Native American women have had a certain appeal to them, there have been strong and beautiful figures both in the real and fictional world. It is a tragedy how they have been prosecuted in history. Did you know that they were in charge of the homes? They had a powerful role in the family, the matriarch.

This is not right betraying Native American Women in there past. But what did they go through.
I don't look to fix flaws in people. I look at the beauty of each person inside, and out.
I agree. But as a Native I see this as an amazing way for our youth to reconnect with our ancestors and see that we are them and they are us. Many have lost their way.

Both of my grandmothers were Cherokee and both of my Grandfathers were Irish. I always thought my grandmothers were beautiful and their long flawless black hair was so impressive. I have many pictures I have copied of my family and even though I am in my 70’s I still love to show them to people when they start talking about genealogy. Great video!

The women were naturally beautiful. Their faces did not need to be 'glamourized'. I would have preferred you to have left that out and animate their faces as they would have really looked from the pictures and THEN show them glamourized to our modern taste. Nevertheless fabulous work. Really interesting. Thank you.

Most of their faces have been slightly altered to" improve " their looks and make them look more" feminine". In fact, they all looked fantastic in their natural, original state. I do think, though, that two of them are men! ( 3 and 5). The first woman was astonishingly beautiful...

This is what I call “ clean pretty “ meaning pretty just the way they are with little to no makeup whatsoever! What gorgeous high checkbones and beautiful hair !! I was adopted at birth with very little knowledge of my indigenous roots but is apparently strong in my face and hair !!!
The first woman is not actually an Native American she is a Filipina Mestiza from the Philippines!

Isn’t the first girl represented Filipino? I thought that she was, I have many Filipino friends and have done much research on the Philippines and that picture is iconic for late 19th Century Filipino women.

OH God the girl at 1:35 looks exactly like my old girlfriend even the smile!!!! OH God I miss her....she was killed in a car wreck drunken driver run her and friends off the road. We were to supposed to get married. OH yes !!! She run the house but I love that!!! Very strong woman at 18. I was 17. She was 100% native American.

It's a shame that certain professional sports teams are forced to change their nicknames due to the fact that some people consider the names derogatory and racist, whereas some people are proud of those names.
I'm full blooded Native American, Kiowa Tribe, I don't really think most of us care as much as politicians care that it sounds racist. How many years have these professional teams been around and we Natives haven't made a fuss about it. I think it's just politicized bs. I'm glad the Florida State Seminoles are still around. A lot of Oklahoma high schools are still Native American themed. It is an honor to have us recognized imho.

Recreated?? These pictures do not show the original women, but have been photoshopped as if they all had extra and heavy makeup, and otherwise were fixed up. It doesn't feel right, and reminds of those modern beauty queen kids.

She was a Native American Woman by being raised in the Blackfoot Culture, but was probably of European origin. I find your work very credible and timely, as DNA does not tell the whole story. Why did youn feel the need to change them in to Caucasians? You rounded their eyes and trimed their noses while taking the roundness from their faces. Did you not think they were beautiful before.
Lived next to a Indian Reservation for 3yrs the young girls were beautiful but by time they were 15yrs and run through by their Uncles and various other relatives they were on the road to ruin and drug dependency, all very sad. The Chiefs and their relatives and friends wouldn’t have it any other way they have absolute control of the reservation/money and our Government doesn’t seem to mind.
This is beautiful work, but I don't think these women need a "makeover" to be beautiful.
