getting into or out of it would've been good or perhaps seeing how it does with a current? or a crash? a $60 pool toy can float on stillwater too.

It's a crosscraft, designed for/limited to flatwater crossings, not WW. But it's about durability too: the Supai nylon fabric will outlast pooltoy vinyl by miles.
