Now that's what I call music 1926! Great stuff, and just the setting up of this charming little phonograph is better than the dead experience of CDs and downloads.
the lindstrom co (the distributor not manufacturer) system vadasz mikiphone there where several versions of this little phono there was the T.S.K.
Some old guy from the 1900's: "Back in my day we quite literally Waltzed down the street carrying our Mikiphone's listening to our Jazz, instead of this new age 'Hip-Hop' and 'Rap' songs."
Do you know where to get a needle for it? Someone just handed one to me and said it didn't work. It took a whole 5 minutes to get it to work, but the needle is missing.
Antique stores, don't know the exact size of the needle but you could always find boxes of phonograph needles laying around more rare I know but antique shops would be the first place to look. I don't know the size of the needles for this and even if you found a box of phonograph needles that they would work. You are very lucky.
Dreadful sounding piece of junk. I note that it took longer to unpack, assemble, and set up then it did to play that crappy song. Truly hipster garbage, from 100 yrs. ago, and more proof that Silence is Golden...
Techmoan brought me here. Very neat device! Had Sony developed this back in the day, they might have called it the WalkChap.
Yeah, this is the real s...!
Yeah I too wanted to hear how the original sounded like
Techmoan didnt send me here , but the recommendation he generated did :)
Ha Ha yes, brilliant or a deluxe model called the Ambulatory Gent
RIP
after seeing Techmoan's video of the reproduction it astounds me how good the original sounds
Imagine how it sounds irl tho
Yeah this is quite a bit better than the reproduction.
Came from tech moan didnt you?
@@eduardoavila646 sure did.
I too saw Techmoan this morning and this just appeared in my recommend list. :D
Same here. Saw the TM vid and here I am. Gotta love youtube. This is so much better than the replica.
I'd like to hear the reproduction played with an earlier 78.
So neat and impressive for that time period. And it STILL WORKS! 🤯👌
Made to last like most things 100 years ago
Now THAT is exactly how to impress the ladies. Great job, Referee.
Is it wierd that I'm 14 and like old music and old things in general
@@Edible_edibility same bro
@@Edible_edibility no?
I go to parties with my protable phonograph in my pocket. And a backpack full of 78's...
Pretty great for almost 100 years ago. Ironically the size of a portable CD player. People need a modern version of this💯Great video!
Now that's what I call music 1926! Great stuff, and just the setting up of this charming little phonograph is better than the dead experience of CDs and downloads.
Sets up quickly
Thank you for demonstrating this. I love these.
Yes. Thank you. This is a Hungarian invention.
Far better than the reproduction shown on Techmoan.
Holy Wow ~ that's amazing!!!!
Really beautyful thing
Outstanding! I need one!
Played this around my Ford EcoSport, now it's a model T.
rubber gaskets in the soundbox are shot
Maravilloso una maravilla, un grato saludo.
Where can I get a new needle for this?
Did you manage to find one?
Imagine this was made close to 100 years ago....
Fantastic
Amazing!!
Cool!!!
Very, very cool!
Before it's assembled it looks like a CD Walkman.
Wow❤ That is resistant to EMP
GREAT
It was neat but you would had to have 10 or 12 inch discs for it the play
Гениально! Дедушка CD плеера😊

what the first name was of mr vadasz i never did find out but the mikiphone class type machines where not his only innovations there where also the bauhaus portables made by parlophone and odeon (also lindstrom) these also carry the name system vadasz these are large round portables with a long half-circular tone-arm

vendo mikiphoner 1924 ofrescan
Hi, you seem to know alot about the mikiphone, do you know if the black soundplates are made of bakelite or plastic?
Порадовало! Спасибо! 😀 👍👍👍
2:15 what is the name of that song
Darude Sandstorm
@@Leonartist thank you
Sweet Ginger Green i think is what's being played.
How is here because of Techmoan?
Hello, what i's the record planing? Thanks

Bonjour, où trouver une aiguille pour la lecture ? J ai ce mikiphone mais il me manque l aiguille.
Merci pour votre réponse

i just bought one of these in awful condition, wish me luck!
The reproducer definitely needs some TLC
Way before the Walkman was invented...a portable music player was invented...
Hi, what type/size of records eill this phonograph take.
Thank you
10 inch 78'S.
Részletek a magyar szabadalomról is. A készüléknél korabeli reklámokat raktam ki. www.radiomuseum.org/dsp_hersteller_detail.cfm?company_id=20604
I have same piece
Some old guy from the 1900's: "Back in my day we quite literally Waltzed down the street carrying our Mikiphone's listening to our Jazz, instead of this new age 'Hip-Hop' and 'Rap' songs."
We hung an onion to our belts, which was the style at the time.
Strangely enough, rap existed in the 20s, but in a different form.
great! 12th street rag!
Is that bakelite or vulcanized rubber? The black bits (the resonation chamber), maybe an early plastic?
Seems like early plastic on mine -- softer than bakelite and does not feel like rubber.
Incrível!
What is the song on the vinyl ???
sweet ginger green, or what ever song its based on i think
It's not a vinyl, it's a 78 :)
Vinyl is the material that single records and LP's were made of, but these older ones were made of shellaq
Wah.sandar
Do you know where to get a needle for it? Someone just handed one to me and said it didn't work. It took a whole 5 minutes to get it to work, but the needle is missing.
I would be very happy if you handed it to me...at a cost of course...
This is priced at 500 to 1500 dollars
Antique stores, don't know the exact size of the needle but you could always find boxes of phonograph needles laying around more rare I know but antique shops would be the first place to look. Nice,
How you get it?
Money, you need money!😂😂😂
At 00:04 Zip!
Vadász sound system!
Where can we buy these?
eBay
@Joshua Agaid they're shitty though
For when you want your music to sound like it's being played from a tin-can speaker at the bottom of a well.
Normal gramophones didn't sound all that much better than this.
That why you put a sock in it.
I think it sounds time appropriate.
@@ElectroPotato no they sounded WAAAAY better I should know my father has one
@B3ro1080 well considering there was no plug and had a crank, yeah I'm sure jackass
A japán másolat, ügyes név mődosítás! :) www.radiomuseum.org/r/mikkyphone_mikky_phone.html
is this the original or the indian replica ?
Ori
The replica would sound much... much worse ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Techmoan gave you clues to recognize an original from the replica.
@@Dresdentrumpet ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Techmoan brought me here.
Sooppr.😀😁😁😁😊😎😋😊😉
put a tissue in the plastic box and reupload
Ах чтоб мне...
is this the ancestor to the mp3?
Yes
:05 - you sliding that record across the table without a sleeve made me want to not like you.

Unless you're parachuting into enemy territory, a suitcase gramophone would be more practical.

@B3ro1080 not at all, those pocket machines were a novelty in the 1920s, your regular HMV101 portable gramophone sounded very good
