Great idea Doug. However, if you want this to stand up like a pinwheel, you can adjust it a bit. First use a thicker wire, about 16 gauge. Make a loop on the end of the wire as you did, then a bead on the wire outside of spinner, through first spinner hole, another bead inside, a strip of soda straw on the wire inside, another bead inside, then out the back spinner hole and another bead on the outside. Make a small loop in the exit wire so that it goes straight out, loop up, back down next to the last bead. This will make it secure from slipping down the wire. Now you have a wire to stick in the ground or wherever and stay upright. Hope that's not too confusing. Thanks for your original idea.
I envision these hung on the rails of an old southern home, catching and sharing the glow from twinkle lights hing year round. ❤❤❤ Anywhere the wind blows and friends are welcome.
Thanks a million I was going to buy these but now I'm going to make them, Thanks again. Kids will really like the 12' Christmas train in the yard this year :-)
Great video. You have a great way of demonstrating ever point of this. I actually saw these on a First 48 show. There were 3 or 4 of them stacked on top of each other and looked great. Thank you for doing such a great job.
I absolutely love this. I have bought so many and they keep breaking or won't spin. My mom like to look at them through the window. She is going to love this... Me too. Thanks
La verdad es muy bueno ,que calidad ,quedó precioso, liviano. Eso se pone en algún palo que lo sostenga o como xq no se ve en el video ? Gracias x compartir 🙏la primera vez que lo veo, desde Argentina 🙋♀️
Hey Doug! Great name by the way! Your aluminum can art goes above and beyond anything I have seen before, they look beautiful in your yard in the other video, you need to put up a new one that's not out of focus, makes it a tad hard to see them, in any case, I just love the look of them, thank you for sharing Doug! What is the track playing in the background? My friend says it’s a rock remix of, Elton John’s “ Hold me closer tiny dancer. But I think not. Please settle this for us. Thank you, great video by the way.
Wish you put all the information for all the items you used as a link on here. I got one a few years ago from my father and the one I have took a lot of wear and tear from a bad wind storm few weeks ago now I want to make some.

I make reverberators using various sizes of aluminum cans. I play harmonicas and Dan Moi [jaw harp] through them.
