wow for power that was quite embarrassing.
For a non fighter, at least he was willing to go. But the extra curricular rough stuff isn't Power's strong suit.
@@csolivais1979 willing to go would be dropping the gloves and throwing some punches not dropping to ur knees and holding on for dear life
@csolivais1979 he wasn't willing to go he went on his knees begging miller not to bounce his head off the canvas.
It's simple miller would have clocked this kid really bad. Miller can really fight.
yea if he was gonna do that let couzins fight him.
if youre going to step up for a teammate, dont try to wrestle lmao
He didn't want the hands if we being honest
Lmao buffalos the softest team
WATCHA GONNA DO BROTHER!
He shoulda let cozens step in
@@papahenry744 lmao cozens knows hes not a fighter after getting wreckeddd 🤣🤣🤣
Miller is such a monster, if only he was a career Ranger. I still will never know why NYR included him in the McDonagh deal
IIRC, he didn't take his career that seriously in New York, partied/drank a bit too much. I could be wrong
They couldn’t pay him
yeah, I remember when he was a 2nd liner on the Ranger's.. what were they thinking.
@@JHockeyFanthat would be Hayes not Miller
@@BKHockeyTalk I heard that Miller also didn't take his career seriously enough in New York, got complacent
Power came in without Power.
That was so embarrassing for power, and miller knew it, which is why he didn't even throw a punch.
yea but at least he tried, Cozens was trying to get in there first but Power was like I got this lmao
Point that’s missed here is how Miller shows respect to Sabres player by not punching when he clearly could have tuned that kid up. Need more of that in this league. Too many so called tough guys these days jump on kids that are clearly out of their weight class and take advantage of the situation. Miller showed class.
Power might need some lessons on fighting
fr, especially when Cozens is right there also ready to go and he can throw 'em
He got b1tched
I don’t think he was trying to actually fight. I think Miller just assumed he was trying to fight.
Not sure Power is the guy you want fighting, think there might be cheaper "options"....(!)
i love how cole just pulls the other player by the shirt collar so effortlessly
haha yea and i like zadorov coming from behind couzins n holding him. couzins was about to go in but turned his head too see who was holding him and had 2nd thoughts hahaha
@@Anticipat0rseemed he learned his lesson after the last time he got pumped lol.
The guy is like 230-235lbs. Canucks D is a bunch of big heavy boys. Myers 6’8 220, Zadorov 6’7 220, Soucy 6’6 230, Cole 6’2 230 and then Hronek and Hughes.
@@Captain.Dingus I’m aware of all of this. What was your point? Do you know what I was saying? I made a very clear point about Cozens, if you follow the NHL at all you know the exact interview I’m talking about.
@@MachoManAndySavage125Why are you so sure he's replying to you? He could be replying to the original commenter which I think he was.
I don’t know if I like the elbowing call. Check to the head, sure. Maybe even 5 for it but it looked like he kept his elbow tucked to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It was there way of saying it was a clean hit that had a bad result since dahlin put his head down
A 5 for a clean hit? Weird.
@@kevvymetal666it would be 5 and game if a major penalty is held up after review. You can have a minor for check to the head if the head is principal point of contact but not targeted. The shoulder went straight into the face but wasn’t targeting the head so minor penalty yes. Elbowing no.
@@geoffselby6260 there is no minor penalty that's related to head shots in the NHL. Your choices are: Tripping, hooking, boarding, spearing, slashing, roughing, holding, high sticking, elbowing and charging.
@@kjo14 and meanwhile that shoulder to Bedards face was nothing... The NHL is nothing but inconsistent.
this was...one of the more interesting bouts of fighting this year. might not even be fighting. might just be rough housing or horseplay
Watch in slow-mo....hit to chest and chin with shoulder, no elbow at all. Unfortunately, Dahlin lowers his body to I think get around the ref and reach for the puck. No penalty, just unfortunate.
Edit: Grammar
Isn't a shoulder to the head still a head shot? But the refs gave a elbowing penalty. In all the replays, it was clearly the shoulder. LOL.
@@sucraf1 Its definitely a head shot but his head is down and lower than normal. Unfortunate timing as he put himself (thanks to ref) into a vulnerable position. JT did nothing wrong - didnt jump and entire arm connected to his body...shit happens, unluky. Entire Sabers team cried about it after they did a lot more scummy shit throughout game and left our goal scorer with stiches...on his face....
i like zadorov coming from behind couzins n holding him. couzins was about to go in but turned his head too see who was holding him and had 2nd thoughts hahaha
He was gonna jump in cause his teammate was too puss to throw punches
What? That never happened…
Not to mention that zadorov is a great hitter but an absolutely ATROCIOUS fighter. He can’t even punch properly 😂
0.13 it did happen 🫡, there's these professionals called optometrist, should check them out, you may bennifit from one.. multiple replays showing he did stop him 😂💀.
@@buttkick22he will just lean dudes you and they go down , he fights like lurch
Tf was Owen Power doing? You’re 6’6 dude, stand up and fight.
Owen Nopower.
when are players going to defend themselves? Dahlin has to know Miller is coming yet pokes for the puck and bets on Miller doing a flyby instead of finishing his check. Dahlin could have kept skating and leaned into Miller but instead made the choice to become vulnerable.
Skating where? The ref made an excellent blocking play.
I absolutely hate when there is a clean hit and the other team feels need to fight. Should always get 5 minutes
Clean stance leaning into the hit, just a bit too far to the right made contact with the head. + bonus ref ruffage. Miller's the complete player.
Lol ref ruffage
Should that not be 2 and 4 roughing and roughing + elbowing?
So many comments here think shoulder to the head isnt a penalty lmao.
It’s not if there’s no targeting. For a body check to be an illegal check to the head, there needs to be targeting (ie. A clip or a down to up motion etc) and the principal point of contact.
Miller would have destroyed him. I guess he figured powers embarrassed himself enough with that grade school wrestling.
This is predatory and hitting the head first. With an elbow....
Miller is this generations Gordie Howe
I'm surprised the NHL didn't cry but they still have time. Typically, it's a clean hit but his shoulder did get his head.. which used to be fine. He probably got away with it because Miller isn't a dirty player, but hope Dahlin is okay,
The league needs to get rid of those shoulder pads.
Owen power is weak af
Well yah that's a boy vs a man...
@kjo14 then don't engage. Let dylan cousins fight cause he actually can. You just let this guy destroy your teammate with no repercussions
@@kjo1421 yr old is a boy? He should stick to ohl or something.
@@Nickh4929 no argument here.
@@Nickh4929Miller fought a 2nd time for this hit later in the game though he still won.
Miller drops his gloves and only gets 2 minutes wtffffff
Not Miller's fault that Power has cement in his mitts
That was a good clean hit anyone saying otherwise is just fooling themselves... Torts was right no one can take a hit anymore and its sad as hell
He hit him directly in the head lol
@@tompy3738 No he didn't but nice try
@@tompy3738definitely not. If you think the head was the principle point of contact, you’re blind.

@@tompy3738 Only one delusional here is you perhaps get an eye exam...
Obvious shoulder cap to the face. Not sure what some people are seeing. Power should be ashamed of himself, as should these homer announcers and the officials.
2 mins for elbowing to the hip
This is a poor title. The hit was not high. Dahlin dropped his head to reach for the puck. Give dahlin a penalty for head butting haha
Barely a minor penalty... it was to the head because Dahlin's head was down, not protecting himself. This reviewing for a major every time a player leaves with injury is getting ridiculous. And what kind of wrestling attempt was that lmao
Power is an embarrassment
How many jaws or heads need to get hit before head contact becomes a penalty? We had it as kids. Shoot, it was hyper aggressive as kids. 10 minute misconduct for incidental head contact. And the periods were 15 minutes at most. It's unacceptable for kids and teens but as soon as you were in juniors, suddenly it ain't so bad? I don't get it. Someone gotta nearly die again for us to have more protections in place? Shoot we've already had someone die and the NHL hasn't mandated neckguards yet either. Really frustrating to see a distinct lack of care for player safety. What part of "we shouldn't hit people in the head" is so hard to grasp?
That was a clean hit through the body not to the head
Exactly. These kids don’t even expect to get hit anymore it’s ridiculous. Skate into the corner with head down and that’s what you get. The ref got hit just as hard be he was ready for it.
@@rayanomar4832 You know, I'd agree if I didn't see him get hit in the head. Video pretty clearly shows that.
@@sirminty8495then you’re blind. Just because the head is hit, doesn’t mean it was the principle point of contact. It wasn’t. Principle point of contact was forearm to forearm. Dahlin reaching for the puck and lowering his head in the process is what caused his head to make contact with millers shoulder. If anything, dahlin should get a penalty for head butting. Lol. The reality is that it was a clean hit with an unfortunate outcome.
@@roblockhart8410 One can hit someone with their head down without hitting their head. You get taught pretty darn well not to in youth hockey because it gives you a 10 minute penalty but by all means it's fine if you make head contact just make sure the part of you that hits his body hits first then you can drive that shoulder right into their jaw no problem. What part of "incidental" did you not understand? Didn't bloody matter if I hit all of his chest and shoulder if my shoulder ends up in his face. That's a 10 minute. And you can't say "oh well that just discourages hitting then and it's weak and you should expect it to be hard." No bruv. That's not what the youth leagues wanted to teach. Hell I never had a coach who didn't expressly say "Get low, get your shoulder at chest level no matter what. Do not hit the head. Do not give it a chance to hit the head. Stay. Low. You get their chest or gut you can drop them just as easily. Never aim for someone's head." But nah, if their head is down it's free game innit? Just take his jaw off. That's fine. Like I said. We've literally had someone die and they haven't touched neckguard rules. How many folks need concussions before head contact is policed better? Head hits are unnecessary and one can avoid the head entirely with changing one's hitting habits. And there's no better way to teach someone than suspensions and penalties.
Owen Power looks like a deer on ice lmao
Powerless
Easy suspension.

Yeeeee Miller🎉
This is a metabolism killer
meh, don't see how it was an elbow since he kept it in his side
JT Miller took out two #1 overall defensemen like he had two consecutive picks in a hockey pool. Now he has to sit and wait until it's his turn again but that darned Huggy always steals his picks just before he gets a chance to choose.
Lol powers
Good hockey play with player trying not to kill the ref
Illegal check to the head. I've seen that given for less. But, hey, you get whatever you get on any given night in the NHL.
Eh he got a penalty, Greenway made a hit to Lafferty's head that got him some stitches uncalled after the play he scored on.
@@CozyToad Like I said, you get what you get.
Dahlin is a bust.

Clean hit. Would’ve liked to see Miller get the 12-6 elbows going on Power while he was sitting on his knees trying to wrestle.
NHL the no hitting league!!! watering down sports...no fighting anymore,or a lot less then before pretty soon we will have almost no hitting....sad,part of the game...
Title should be Dahlin gets hit identical to Bedard.
It was a high hit and I'm a Canucks fan but that looked like head targeting to me.
People are delusional for thinking this is a clean hit lol. Canucks fans are like too scared to admit it or something. At least I can admit when my team makes an unfavorable play. I guess not everyone can see the sport objectively though. Oh well. I know I'm right lol
