Momentum 3 are better sounding than the PX7, I'm sad to say (I chose the PX7 without listening to them, because the PX - also better than the PX7 - had blown me away). On the PX7 soundstage has been narrowed (why??) and the bass is thicker, less clean, and much more overwhelming (why??). The Momentums also have a good sound stage, and much more noticeable clarity than the PX7. It is as if the PX7 wants to hide the premium hardware it actually has (again why?? - that is not usual for B&W, whom has impressed me so many times before, especially with their high powered cleanliness).

i received a Sennheiser PXC 550 II + Sennheiser BT T100 Transmitter today. BOY IT SUCKS! Headphone firmware can only be updated using a chatty android app AND REQUIRES 15+ MINUTES IF YOU KEEP YOUR PHONE FROM SLEEP! But the most anoying thing is sporadic weird crackle noises when ever there is sound. Even when paired with the Sennheiser BT T100 it crackles in both speakers at the same time. no matter what volume, even when ANC is OFF!! must be a bluetooth thing. absolute NO GO for me!!

The PXC 550 II is easily $150-$200 overpriced. It definitely feels lacking in quality compared to the Momentum 3, which is only a bit more expensive and sounds far better. Also what was Sennheiser thinking by not upgrading the PXC 550 II to USB-C for 2019/2020?
Am I the only one who thinks ambient mode is unnecessary? It's a rather silly nitpick. Like if you want to hear your background take the headphones off. Otherwise, keep it on and listen in silence.
I mean, what if you wanna listen to music but need to be able to hear if your name is called? Or what if you’re in a plane and wanna hear the pilot speaking?
Hangry Hippo Usually pilots directly speak to the passengers 3-4 times a flight. I mean I enjoy hearing how much longer we have till we reach the ground or how the weather is there or flight attendants speaking to me asking what drink I’d like.
I tried out a pair of PXC 550 II's because I found the sound quality of the WH-1000XM3 to be a downgrade from my Audio-Technica ATH-M50xBT headphones (which lack noise canceling). I could not have been more disappointed. I'm pretty sure the pack-in earbuds that came with my old iPhone 5C sounded better than this. The upper-mids sound like they're coming through a straw. This would make sense since the ultra-thin fabric liner in the earcup is not at all equipped to dampen internal reflections. It reminds me of the way headphones sound when they have cheap replacement earpads that lack the foam layer needed to prevent this. Comfort is pretty awful, too. They are definitely _not_ big head approved. My head isn't humongous; I only need to extend most headphones out to 60-70% of their maximum size to fit my head, but I max out the headband on the PXC 550 II's and still find myself wanting an extra notch. The headband is stiff and it gives me a headache after 5-10 minutes of wearing them. If you need ANC, just get the Sony WH-1000XM3s. They do everything better than the PXC 550 II's and they're about the same price in excellent, used condition. As for me, I think I'll be sticking with my ATH-M50xBT's for home use and WH-1000XM3's for travel.
I recently picked up some PXC 550-II for $150USD ($219NZD) new, at that price they are great!! The next model PXC 550-III would benefit from USB-C and larger headband adjustment. I doubt the iPhone 5c earbuds would sound better, the KEF M100 maybe. The Technics AZ-70 buds certainly do.
For all these people who expect to "feel" bass with their headphones, I have a suggestion. Go get a watermelon sized speaker. Headphones in my opinion are not meant to feel your bass. Headphones are designed to for intimate listening.
I have the WH-1000XM3, those are great. Then bought the WF-1000XM3 not so comfortable, but great in the end. Those are perfect for noisy places and that's when you get the value for them. But if you want a pair of headphones for your house or office job, UA-cam or Netflix, just buy a pair of Sony WH-CH700N, those are perfectly fine, I have them and are my go to when I'm in home (if you don't mind having a Micro USB cable). My other option are the Sennheiser 4.50 BTNC (the ones with Micro USB) those are great and enjoyable as well.
Sony has better ANC, but sennheisers sound/build quality is way better. Sonys sound quality is average at best. So for audiophiles it's sennheiser all the way.

@@fabiw Heh. Just saw this. Last night I bought the 1000XM3. They are there next to me charging. I'll try them out in a bit. I wanted Momentum 3s, but it was $278 vs $399, so I decided to go with the Sonys. I don't love the look of either of them, given I come from maroon Skullcandy Crusher ANCs, but I'm more interested in the sound than looks.
creepyツ muddy mid range
@@domzbu I've been using them. Definitely sound better than the Skullcandy ANC. The noise cancelling is pretty crazy too. Haha. Even though I honestly don't need that feature that much. I do think the Skullcandys look way better and I miss the haptic bass sometimes, but I just can't stand the shoddy build quality on them.
I would recommend the momentum 3, got my a week ago and they sound next level to the mx3.. the cost is more but think about the quality build it will last u for longer.
Can you compare the pxc 550 2's to the B&W px7
Well, I've bought PXC 550-II's for 189 dollars haha.
@Sayyed Hussain It was on black friday. Out of stock.
That's about the price they should cost. $350 is a ripoff when the Momentum 3 can be had for usually less than $50 more.
Pershonally I'm not a fan of Micro USB
I don’t think anyone is a fan of Micro USB lol
Ubername69 I think you missed the joke. Gymcaddy mispronounces personally as pershonally in every video
Michael McGrath oh lol nvm

get the jbl partybox100 on ur channel...can't wait for a review
Does the sony wh1000xm3 also support usb-c to usb-c audio connection?
@Ezugo Obuekwe Sad
JUST GET THE PXC 550 THEY LOOK MORE PREMIUM WITH STAINLESS ACCCENT AND ARE ONLY $199 !!!!!!!!!! THEY SOUND GREAT . ALL THEY REALLY DID IS SELL THEM IN ALL BLACK WITH NO MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS.
Why is “ambient mode” a thing????? Take your headphones off when you’re speaking to someone…..
Nah
i enjoy google pixel products, but the moment of using gesture control of the pixel 4 in public ist just ridicoulous :D

Momentum 3 wins hands down due to being the _true_ upgrade.
i received a Sennheiser PXC 550 II + Sennheiser BT T100 Transmitter today.
Bro you can buy travelling hardshell case for 15 USD..
Plnotučná Horčica Specifically for the Momentum 3? Where?
Micro USB = no buy
Totally agree man. Last time I checked It's definitely not 2016 anymore.
Evanti Blacke What amazes me more is that the QC35 hasn't been updated with a MK3 model with USB-C and Bluetooth 5.0 and it hasn't had a price drop.
Look im telling you seinhesier momentums 3 is the best sounding headphones you can buy i do not work for seinhesier because i will tell the px 550 is garbage the px 550 2 is garbage also but seinhesier momentums earbuds are great momentums 3 are great
The PXC 550 II is easily $150-$200 overpriced. It definitely feels lacking in quality compared to the Momentum 3, which is only a bit more expensive and sounds far better. Also what was Sennheiser thinking by not upgrading the PXC 550 II to USB-C for 2019/2020?
@@SLI1337 i said the px 550 2 is garbage im sorry when i give a review they are true
@@kennethmorales4098 I was agreeing with you.
Lol who paid 400 for the momentum 3? Not me.
TechEnthusiast to be fair the pilot has nothing to say to you. If he is in trouble then the last people he is talking to are passengers lol
I have the Sony xm3's I'm gonna wait for the new version of them👈🏾🤔🤔
I have Sony WF1003xm3 and Sony WH1003xm3
For all these people who expect to "feel" bass with their headphones, I have a suggestion. Go get a watermelon sized speaker. Headphones in my opinion are not meant to feel your bass. Headphones are designed to for intimate listening.
Ikr
Nice
@@Max-ip2ct Sennheiser top!
You never look happy or excited in your videos.... expressionless I would say👈🏾😝
You have 50 thousand subs. Buy a goddam lapel mic.
He seems a bit biased towards the momentum 3’s.
@E. O. Would you say that I should pay 120 dollars extra above the PXC 550 2, to get the Momentum 3? Are they 120 dollars better?
@E. O. I live in another country though, would you say the M3 are 120$ better than the PXC 550 ii?
nah m3s are just better in sound quality
The Momentum 3’s are the _true_ upgrade after all.
