I love this season hands down but I found it really annoying how all these GROWN adults this season were so dependent on Clementine throughout this season and kept blaming her for things that were completely out of her control.
@@arcanefury3666i don’t get why they had to kill off Luke. He was a great character with only 1 flaw, they made him depend on Clem. But overall he actually was a pretty cool man.
probably annoying because it reminds yall of yourselves and the actual world. Imagine a world where you lose most of your usual temporary pleasures and coping mechanisms. Even now yall aren't any different and in a zombie apocalypse most definitely wouldnt be but truth makes complaints worthless since they're just meant for us to be heard and feel special
I hated this sorry ass season 2 group. They came to Kennys house, got his friends and new gf killed, & then tried treating him like HE was the loose cannon of the group
fr like they KNOW Carver was on their asses but they still decided to stop and get comfortable at Kenny's house. Kenny might be insufferable sometimes but they're just braindead
It would’ve made wayy more sense if they set up an ambush or something. They know they’re being followed and clem saw them at the bottom of the hill, but they pretended everything was cool. Never seen a bigger fumble
@Akain777 exactly! They had the guns to do so and they were outnumbered but the only reason they had the upper hand is because our group got too damn comfortable, you wouldn't do that in a real zombie apocalypse
And they were going to give Lilly’s returned to Christa, but they said that they didn’t think that would be in character for Christa, but they could’ve figured out some other way to bring her back in season four
@@seanbaby1060 another person that was cool was Pete. But i feel Telltale killing him off to early was a mistake as he would have come off as a sort of light version of Lee. A maybe have him die during the end of episode 2 during carvers attack at the lodge. Or have him live until the end of ep 3 or start of ep 4. Where he sacrifices himself to save Clem and draw the horde to his position.
@@silentecho92able agreed Pete was a good character they wasted him, it would have been more impactful if they killed him off towards the end of the season
@@seanbaby1060 Basically the Hershel of the group. He could have acted as second in command. Or the advisor of the camp, and be the pillar of the group. It would make more sense in ep 4, Kenny confides in him considering they are both of the same age as they both lost family and friends and develop a friendship. Jane still leaves the group at the end of ep 4 never to come back at all. Frustrating Luke, as her reasons is this group is falling apart and does not wanna be in it when it does. Making Luke angry at Kenny all the way, an during the lake crossing instead of Luke dying it would be Pete. Which would push Kenny overboard losing another friend he made. An Luke developing more anger towards Kenny and make him start thinking irrationally moving forward.
jane saw a man who was one step away from crashing out and decided to drop kick his ass to that point 😭 like how do you leave an infant alone in a blizzard in a zombie apocalypse to prove a point??
I SEE NO LIES HERE. Jane is the hardass survivalist but anything could have happened to AJ in that car. Someone could’ve snatched him, zombie could’ve heard him crying, or literally anything (especially when siding with Jane is like useless lowkey) 💀💀 Plus everything you do to train Sarah or motivate her just doesn’t work. Carlos pissed me off the most because he treated Clemtime the most like a stupid kid. Like dude shes not your anxiety ridden daughter, she is carrying your ass!!!

"You are just like me. We are the same person." "I'm literally 11 years old, what the fuck is wrong with you." "I have a god complex thanks to the zombie apocalypse." - Carver and Clementine
Literally groaned when he said that bc we barely know this dude, watched him kill a guy over blueberries, and he has the audacity to say that to a literal 12 year old. If he said that after the we sacrificed Sarah or stole from Arlo then sure but he dies too early to be a significant boss.
Unironically would've been much better if he said that to Kenny before dying, it just makes a lot more sense (and would even foreshadow Kenny's downfall) But to be fair, before ep 4 and 5 (...and even 3 to an extent) it's almost like Telltale always wanted for Clem to be as ruthless as Carver by the end of the season, but development/writing hell happened and we got this mess instead
HOW THE HELL was Carlos a doctor but couldn't tell a dog bite from an undead human bite? And said to wait to see if Clementine doesn't get a fever even tho that would have happened anyway due to the infection.
Sarah was my biggest disappointment with this season, the potential for her to develop and become a competent survivor was completely wasted. You even teach her how to aim a gun which doesn't make a single difference later on in the story, and then she gets killed because telltale said so.
I know this sounds bad, but Sarah reminded me a lot about myself. Introverted, sheltered, full of anxiety with no true view of the real world. I wanted a chance to save her and watch her develop into a more mature fighter. It didn’t have to be much. There could’ve had a scene where if you save her, she may get lost and be gone for the rest of the game. But a season or two later, Clem could find her with a new group, stronger than ever (maybe save Clem in a surprise save from some zombies) and Sarah could say thanks for not giving up on her.
They did same thing to Ben where you think he'd make a great character who has made mistakes and has room for character development, but instead that's been thrown out the window
Yeah, I remember thinking about how the way you can stand up for her, teach her, etc should have made some sort of difference in whether or not she survived. Like I understand, the 11 or so days season 2 takes place over isn’t enough for Sarah to do a complete 180 and go from a teenager who acts younger than Clem and is extremely codependent on her father to a fully capable survivor, but goddamn. It would’ve been vindicating and painfully tragic in a way to have the proof in our hands that Sarah could have been a capable survivor (by succeeding in the areas Clem helped her in) if Carlos hadn’t stunted her development, even if she did die in the end because of the immense trauma of watching her father die right in front of her. If they ever decide to remake the series in the future, it’d be nice to have some actual player choices that matter and give us the ability to help Sarah survive.
Not gonna lie, my biggest pet peeve in Season 2 is how most of the grown arse adults basically rely on this 11 year old to fix most of their problems, get mad at her when she messes up, but then whenever its time to make actually important decisions its always "She's just a girl." And I don't think there's ever a option to have Clem tell them to *pick a damn lane!*
Agree im like dude why the hell does Clem have to do everything. You all are in on the same boat, so start working together and actually do something worth a damn. OH Clem we need you to steal some Radio's or Clem help and save Sarah stupid life, shut down the Wind turbine, do this do that. Seriously what is up with the Adult this season, i know Clem is way more competent then both Ben and Sarah combined. But can these adults not see the bigger picture that they are overlying on Clem to much. An when shit hits the fan one way or the other they blame her like when Kenny's new girlfriend got bit even if i don't cut her hand Kenny is still an ass to me.

The game trying to gaslight us into believing Kenny was some kind of unreliable madman when that sorry ass group got ALL of Kenny's new friends killed (Nick killing one of them) was the most frustrating thing about the game for me. If anything, I'm glad choosing Kenny was the "good" ending.

Kenny being literally traumatized back to back and losing people constantly and still absolutely carrying everyone but Clementine, and treated like a monster just because he’s reasonably tweaking at a time like this. Also the fact that Luke and Kenny weren’t the 2 choices by the end of Season 2 was such a missed opportunity nobody sane is picking to stick with Jane.
Yeah, apparently it was meant to be Luke and Kenny but Telltale killed him off because fans were getting kinda squicky and shipping Clem and Luke. Telltale firmly put the brakes on that shit.
@@jazerlewis309Yeah that's bullshit. There are weirdos out there, that's no excuse for shitty writing. They didn't use Luke because Telltale wanted a shock value death instead.
Pretty sure it was done on purpose. The group was wilding for treating Kenny like he some evil bastard or crash out mf(that he kinda is) and if you ultimately side with Kenny at the end you get some more depth for his character as well his him recognizing his flaws and short comings, shit was beautiful
This season would have been so much better if they just went with their original script. The season was supposed to be much darker and grittier than what we got. The characters from the 400 days DLC would have come back in episode 4 and met up with our group. The final showdown was also supposed to be between Luke and Kenny instead of being between Jane and Kenny. That could have actually been a tougher decision to make compared to the Kenny vs Jane ordeal. The only thing that I'm glad they changed was Kenny taking Carver's role and being the main antagonist of the story (although it would've been kinda cool ngl) and Clem dying from hypothermia at the end of the season. Also Troy was going to be more... seductive towards Clem and Rebecca in the original script so I'm glad they changed that😳.
If he had just followed up with 'she may have got infected blood on her bite' then the problem is solved, as a doctor he's a educated and reasoned man, there's ways of making someone overly cautious and also rational.
With sarah I mostly blame telltales for writing her like an idiot along with carlos. I get they wanted to do the parallel thing but it has no pay off since both carlos and sarah die so its like womp womp!
Thats my biggest issue with the season. I hate how everyone dies and had no character arcs. Its a real waste, I think sarah could have grew and luke should have stayed alive. Jane didnt have to be a psycho and kenny is done dirty in season 3 ( which im kinda happy about). Its just a real waste of the characters
@@Akain777 Facts like I love telltale games but when it comes to how they write or handle certain characters they just fall apart for some reason it's crazy.
Clementines age also makes their emotional dependency on her and her opinion of them extremely creepy. Season one, everyone saw Lee as a capable leader and an overall great guy so they valued his opinion an were hurt when they felt he wasn't supporting them. But Clementine is a child. Putting all your self confidence and emotional baggage on a child is just irresponsible and honestly, abusive. Berleezy was getting weird vibes from Luke because of his attachment to her and intense reaction when she did something he didn't agree with. It was so unsubtle to the point it came off as intentionally manipulative, like when you have dinner with Kenny instead of them. Constantly leaning on her to give her input on (or just soley make) choices made them seem clingy and unreliable. Everyone's dependence and attachment to Clem seems Parasitic and one-sided, so the final choice isn't who do I care about more, its who do I hate less. Clementine and AJ endings are the only endings I accept.
Wait, but its so weird that they thought that Carver would send a child after them, out of all the competent adults he would be able to pick from his group. They were tripping on that one.
It goes to show that Clementine is Lee’s daughter. I know she had a mother and father, but she doesn't even really talk about them anymore after season 1 and only really brings up Lee whenever she talks about parental figures. She acts way too much like Lee, especially when she’s older, and like akain said, she’s basically Lee 2.0.
39:00 If I remember correctly, in S1, when you have to choose between helping Kenny get rid of Larry or helping Lily, if you side with Lily, Kenny will be angry and mostly against you for the rest of the game. And I think having such a personality shift from just one choice (or maybe 2) can really hurt the players' perspective about a character. That's why I think a lot of people are so mixed about Kenny in S1, simply because you can have a version where he is by your side and support you, or one where he is simply unlikeable in any way. Now I might be wrong or partially wrong, since I haven't played or watched any TWS1 content in a while
I didn't even realize that and that is very interesting. I never really liked Kenny (and was frankly confused by how popular he is in the fanbase), but I actually sided with Lily when I first played the game and yeah, ever since then I felt like Kenny had this hidden agenda or unspoken criticism for any choice I made. After a while I stopped considering him at all cause it seemed like he was just determined to dislike me
@@j.a.4315he was just an a$shole, he wants undying loyalty from Lee because he expects Lee to care about his family more than everyone else in the group. I get why people hated Kenny in season 2, understandable.
Lots of people tend to hate on Season 3 because either Clementine isn’t the main character or not having enough screen time. Honestly season 2 always seemed the worst of all the seasons for me, a bunch of adults who are codependent on a child to do stuff. Kenny’s character is pretty much is ruined later in the game. He is fated to die unless you ditch him at Wellington. Christa is never brought back again.
With Christa, there is this huge plothole of the relationship between Clementine and Christa. After Omid's death, Clementine and Christa were with eachother surviving for 8 MONTHS! That's like as long as Clementine was with Lee. Yet there was no emotional connection at all within that time? I get Christa lost the baby, but what happened for them to be so disconnected with eachother. For surviving together for 8 months, Clem looked like she didn't give a crap about Christa. Why wasn't she concerned in looking for Christa after they separated? It's like after Omid's death, those 8 months never happened and they just wanted an excuse to update Clem's design. Was Christa mad at Clementine about Omid's death for THAT LONG?!
I actually liked this season till the 4th and 5th chapters, but the deaths later in the season were so weird and out of nowhere I just couldn't believe it. Luke was being built to be a major character and his death was so stupid I actually thought it was a fake out and he would just show up again later.
This season's only pros are that you get to see Clementine "grow up," albeit forcably due to the circumstances of the apocalypse, and playing the game through her perspective. In terms of the rest of the characters, a lot of them have been drinking that stupid juice, maybe aside from Pete, but he still sippin' when no one's lookin. The compound area you're imprisoned at was just a discount Governor plot from Rick Grimes' story, and I felt like it was back then, and still now. Sorry I was late big bro, work got me tired.
There's 6 things that Season 3 did right and Jane commiting rope neck was one of them even though it was absurd of the storyline. The other five are the rooftop scene, Lingard and Conrad being actual determinant characters, Javi falling off the jump after a speech, and Gabe's death.
The Video is spot on- but Arvin, Rebecca, and Calvin didn't have a triangle. It's heavily implied Rebecca was sexually assaulted by Calvin- which is part of the reason why Calvin has a creepy obsession with her and the child.

The biggest issue with this season was not justifying why Clem was used over actual adults so much. The only time it was SLIGHTLY justifiable is when they were trapped in carvers
Tbf. If you actually do have Kenny’s back through the entire first season. Kenny quite literally goes, “Lee, you were always there for me when I needed you most. What kind of friend would I be if I wasn’t there for you in your time of need?” Like literally basically word for word this is what he says. So while I can see why you hate him… I also can’t you know? Because in all honesty, Kenny is (in my opinion) one of the best characters because he has your back if you have his. No matter what. Literally. Not only that may, but another reason people like him so much is probably because he’s the closest you can get to an ordinary person like you or I reacting to the zombie outbreak. Trying to protect his family, losing them both, etc etc. Anyways. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk. Keep up the amazing work! You for sure have a new sub.
Personally, I’d rather have a ride or die that can communicate and negotiate ideas effectively instead of “go with my gut and punish you if you don’t have my back” People can have your back but still accept and work together to solve problems instead of bully others into submission. Alsoooo lowkey Kenny racist ass definitely beat Katja and/or Duck, y’all see how quick she called it quits as soon as Duck died? RIP the only ogs besides Clem and Lee. Honestly would have gone for a season 1 alternate ending where Clem and Lee, Katja and Duck get to Savannah steal a boat and survive.
This is why I ultimately side with Kenny in the Kenny v Lily debate for half of the season. Lily is more sensible but she really is only out for herself, and Kenny has bad ideas but is ride or die for you if you appeal to him. Lily is who I’d prefer as a leader, while Kenny is the guy I would rather be friends with. But I’m also one of the freaks who helped him smash Larry’s head in the locker, so it’s not like I’ve been faced with the brunt of his anger before. I also am a bit softer on him when he gets pissy with Lee, because most of the time when he throws a fit, he is on the constant edge of a mental breakdown. Him prior to losing Katjaa and Duck? Yeah that’s not cool and fuck him for that. Afterwards? I’m not even mad, I just feel sorry for him.
Once Kenny locks in as your BFF there is almost nothing you can do (save for burning orphans and widows alive) that he’ll object to. “I killed someone.” “Shit 😑. Well I got a shovel in the trunk. We better get diggin’, I guess.”
Everyone in this season is an asshole and the game constantly tries to guilt trip you over every desicion you make despite playing an 11 year old girl. The only good characters in this season were Alvin, Luke, Pete, Kenny and Carver was a cool villian I guess
Yeah Carver had some banger quotes. Thought this video made me think “This dudes kinda a goofball.”. I guess he’s better than the other telltale villains? (I haven’t played michonne or season 4)
I never accepted any one the dumbass adults’ apologies, but yeah, you’re pushed into forgiving all the backstabbing pieces of scum (Bonnie, Rebecca, Kenny, Nick)
Ngl, I do not know how Telltale wrote these characters. Read how they were written and told themselves "yeah, this is something real people would do and say." It was already hard enough being nice to Kenny because Clem would have no idea that he left her to be kidnapped in my playthrough for choosing not to be an absolute hog rider. It's not like I liked any of them in the first place, but oh my GOD! It was a chore hearing how these people behave towards a child. That's even with you just giving up bits and pieces.
A lot of stuff was cut. The devs didn't know what they wanted with each new character and how they would mold clementine's story considering they founded their golden goose with S1. You'll notice that once Kenny reappears, the S2 cast fades into the background and hardly get any original dialogue - other than them badmouthing Kenny 24/7 and by the time they escape Carver's, most of the S2 cast just keel over and die lol. Don't even get me started on Episode 4, one of *if not the WORST* Telltale episodes of their games in terms of storytelling and character development, and that shitty cliffhanger lmao.
Rooftop scene in Episode 5 of Season 3, Javi falling off a small jump after a whole ass speech and "You kept your promise to your father." Made From The Gallows better ngl
4:38 in case you planning to continue this season talk through, I'd like to remind that Clementine mentioned Christa's baby by referring these words 'not again not again' before Kenny and Jane fight in the last episode
The biggest issue with this season, besides interesting characters/plot points being sacrificed for shock value, is the fact that the writers completely forgot Clementine is a child. It makes sense for the player character in season 1, Lee, to make the big decisions and do dangerous stuff for the group, because he's an adult (& also the goat ofc). When Clementine had to take up that role, the creators just assumed they could write the story the same way. But the fact that Clem is 11 changes everything! Why are the adults constantly threatening her, putting all these burdens on her shoulders, and blaming her for everything?? It makes the plot so needlessly contrived, and almost every side character unlikeable! And I know this wasn't intentional on the writer's part because they try to guilt trip you for every "mistake" Clem makes, when really, the fault is on the adult characters of the story who made the little girl do everything for them. It's not tragic, it just feels nonsensical!
fax, it just ain't da same. Lee was a grown adult, story wise havin Clem be a yung trooper G helped raise a generation so there's something positive i suppose. season 3 felt good in that aspect where clem looked more believable to run things somewhat. telltale goated ofc still
The writing in this season was all over the place. They wrote Pete, who was a decent character, realized he was too rational and responsible and killed him off. Then were left with these other dumbasses until Kenny and his new group returned. They realized his group may have been too likable and rational and killed everyone except Kenny off, once again leaving us with these other dumbasses + Kenny, who also sucks but is marginally better + the remaining dumbasses from Carver’s group. And things just keep nosediving from there until the other only rational members of the remaining groups (Jane, maybe Mike?, maaaybe Luke) start making ass decisions, too. I just want to know what the writers were thinking and how they wanted anyone to take these unrealistic characters seriously.
Imo, Bonnie and Arvo are the worst characters. Bonnie because she’s two-faced and wishy-washy and tries so hard to seek approval from a 12 year old for some reason yet will betray her at the drop of a hat, and Arvo because the only remaining rational characters in the season lose brain cells whenever he’s involved. Like, He’s barely even a character, but he makes everyone except Kenny dumber for just existing in proximity of him. Everyone else except Kenny can be packed up in the “Useless, dumb, and/or complainy character” category, while Kenny gets his own category of “Writers go out of their way to try to vilify him but then for some reason absolve him at the end of the season or at the beginning of season 3 depending on your choices.”
Damn I miss the good ol' days of early Telltale games of Wallace and Gromit, Back to the Future and Tale of Monkey Island with with their fun and witty dialogue before it was all *"Depression this! Betrayal that!"*
@@jaredwalker3960 Season 1 of TWD was good though. Like the characters did get all Depression This, Betrayal That, but at least their descent into becoming unlikable felt realistic. Anyone would start going insane if placed in their situations. It’s just the seasons after where it’s like.. “well these characters have already been through everything so you get them at their worst and they don’t become better at any point.”
I won't lie, I'll snitch on myself like a former rap star, I only did that *once* because I was eating some Curry Chicken & White Rice and I did *not* want to pause the video. Plus, I can't trust anybody else in my house to wash the damn dishes. It's not a personal bias, I just get *visibly unnerved* whenever they miss a stain on one of the meat pots.
It's a shame how hard Season 2 fumbled the writing. They introduced so much pointless conflicts between the group for the sake of drama to the point that it just made them look incompetent
I remember once watching a video (it's called we don't about kenny by innudeduo studios) there's a line that I still remember and it's him saying kenny is clementines abusive stepfather and it has stuck with me. It kinda makes sense to me when you see how he acts towards her. Something else of noticed is that he always says clems right no matter if you choose to go with him or stay with him.
Yeah that last parts always been interesting to me. The only exception is when Sarita dies, he blames Clem no matter what. Except for that, hes ALWAYS on her side. She can change his mind immediately - even Lee was incapable of that. Hell, when Clementine SHOOTS HIM and KILLS HIM he says she did the *right thing.* Which, well, she did - hes crazy and dangerous but like damn.. Love him or hate him, Kenny is most definitely *interesting.*
Everyone was depending on Clementine so much even she, Luke, and Mike noticed 💀 (in episode 3 when everyone looks at Clem, she has the decision to say "why is it always me." And Luke looked flabbergasted.
YES, you explained perfectly why people love Kenny, and it's mostly because of this season! S2 puts Clem in a lose-lose & gloomy situation, and most of the time, the nostalgia factor of seeing Kenny again is what gets people to trust him far faster than the new characters that wanted to put Clem in a shed. Players forget about a lot of Kenny's flaws & almost blindly support him when his behavior isn't conducive to smart survival at all- he makes enemies too easily by constantly flying off the handle, & when he makes decisions without anyone else's input he expects you to support him 100% of the time. I don't hate the S2 cast as much as you do, and I definitely would pick Luke over Kenny if that were the final decision of the game, but it's easy to see how the game makes you cling onto Kenny as if we were thrust right back into Lee's shoes in S1 (even tho Kenny didn't care much for Clem at all).
I went into this video with pure intention to hate because I remembered playing season 2 and actually liking it… My whole world got ROCKED when you made so many points that I either overlooked or ignored mentally. Not only did you make me realize how SORRY s2 was but I was laughing legit so damn loud at every joke that was unleashed into my ear canal. thank you, have a blessed day.
I do find it disapointed that Rebecca and luke didnt even enjoy their freedom like everyone in that group freaking died. Man i kinda want some group to rewrite the entirety of season 2
Season 2 suffered from so many cuts and script changes, that it somewhat shows. Why did they replace Eddie with Arvo? Why did they cut Christa out of the story? Still my favorite though.
@@Akain777 nah fam, this group got Kenny’s ppl killed, got his eye knocked out, his gf bit, & then proceeded to treat him like HE was the loose cannon. Nahh fam, Kenny was all the way justified
It's pretty funny how insanely different Kenny is for people playing the first season. I remember watching someone play through the game, and Kenny was the fuckin man, he even, at the time presumably, sacrifices himself to save Lee. And then in this video, I hear about how Kenny just straight up ditches Lee because of like one disagreement
Kenny's biggest character flaw is his unwavering need for undying loyalty. It's something they could have built upon, having him go from a stubborn and rather dependent asshole to someone who's more open, accepting, and understanding of disagreements. If you don't agree with Kenny every step of the way or play too much of a middle man, he will straight up leave your ass to die without thinking twice about it. I remember in the drug store when the door falls on Lee, he literally will not help you depending on how you've played. It's quite ridiculous and a severe overreaction to what I believe stems from the player choosing to help Larry. I mean, he is less angry about you not saving his kid than he is about you trying to save Larry. It's crazy. I would've loved it if, by the end of the game, when you asked Kenny for help, even if you disagreed with Kenny about everything, he says something like "We may not agree much, but I know what that girl means to you and I know what it meant when I lost my boy." I can't believe the only other guy in the group who had a kid was willing to abandon Clem over ill will towards Lee. But in season 2, he never even contemplates this fact or apologizes to Clem.
@@TheSilentCheetah Yeah I agree, I think the focus from the devs was really trying to make playthroughs different, and a focal point seemed to be Kenny. Trying to show a different relationship between you and him based on your actions. And as much as I love the first season of TWD, they did kind of missed the mark with disagreeing with Kenny
In season 1 it made sense alot of characters dying because it's early days and they don’t have the skills, however 2 years later and no one should be getting caught out by walkers.
My problem with this game is is that Kenny is supposed to represent an abusive stepfather to Clementine. The problem is he’s barely abusive at all. He’s toxic at most. Episodes 4&5 Kenny is supposed to be the “Villain” but he’s more like an anti hero. Hell some people see him as a straight up hero like Lee despite being Toxic and unstable, many people still prefer him over Jane even if he is an asshole. And I honestly prefer Kenny over Jane also. I would rather be with someone who is slightly abusive that would sacrifice his life for me, that I know and trust, rather than some Manipulative Loner Woman who I’ve only known for three days who hides a baby in a car just approve a point, and who ends up killing herself and abandoning me and a baby.
Similar to how you felt about the season 1 group is how I feel about the season 2 group. I don't remember these people being so annoying but I guess I can see them differently now. Great video btw, can't wait to see more from you.
This whole group was nothing but a buncha F tier gaslighters, and I watched them die with so much glee. Always getting people into trouble and trying to blame others for something THEY caused. Always on Kenny's ass, calling him volatile like he didn't just suffer the most in the span of 2 days. Loses his base, loses his friend, loses his eye, loses his girl, and then gets ambushed by someone you spare and constantly getting poked and reprimanded about nothing.
Bruh this game had me pissed cuz Jane was easily the best character in this game and then the writers did the biggest character assassination I've ever seen, seriously whoever wrote that ending retire from writing forever lol
S2 is actually my favourite , but I really hate how all the cabin group dies ( I know AJ is alive but..) it’s like they kinda died for nothing and we didn’t really get any back stories on a lot of the cabin group I wish instead they made more dialogue and scenes about there past and give us a little more depth into the characters
The Environment Aspect, Character development of Clem and Kenny is the most remarkable thing of this season. That being said, the plot and other characters felt rushed, unnecessary deaths and forced decisions for the player hurt this season. Overall, Season 2 had the most potential and it wasn’t fully utilized.
You know what's the shittiest things about "choices" in these games, they don't matter, they'are just "unlock hidden dialogue" they still al die, why even bother to try to save them, if they will die anyway? Sarah it's the biggest flaw for me in this thing, like fuck you make her realize "girl i know your dad died, but he wouldn't want you to die, so get up your ass and survive for his name" and then 5 minutes she still dies because "an accident", i was that time like "really n....?"
Off-topic-ish but how do you feel about Kenny glazers that actually know more than just clazing and understand Kenny's ups and downs as someone who deep down is a good person but keeps lashing out due to his emotions?
This season has its ups and downs. The supporting cast is terrible while the setting, stakes, and villain especially are phenomenal. Carver does NOT get talked about enough in the best villain in fiction talk, he is clearly up there to me. I don't like the overdependence of clem in this season and how kost of the adults make childish decisions. I hate the amount of betrayal in this season but at the end of the day thats good writing to me, it makes me have strong emotions and opinions (which is the point of the game). The return of Kenny was one of the most hype moments in the game and I liked the environment for the most part. My favorite thing however was the pacing. The episodes didn't feel mind bogglingly long and felt like it was just the right amount of length to tell the story well.
Yeah the season would have been a lot better if we got more time and development with a lot of the characters. Its really strange to have everyone die before they can really do anything. Im starting to thing these seasons would have benefited from more episodes.
Just wanna say, that you have the personality, timing and humor to hit it big on this UA-cam thing. The edits too are great. Legit watching this only for the entertaining commentary.
Sarah was such a waste of a character. They really could have fleshed her out more if she was allowed to survive Season 2. However, knowing Telltale they would have just killed her in a flashback in Season 3 anyways :/
It's worth noting that the original team behind season 1 was more or less pushed out by the studio who forced changes and rewrites. I don't know why Telltale wouldn't just trust the team that made their most successful game to do their thing again but it really shows with the drop in quality. One thing I wish they had kept was a scene where Clementine's group was supposed to fight a tiger. Instead they had us fight a raccoon and lose 😭
I'm so mad I found this today and not 2 months from now. BRO ITS SO GOOD! I just wanna binge these videos all day, take my whole damn weekend. 10/10 Keep up the good work, love the edits!
For me top characters goes Clementine Kenny Lee Aj Lily Kenny just barely beats lee and aj is underrated when it comes to writing he has great depth and complexity
@@jaydenbeasty yh he does seem to hate him although he isn't wrong on kenny being unstable it doesn't make him a bad character he still is very well written
The worst part of the season is how almost every single adult looks to Clem for answers when something happens. Kenny does this as well but not to the same extent and he is even shown to be in the wrong for doing so while the rest of the group constantly asks Clementine what they should do about Kenny or the baby or literally anything and if she choses wrong, because she’s child, everyone blames her like she’s the actual leader.
Kenny is annoying AF Bro wouldn't stop complainin about everything Always blames clem and the others even Lee when helping kenny i know he lost His family But kenny should've move on when Ben snaps at kenny in the s1 e4 Not only clem lost her family even lee and they didn't give Up like kenny
In my honest opinion, Kenny was justified, but needed to be held accountable for his anger and actions. He needed to chill, but he was a good man in a bad situation
THANK GOD the kenny bandwagon is dying. i never understood his process of thinking, emotionally or mentally. his “ethics” or whatever type of “code” tht he we trying to convey with his friendship wit lee is SOOO one sided. the fact tht kenny felt like all HE had to do was hold his weight and thts it was beyond me. literally at the very beginning we literally chose to save his brain dead son from the walkers instead of hershel’s, then we have to save his son again when larry wants to throw him out at the drug store.. then a few scenes later when walkers raid the store kenny basically leaves us there to die after we helped EVERYONE else get out..
I really did hate how you were forced into sticking with this crappy bunch of people. Carlos was straight up trying to kill us with neglect, Rebecca was overly cutthroat until the plot just called for her to be a normal person, and no one would give any explanation for why Carver was a bad person and why they were running from him. "Because we had to" was such a frustrating line when i already barely care about this band of idiots and jerks

I’ve never thought about it like this , but it is kinda weird know I think about it

How anyone can pick that selfish bitch over Kenny is beyond me.
@@Tuas-animation-channel162exactly lol like what was her point
@DeadX2 FRR her logic was literally "if I piss off the guy enough he will snap, therefore he's the bad guy"
Wait, but its so weird that they thought that Carver would send a child after them, out of all the competent adults he would be able to pick from his group. They were tripping on that one.
I mean, given how they depend on her for the whole season they probably thought Carver was the exact same because they’re STUPID
Omids death was so stupid and pointless Clementine shouldn't have alone in the bathroom in the first place
Now I might be wrong or partially wrong, since I haven't played or watched any TWS1 content in a while
Yes, I don’t get why they made him like that. Or any character that gets mad at you for the whole game for one choice.
No you're absolutely correct, it's a strange decision.
Kenny will remember that.
Christa is never brought back again.
i always say this bro
@@enterusername6953 christa was with clementine for 16 months, and i read a wiki statitng lee and clementine were together for 4 years.

I actually liked this season till the 4th and 5th chapters, but the deaths later in the season were so weird and out of nowhere I just couldn't believe it. Luke was being built to be a major character and his death was so stupid I actually thought it was a fake out and he would just show up again later.
I know right they did him so dirty :(
This season's only pros are that you get to see Clementine "grow up," albeit forcably due to the circumstances of the apocalypse, and playing the game through her perspective.

Real talk, we shoulda known this season was gonna suck when Omid was killed in such a goofy way.

Nahhhh, don't forget, he also adds, "bitten or not, I'm with you always, Lee."
@@higharchbishopofteatasting6217 yeah! I forgot that!
Personally, I’d rather have a ride or die that can communicate and negotiate ideas effectively instead of “go with my gut and punish you if you don’t have my back”
People can have your back but still accept and work together to solve problems instead of bully others into submission.
“I killed someone.”
“Shit 😑. Well I got a shovel in the trunk. We better get diggin’, I guess.”

I can already predict how you're gonna feel about Luke's death. Same way everyone else did i'm sure, that's one thing everyone can agree on.
More common sense in general

In season 1 it made sense alot of characters dying because it's early days and they don’t have the skills, however 2 years later and no one should be getting caught out by walkers.
everyone's beefing with a kid bro 💀💀💀💀
For no reason 😂😂
Season 1 group was more competent, their problem was they were at eachother's throats
Yeah, that's true
Ain’t no way bro is saying Jane is better than Luke even without the season 3 suicide she is a psycho
Bro im so glad you're not a Kenny glazer, everyone i talk to about this game gets FLABBERGASTED when i mention not liking him.
I love kenny but yea he makes me wanting to kick his ass sometimes..
I find myself wishing that Rebecca and Clem got a more fleshed out relationship. Specifically because of Aj.
Yeah the season would have been a lot better if we got more time and development with a lot of the characters. Its really strange to have everyone die before they can really do anything. Im starting to thing these seasons would have benefited from more episodes.

Ayo, how'd you know I'm washin dishes wtf?
"Your lineage is doomed, I will not crumble under that burden." goes hard
It's worth noting that the original team behind season 1 was more or less pushed out by the studio who forced changes and rewrites. I don't know why Telltale wouldn't just trust the team that made their most successful game to do their thing again but it really shows with the drop in quality. One thing I wish they had kept was a scene where Clementine's group was supposed to fight a tiger. Instead they had us fight a raccoon and lose 😭

The worst part of the season is how almost every single adult looks to Clem for answers when something happens. Not only clem lost her family even lee and they didn't give Up like kenny
He’s a loose cannon and the equivalent of an abusive stepdad. Put ur emotions aside, he changed from who he was in s1
@@crispycharcoal9640 The abusive stepdad comparisons is the dumbest shit.
@@crispycharcoal9640 from scared Old guy to fucking badass that can kill to protect his family (clem)
In my honest opinion, Kenny was justified, but needed to be held accountable for his anger and actions. He needed to chill, but he was a good man in a bad situation
Literallyyyyyy
1:07:20 RIGHHT ?? That whole "wait another 4 months for the second part of season 2" bs made me drop the show lmaoooo.
Barely on the 4th season but damn, this video really made me rethink everything since season 1, with Kenny, outcomes, and the views from the character that I’m rethinking on restarting my playthrough. This video is amazing explaining season 2
Agreed
Ngl, looking back, the only thing surprising is that telltale didn’t go bankrupt sooner

Unless stated otherwise elsewhere, I always just assumed it was Pete kinda goin' "I was in Texas with my cousin, cousin got bit, chopped off the limb, he survived for a while after, I dipped to take care of my nephew/join Carver"
These people really be beefing with an 11-year-old.
Also, the final conflict should’ve been between Kenny and Luke.
