I will be wrapping up this project as it is but have plans for a few long term additions to it like a roof spoiler and other things, but those will wait until later.
Just a small upper "tail" type spoiler along with a tiny , below the window "flick" would look sick...or...a 3pc thin wraparound that "extended" both rear quarters from the taillights, upward, like an inch-1.5" extension, that blended into the top which itself, stuck out, and just _barely_ upwards.... think U or C shaped 3pc that literally extended the entire rear quarters and top lip of the hatch (as a tail) that looked like one piece.... maybe even starting flush at the lower taillights and extending further as you got further up to the top of hatch.... I know I've seen something I'm trying to describe on a vehicle before, just trying to think what the hell it was on lol.... maybe it was a Renault 5 Turbo hatch extension or something (nope, just checked, that spoiler goes around the top edge of the roof like 3pcs, I'm talking about just extending the _rear_ of the vehicle itself with a little lip...but I definitely seen it somewhere 😅)
The design is spot on! Transition lines between shapes ale subtle but distinguishable. It all fits so nicely! Panel gaps are perfect and surface finish is on another level. That is some long-term planning and you have so much patience and skill! Not only on the execution side but on the design also. Keep up the awesome work!
I built fiberglass boats for 35 years, it's funny how similar your methods are to the ones we used in r&d. I can say you absolutely do it right, not cutting corners. In one of your earlier videos there was discussion about wedges, something we would do on complex parts that had cutouts like a gas filler etc., Drill a hole in the cutout area, countersink it and scuff it, tape it off Cut a piece of 3/8" (9.5mm) copper tubing about 6" (150mm) long and flare the end. Slide this into the hole half-way, coat it with a bit of resin filler before sliding it down so it squishes out a bit with the flared end flush on the parts surface. Smooth it out, after it hardens just sand it and pull the tape, polish it. You end up with a copper tube opening into the part When you're ready to pull the part, just stick an airblower into the copper tube from the outside and it'll pop the part off without effort Idk if it helps here but it does make pulling parts easy
Thanks mate, a lot of the advice I've gotten over the years has been from boat builders, you guys are the masters at fiberglass. I've heard about all these tricks for air to release parts and I'll look into it in the future with larger parts like if I ever wanted to make a mould of a full front clip or a hard-top for my miata. But these small pieces pop out of their moulds almost too easily with that semi permanent release agent.
33:03 This is crazy, I think I would change the taillights too, I don't know why but it reminds me of some old BMWs, congrats, I can't describe how good it's looking
Woke up early on a sunday was anoyed at its 7am here in uk.... Made so much better by waking up to a tofu notification has juat made my weekend, keep. Constantly learning with every video... Thankyou
I just wet sanded and polished the headlights on my car, twice… put a layer of clear coat on after the first try and it went terribly wrong. Probably the wrong kind of clear and maybe too cold. The paint was cracked all over.I couldn’t leave it. So the next day I did it all again. The skin on some of my fingers are almost gone. But I’m very satisfied with my work, doing all the steps and getting a god result in the end. watching this episode reminded of how much I learned about sanding from channel. Thank you!
This thing is SO COOL!! It's been a long time coming, I hope you're as excited to put it together as we are to see you pushing closer to the finish line. The Sky-gea is truly amazing!!
Woke up at 3am here in the states and can’t sleep. Open my phone and booom tofu time!!! Amazing work, just amazing to watch the craftsmanship. Spot on!!
Hola Amigo, cada vez que veo tus videos me quedo loco con lo bien y la perfección que lo haces, muy profesional y que muy pocos lo hacen, Seguí así y muchos éxitos. Saludos de Argentina!!!
Oh gawd i feel the emptiness coming in few months. I guess you could make the hood/bonnet rear corners longer to follow the a-pillar and front fender/wing contour a bit nicer. Only if theres room for wipers/windshield/a-pillar. Also, this kit in CF would be 😍. Great work as always!
I’m always blown away by your work. But a thought just occurred to me, not only are you working on the Stagea but youre running your own business at the same time and editing these videos too. You’re a hard working man! One question, do you sleep? 😂
You ever see like a masterfully done tattoo and you're like "this is so incredibly done The artistry the execution absolutely fantastic" but it's like a tattoo of a goat banging a carrot. That is sort of how I feel about this car project.
Looks great!! Looking forward to a sick paint job!!! Also, have you given any thought to the interior? To give it a bit of that SEMA feel??? All the best!
Nice, but i thought you will leave them without paint... the car could use that thou, welding the holes in the door, and the rear quarter.... and one more, question, do you plan on upgrading the suspension/drivetrain?

Well then looks like I have to wait 😊
It’s going to be incredible seeing these in the wild.
Tofu auto works
80% sanding
20% magic
Only 80%?
The magic lies within the sanding 🧙♂️
Roof spoiler please, master craftsman at work

@@TofuAutoWorks #spoilers XD i was wondering about that...... and the tail end of the car. looking good Dude!

This kit makes me want to buy one just to stick the kit on!!!!

Molto bello!! A mio gusto però troverei una leggera soluzione aerodinamica anche per la parte superiore del portellone posteriore.

Wataru Kato would be proud of your work.
Great job !! Love the whole project .... 💪
Still this is one of the coolest builds ever 🎉
Just 30 seconds in but just standing there like this... she's a beauty!!!
Even the sheep said its looking good. Cant wait to see it once the car is fully painted
Looking SO good!!! Amazing effort and skillset 👏
so little bodywork needed is a testament to how well you made your kit... amazing work as always
GOODNESS! That. Is. Awesome! I can't wait to see it painted. I hope it gets a front splitter and spoiler too. Well done and congratulations!
This man has an unhealty obsession with sanding! Sheez... But his attention to detail is second to none!
The B-roll with the noises from the country side, the gravel driveway, everything just squeals Forza Horizon
Have you thought about adding some sort of spoiler to the upper portion of the liftgate?
IVe been watching this guy for awhile now. and ive never heard him make a noise ever. but that low spot at 8:15
Watching this was like medication to my mental health.. feeling ready to accepting monday
Это реально очень круто. Мужик ты Красава 👍 .
Машина смотрится очень интересно, и вызывающе. Без внимания на дороге она не останется.
Жму руку 🤝
The right colour is going to set this car off!
Dang all your parts always come out looking amazing you definitely have mastered fiberglass can’t wait tell you start doing carbon fiber!
Your attention to all of the details is on another level! Love how this project is turning out and looking forward to the finished product
Hi; This Wagon needs a back wing and a beautiful paintwork. Go the extreme because its worth it. Top master craftsmanship Tofu.
Stunning and beautifully well crafted, how I wish it were mine... paired with those wheels, makes it a complete package!

Best ASMR channel on youtube🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Perfect, just got home from work (9am UK), time to watch!
You must of worked a terrible shift
Unreal work as always mate! I can see why everyone is saying it needs a spoiler. final piece of the puzzle I reckon!
I'm so ready to see this thing painted
Can't wait to see it in the final colour!

Just watching all this sanding is making my back hurt. You must have an amazing chiropractor!
“With no more moulds to make I don’t know what to do…”
Time to find a VR38DETT and get a big tin of Bayside Blue
Really clean build! Can't wait to see it painted
Just needs an epic spoiler. Good work!
Looks fantastic! All that hard work paid off!
お疲れ様です!

Looks so clean!
Epic! I’d love to see a little wing or lip off the top of the boot/trunk hatch
Just beautiful sir
Tofu master adds putty to a part I thought was finished 6 parts ago. Here we go again. 😉
Can’t wait to see the results. Love your project, mate

Those parts look sooo nice.
Stunning , I’m hoping you choose midnight purple or millennium jade 😎
Beautiful car good job

This epic build better end up an epic colour like Midnight Purple or Millennium Jade 😅
Super!!!!! 👍👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥🔥

ATBGE (awful taste but great execution) haha. These strange builds are kinda my whole deal. Making cars that everybody likes is boring.
это выглядит нереально круто!!
support from indonesia , sucses bro✨
I had someone ask me once why I was sanding perfectly smooth paint . I had to explain to them that if I didn't the new paint would just fall off .
any plans on a spoiler for the rear. i think a mid spoiler and a BIG WANG would suit it so well
amazing job, when will the hood latch area get some love?
Looks great!! Looking forward to a sick paint job!!!
Also, have you given any thought to the interior? To give it a bit of that SEMA feel???
All the best!
To realy complete this I think you need to do the 4 door handles from GTR🔥🔥🔥
Lookin mean in grey 👍
Hell yeah ❤
Nice, but i thought you will leave them without paint... the car could use that thou, welding the holes in the door, and the rear quarter.... and one more, question, do you plan on upgrading the suspension/drivetrain?
YO! thats nice
It looks nice but i thing it needs a wing or a Spoiler in the end 😊
Looks aweosme. What colour will you be painting the car? Midnight purple?
Sick. However imo I think it's missing a roof spoiler to finish it off 👌
Big day!
maybe you can do the gtr style taillights on the back and rear bumper
very very nice :)
Are you going to change the side mirrors too with GT-R ones to fit more with the new look?
