Nice timing Ron, coincidentally I just ordered a new backpack for myself, 23l in my case. And I'm with you on bottle pouches, it's 32oz Nalgene bottle size or nothing, for me at least. I also wanna mention that I really like your style in making videos and your mindset when it comes to EDC in general. No nonsense and to the point. Without 3 backup blades/full size flashlights or $500 prybar or any other pocket jewlery. Plus you have good taste in watches, knives and color coding btw. In those we have more than one thing in common.
Glad you like the videos man! I'm stoked for your new pack, it's gonna be fun loading that thing up. Which one did you get? I appreciate the kind words 🙏 Once I nail down the function of my kit, aesthetics are really important to me, and I'm glad it's showing through in my videos and shooting style. Thanks for watching and keep Living with Purpose 🙌
@@RonKwok @Ron Kwok I got myself a Maxpedition Riftcore. I know, a bit "tacticool" for today's grey man trend, but I love the style and versatility that comes with it. I got it for a pretty good price, especially for their European standards. I'm gonna pair it up with the DEP and bottle pouch from their AGR lineup which I got used some time ago to 100% complete the picture. All black of course. And yeah, I'm sooo looking foward to assemble and filling up the thing.
That's a sweet setup. The DEP looks handy to keep things light when you don't require your whole ruck. It's all good man, a good friend told me, "get whatever gear that will make you wanna use it." Trends be damned, if it gets the job done how you want, and it looks dope to you, that's all you need 👍 stoked for you man!
@@RonKwok That's pretty much how I used the DEP last summer. Knife, light, extra battery, headphones, lighter, small medical kit, pens, notebook will fit in there and then some. The gentleman I got it from sold it with a rifle sling and it worked perfectly as a small summer edc. Thanks for the kind words and I agree. Molle works for me since I started taking edc a bit more seriously about 10 years ago so I stuck with it.
I feel like i say this too much but as always GREAT video quality man! Love the minimalist and clean look. Congrats on the sponsorship! You deserve more subs! Keep up the good work:)
Yes and no. It does have a rectangular base built in so if you had something in the bag to weigh it down, it structurally could stand on its own; but because the bag is relatively thin and light, if you were to stand it up empty, in most cases it would fall over. Hope this helps! PS if you wanna check out a great bag that stands on its own, look for my video breakdown of the Able Carry Daily backpack. One of my go-to packs and very solid.
Im a photog dad and chase around a 3 year old my think tank bag is a amera bag only and looking at these dual purpose packs they seem to do nothing well either as a camera pack or a back pack we really need a great company like osprey who knows how to make a pack fit your back and distribute weight make a dual purpose pack it'd be a game changer
Dual purpose bags are hard to get right, and in most cases, I'd rather have 2 bags designed to do two different things REALLY well instead of 1 bag that does two mediocre things. Check out this vid I did on the Bold Co. PYTHO for a good multi-purpose bag: ua-cam.com/video/lapzbXbEur0/v-deo.html
This is a great compact option for daily carry that's also compatible with camera cubes and creative tools. If you want a sightly bigger volume with all the organizing compartments, go with the Able Carry Daily. Plus, it has very comfortable straps and back panel, and its exterior shell is very durable 👌
I love the combo with the camera insert!
Yea it's really handy. The best part is you can just detach the insert if you're leaving your camera at home 👍

wow thats a lotta exclamation marks
Thanks a lot man! Nah not at all too much, it keeps me going 🙏 glad you're enjoying the videos
Hey thanks for the asweome review. How tall are you? Im confused between the 17 and 21l
Yep 17 liter gets crowded quickly, becomes so stiff!
Hey Ron! Does this backpack stand by itself?
Yes and no. It does have a rectangular base built in so if you had something in the bag to weigh it down, it structurally could stand on its own; but because the bag is relatively thin and light, if you were to stand it up empty, in most cases it would fall over. Hope this helps!

This or the able carry daily?

I’m a creative!
You're impressive bro
How do you get such cool sponsors?
Hard work and a lot of luck 😉 I appreciate the love man, keep enjoying the videos!
