  • I am in love with these Chinese #boxturtles. These are the most stress free reptile I keep and it's amazing to see them thrive in this natural Enclosure.

I live in Michigan and kept my little guy out year round. Not much of a pellet eater, but they love their pinky mice.

That's crazy, I had the opposite problem and so has everyone else that I know that keeps them.

Do you line the bottom of the enclousure with anything to prevent dig outs?

I live in Oklahoma and didn't know how well they would do during the winter. Also do you worry about predators without a top on it?

It is insanely hard for a predator to eat turtles let alone box turtles. If you have babies or box turtle eggs, i would worry about thise

@@mvskokee918 well i guess so. You would think that when the shell spliters, it could choke and scratch the insides of em.

Hey my red tegu doesn’t lift himself up when he walks. The only thing I see online about this is metabolic bone disease. He has a uvb that I’ve been changing out. Get calcium and vitamins. His bedding is literally a copy from one of your videos. He’s in a 6x3. Any ideas what it could be or what I can do to help. I’m trying to get into a vet but there isn’t openings for weeks around me.

It could be compaction. Try giving him a warm soak to help get a bowl movement.

I am in china for supplier such box turtle, how to export to you?

  • @hoosier_turtles_and_tortoises

Not finding everything is a very common occurrence here and most places with large well planted enclosures. This means you’re doing right by the turtles. 🤙
