24:15 actually all % effects get both stats increased with each upgrade, so if at level 1 its 15% to apply 25 burn, and level 5 its 75% to apply 125 burn
If you break the resource nodes, the healing ones included respawn shortly after with a new set of different ones. You also get more resources the further into the wave of Alexi's so you can net ~250+ basic nodes and ~4+ of the rare.
I hope you noticed how much value that Wise ability gave your run. That +12% XP increase let you level up so much faster. It hurt when you skipped the uncommon one.
My best time to beat it is 10:22 the trick is cooldown stacking till you reach around 90% with Bloodrage, The devs did the terrible mistake of making it so a 100% cooldown reduction would lead to no cooldown at all. Also stand in the corner of the arena so you get mobs spawning at the border to instantly die.
The devs have changed this in the newest Alpha update (not yet on steam), where cooldown reduction has been changed with a linear scaling attack speed, same as in Path of Exile (+10% is +10% or 1.1 speed, and +100% is +100% or 2.0 speed, while 150% would be 2.5 speed, unlike the formula before, where 90% Cooldown reduction would be 10x speed. At the same time the devs changed Bloodlust to no longer have it affect it's own cooldown, and buffed corresponding attack speed increases from the previous numbers that Cooldown had to further balance this. The game feels a lot better with this implementation, even though the late game power is not as ridiculous (No more infinite Bloodlust stacking and 0 cooldown spells hitting 100 times a second and frying your pc).
I managed to do that earlier today, stacking a lot of cooldown with bloodrage and then I got the upgrade that buffs bloodrage's potency and suddenly 99% cooldown every buff and skill, except bloodrage, was constantly refreshing and bloodrage had a shorter cooldown than it's duration
I've found one of the strongest sets of spells for this character is Meteor Shower, Meteor, Poison Bomb, Poison Bolt, Fire Bolt. There are a lot of overlapping descriptors in that so whenever you roll an upgrade to a type it affects at least 2 and you can get a lot being affected as well.
15:50 that extra level that you got there, might have increased the area of effect, which is not displayed in the stats. it seems that most aoe spells alternate between more damage and increased aoe on lvl up.
@Sifd the straight damage buff gives diminishing returns, specific skill or category buffs give exponential returns for a quick heads up, tested that out yesterday.
Fiery Missiles are exploding projectiles so is same as meteor or thunder based on how much "mass" the enemy have it make them fly away some skill do knockback some explode and so on if you wanna truly see how broken they are you can stay in one corner with really low cooldown and larger area with double cast etc no enemy can come near you and with a lot of fire stack it burn them super quick :D This game has a lot of super interesting mechanics I just wish they had put endless mode on this demo since at half way it become trivial finish the run so you can't really push any build to the limit . P.S. Nothing happen to skill past level 10 it just get stronger ( once again I wish for endless mode to have some extra chance to push a skill to it's limit i only manage to get thunder clap at 13 with a whooping 25k+ crit with double cast etc alexi n5 died in 5 seconds )
Died a little inside when you skipped Vicious Strike. That 100% crit on first hit is how you clear the field of the small fries so you can focus on the boss. Also, I did your meme run on my own, arrows only with buffs is obscenely OP. I was putting so many DoT's on Alexi that it dies in a second. I think you need to try it again now that you know the game better.
Also been playing this game and fire mage was the strongest I made too, think I finished the 3rd level in 11 minutes and 30 seconds or something like that. Game super fun, hope the full version actually gets better and newer stuff. Btw exp gain from the level ups or the skill tree doesn't change anything, you end up every run between 49 and 52 regardless of the exp buffs you get.

Loving these videos Sifd, always quality content! I’m excited for you to get the warriors second weapon, it’s by far my favorite character/weapon to play with. My strongest build yet I got lucky and picked up the Crits apply bleed and bleeds apply poison. After that pick up Subdue, Thrust and alll of the poison spells you can find. Incredibly fun, insanely powerful and would love to see you try it. The icing on the cake would be if you’re lucky enough to get expose weakness again. Thanks again for the content and much love
Love your videos! If you stack cool down reduction till bloodlust overlaps itself, all your skills will start to go crazy. I had a full fire build like yours but all of the skills are at 0.3 sec cool down
before the 1st 10 levels any of the uncommon exp+ skills are worth it 100%, can really tell the difference late game, i usually stop at 50% bonus around level 20 if i can manage it, after 20 i dont bother with exp gains
I think the best way of implementing xp increase skills and diminished lvl progession is giving a -2%xp gain per level. So your max lvl will be 50 unless you take up +%xp. So whenever you take +4% xp you waste your current progession, but you slightly increase your progession pace and your max lvl.
With you talking about the skills and how high they can go, I just finished a run after avoiding the last alexi for as long as I dared, I got shadow bolt up to level 11. I was level 68 when I ended it. so there doesn't seem to be a skill cap aterallmy shadow bolt was causing 8945 damage of doom after 5 seconds, so needly to say it was fairly powerful. 4.6 cooldown and I think I was double casing it as well.
Thrust is actually one of the best skills in the game if you're going a melee build. I was lucky enough to get double cast twice early on in my run and was completely shredding enemies. Even the final level Alexi only took 10 seconds to kill.
I had a super lucky run with subdue (gives 20% fragile debuff) and got multiple double cast perks which meant that it fired 4 times, giving everyone 80% more damage taken. I was playing with the sentinel so the damage was astronomical.
Insane. The first hit crit thing too was good with your build cause it guarantees you get the debuff on the crit. At that point you pretty much always crit though, so its good to get rid of it right away.
I feel like this game has a chance to be truly good. I want the world to have challenges in it, places to go, bosses to beat where you get treasures... maybe quests? Like this could be a really good fun game with stuff do to where your pathing works.

Hey Sifd you can only get double cast for targeting type. Ex projectile, area, instant, ranged. You can't get it for damage types those only roll damage increase and area increases
tbh in the demo version of the game in its current state, you can completely skip any for of dmg reduction and movement speed. You get enough of that through talent tree. Hoping they soon add a hard mode with double boss spawns. Also like others have said if there is not a lot of great upgrades then exp gain is actually pretty damn good. doing 13-15 min runs abd getting to level 50 plus.
My fire run went way different to yours. I stacked spontaneous combustion and fire shield like mad. When Alexi appeared, just waited for fire shield and run through him for over 200 stacks of burn. Was fun af. Was sad I didn't get the double cast on it. Gg's.
I wasn't a big fan of fire pillar when trying to do a similar build. Just didn't seem like it was doing a whole lot. I ended up taking fire wall over fire pillar. Having a wall that just sat there and enemies would walk through seemed more consistent then a single pillar.
one of my best run was with the spellbreaker (melee guy) with the improved weapon and with all the melee abilities, there is one that deals more damage the more bleed stacks on enemy
Fire appears to be the only fully fleshed out build right now. A lot of skills seem like they only have 1 type. Like smite is the only holy skill and black hole is the only void skill.
I tried a version of your all buffs run earlier today, had a much better time with it, but I definitely think you are sleeping on the vicious strike ability (100% to crit on full health) if you have ever played Risk of Rain (1 or 2) it is the same ability as the crowbar in that game, fantastic for opening up enemies approaching you for massive debuffs right from the start of combat with them. This seems to have a similar value when you stack bleed on crit, doom on crit, stun on crit and others, very good for clearing the board when you are pushing through an area and trying to break contact with the boss by carving through trash mobs.
Agreed, he picked up the skill that adds on crit you have a 100% chance to apply the debuff that doubles the effect of other debuffs (iirc), centered a build around the burn debuff, and then ignored the ability to auto crit full health enemies. It was sad to see how much better this could have gone.
Ended up trying to do a similar build, managed to get Fire Pillar to lvl 11 and finished in 13:35. Hopefully on release levels in the ability do something.
I got the best run so far today it was the mage, with weapon upgrade. I focused on passives: the chance on hit to apply doom, chance on hit to apply slow, and chance on slow to apply damage increase. 12:44. it was so epic. for weapons i got all the bolt projectiles and the aoe thunder thing. but those didnt really matter firey missile did 12 mil damage at the end XD
I feel like taking Vicious Strikes the first time I see it just so I don't ever have to look at it again. edit: the dozen times it seems to pop up block choices I could have made also. edit edit: but in this playthrough, with your build, it would have triggered wounded(?) on the first hit of every enemy
Doom is the most broken ability in the game. I had an 11 minute clear. With mage ignis. 4 doom bolts. Each doing 8000dmg. Getting double by weakness. 64k dmg stacking every shot.

this is the visually most cluttered vampire survivor game I have seen. With all the numbers and effects, it is often impossible to see if the enemies are even still there.
burn seems unterwhelming tho its just a dot... fire need some sort of skill all if a burning enemy dies it explodes doing the remaining dmg to enemy arround :D so u basically can see some chain reactions of explosions :D
My first fire build everything was exploding all the time, the other fire build i did today it was lots of AoE, my fire wall was bigger then the boss line charge attack.
This game is pretty cool so far, but I don't think these types of games should slow down as time goes. Gaining levels less often just doesn't feel good. Either make it increase or stay the same.
I dont even like Fire Wall, honestly I think it should be replaced with Ring Of Fire. Just like your melee build, when Fire Wav goes off, at least a Ring Of Fire could protect you for a little. I wonder how OP that would be though. Let the devs know to include a Ring Of Fire please.
Can't wait until they release a more feature complete version, because out of all the magic survival's clones, this is the one that seems the most like a real game. The others are just boring, both visually, or in the case of Vampire Survivors sometimes painful to watch... Like Mannajja or Phieraggi.

For uncommon Wise, you actually need to get 25 level-ups after picking it up, for it to give you an extra level. Doesn't seem worth it imo

Those Devs have soulstone rogue, try that game as well, it looks really similar, and even have similar skills, but gameplay is vastly different

If you haven’t, once you have triple dash run into one of the bomb minions and then use all three dashes, its so much fun

Arcane weaver is just better with +15% more increased cooldown over warrior. Killed the last boss in 3-4 seconds with him.

My best time for all five bosses so far is 12:30 or so. They actually nerfed fire last night; the common burn skill was 15% chance.

Doom proc is officially the most OP stat. XD sub 13 min runs on all classes and its common.

Juust for the infomation, it hurts that, you dont relise, how good vicious strike is...... 100% crit on a full hp enemy as you run fire effect build? why didnt you pick this as the first, that would mean, you 100% apply burn on enemies on the first hit......
