Could you vlog one of your days at Columbia? Or maybe one about the workload? Thank you! I also want to be a neuroscience major, and thought it was so cool to find someone who is actually doing it (at my dream school no less) !!
I love your videos so far and I’ve subbed! I’m in the Dual BA Program between Columbia and Trinity so I’ll be joining the class of 2022 in New York in two years. Your videos are so helpful in giving an insight into Columbia life!
Queen of Quirk That truly means so much to me, thank you! And congratulations!!!! Oh and do you have any video you would like me to make that will help you have more of an insight into life at Columbia? Even if it’s super specific. The more I can help the better! I hope to see you around campus in two years ;)
Gabriela Hernandez Thanks so much! I was planing on doing a video about college admissions, specifically going into what I did in high school, testing, common application, etc. Would you like a more specific video on just high school? And what do you mean by stats? I want to be as helpful as possible!
Hey I have a question! If possible please answer it would be so helpful! So I've lived in Los Angeles my whole life but I visit NY a lot bc my dad used to live there for a while. He went to Columbia back in the 80s and maybe its bc he went or maybe I just want to get as far from la as possible but Columbia is my dream college. One thing my dad always tells me though is that when he used to live on campus there were roaches and sometimes rats in the dorms, halls, bathrooms, etc. Now as much as I have wanted to go to Columbia since I was a little girl, that might just be a deal breaker for me... Now obviously that was ages ago so in your experience, have there been any incidents? For me, especially considering in la we don't have roaches and rats in the same way that NY does, it's a massive turn off and it might just make me change my mind. If you could reply that would be awesome!
Sablia Trogreen Hey! Thanks for your question. So okay. All college dorms are going to have issues with rats or cockroaches IF you’re like a dirty person lol. In my experience, the rooms with crumbs on the floor, smell weird, just have never been cleaned since move in day, etc are going to have roaches. If you are a clean person you’re going to be good. I have never had an incident where there has been a roach or rat in my room or any of my friend’s rooms or in any bathroom. Columbia’s bathrooms (for freshman dorms) get cleaned everyday except weekends. The task of cleaning your room is all up to you. So I would say: you should be good! I hope this helps! And please apply, I would love to see you around campus 😄
yejin Suh Yes you do! For freshman year, the dorms that have singles are wallach, hartley, furnald, and John Jay (the best dorm ever). I’m currently in a single right now in wallach (wallach and hartley have freshman, sophomores, and juniors).

Lola Williams Yes that’s what I meant by stats! I just wanted to know like what your grades were, extracurriculars, SAT or ACT scores! :)
Gabriela Hernandez Ok that’s perfect! Lookout for a video dedicated to just that in September! Turn on the notification bell 😄
What did you use to stick the pictures and etc?
hey do you think the room and board cost is worth it?
were you forced to move dorm halls?

How is the hostel there in Columbia university? Is it compulsory to stay in hostel or what ? Can you please clarify?
Do you get single dorm rooms in Columbia?
