Great video! I quite like the shots of the trees, as nature is very much integral to the flow of Remarque's novel as well. That, and Paul's last name being Bäumer. (Which, in German, "Bäume" means, "Trees") These shots give a sense of peace through the sliver that we get of it in the film... And they often show nature after soldiers die. Incredible video and breakdown, Barrett!
Pointing out the color shift just before the tanks was mind boggling. Definitely felt while watching the film and a genius approach. Great work as always!
You deserve more subs. This is an amazing breakdown. Very professionally presented. 6:03 The nature shots of the film also very much reminded me of Lubezki's work in The Revenant, which was actually my favourite film until I saw this masterpiece.
My favorite movie recently. It’s brilliant! This channel deserves way more subs, immediate subscribe from me. Keep up the good work. Would love you to review Mad Max Fury Road, my all time favorite.
