I'll tell you what I did 🥰 I used struggled with acne and dull skin for years until one day I decided to just ditch the elaborate skincare routine and posing in photos in a way that hid most of my face. I started visualizing what I wanted my face to look like. Healthy, spot free and even tone skin. A natural soft smile. Bright eyes. Defined cheekbones and jawline. I painted a picture of my ideal self and just started obsessing over it. Yes, obsessed is the word. I urge you to check Tam Kaur on youtube.. she taught me we MUST obsess over ourselves for growth. I decided to live as if I already had my dream face. How would I MAINTAIN my beauty and not CHASE it? I'd eat clean - 2 litres of water, lots of raw veggies (carrots, cucumbers, beets, tomatoes), cut out 90% sugar and avoid eating out. I'd do my simple 3 step skincare at night with gentle fingers on my face while admiring myself in the mirror for a good 10 minutes. I'd wear light makeup- just concealer, blush, lip stain and mascara (even while i still had all the "imperfections") because my dream self wouldn't have to fuss over too many products right? I read somewhere that smiling for 2 minutes straight several times a day trains our face and body to have an inviting and attractive appeal. I'd keep reminding myself I can conquer anything and win over anyone with a genuine smile. I did these things for weeks and months and eventually forgot I was trying to 'practice'. Eventually these things became a part of my daily lifestyle and before I knew it, I just knew I was a baddie now hehe. I started feeling so secure and confident in my face and just overall look girls started complimenting me all the time and I attracted the right male attention in a respectful way. You dont need any external factors to validate your beauty but these signs just confirmed that shifting your mindset WORKS. Later I learned that looking pretty was just a by product of the whole process.. the greater reward was the changes in my fitness, my energy levels, my social skills and my self image. And why does it not work for people in third world countries. She even asked me so why do young children get abused it’s not like they assumed they would get abused. I feel kind of ashamed to say that I haven’t reached the level of self love and forgiveness they have but I hope I do eventually. I only recently realised how much actually yearn for love and to be in such a beautiful relationship, so it gives me hope that it’s a possibility for me in some way. I really hope so💗
