Free.....you gotta a lot of catching up to do !!!!
Can't go wrong with Home Free or Tim Foust on his own.

Are they Scottish song 🎵؟
wearing a t shirt with Z on it at the start is a big no no in my view. liked your upload tho.
This was recorded well before the Russian build-up to invade Ukraine, and the Russian use of "Z." Z, as an abbreviation, is used in many terms. I'm guessing that if Home Free was to record the video today, no Z would have appeared.
You haven’t seen / heard “Folsom Prison Blues” yet ?
I was going to recommend “Playing with Fire”, their latest, but girl, you got some catching up to do. 😂
Thanks for reacting. ✌🏽🩷🏠🍟
