  • Chaotic scenes erupted at the Pan African Parliament in Midrand, Johannesburg after some members refused to vote. Members of the PAP were seen grabbing the ballot box.
Delegates were calling for police to be called in to break up the chaos.
Some members were chanting no rotation no election.
Last week - members in Parliament were engaged in the fierce debate over the issue of rotational leadership instead of direct elections. The vote which had been scheduled for last Thursday was abandoned after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19.

I strongly second your motion. South Africa is just wasting their time and money trying to form unity with people who will always feel that South Africa thinks they are better than them.
      1. One moment ke Mali threatening Julius Malema,
      2. Next moment ke Senegal the person is kicking a South African WOMAN in the midst of all those so called AFRICANS, and he says he was kicking a Zimbabwean. Like seriously, as if kicking a Zimbabwean is more justified than kicking a South African woman.

The biggest problem with African countries is identification of self by colonizers - Francophone etc. Africa needs one language as fast as it can we can. I suggest that Swahili be adopted as an official African language taught in all schools as a must so that as our children become leaders, they identified themselves as Africans not by foreign identities.
Secondly, there must be rotation at this Pan African Parliament so that there is balance of top leadership representation from all regions in African not only a given section.
