I always thought it was ironic, as he's Italian, and that The Good, The Bad and the Ugly was a Spaghetti western, using the landscape of Italy. Such an amazing performance which always gives me goosebumps. I would pay good money to travel to see them as they are fantastic
The first part is the Main Title of the movie "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly". The second part is from the climax of the movie, titled "L'estasi dell'oro" (the ecstasy of gold). Composed by Ennio Morricone. Thing is, the spaghetti westerns were cheap, and Morricone didn't had a high budget to work with and hire many musicians, so the instrumentation was simple with whatever he was able to get. Singers (who could also whistle well), a single flute, and an electric guitar were easy to get, also a small string quartet, and maybe one or two brass instruments. When they arranged for this orchestra, they expanded greatly on the sections that Morricone didn't had: a full set of strings, full brass sections etc. And having 80 people playing together makes it incredibly richer (it's also something that you cannot imitate with electronic synths, because humans are complex beings, and them playing together is a chaotic system with each human trying to control a chaos, and this complexity cannot be simulated. Not right now, and maybe never). If you are interested in film music, look out for Jerry Goldsmith. He was one of the best composers of film music who ever lived. This orchestra here performed the end titles from the movie Gremlins 2 that Goldsmith composed, and it's one of my favorites (ua-cam.com/video/3yxxSU0nw64/v-deo.html )
This here is another great performance by the Danish National Orchestra. It's from the original "Planet of the Apes" from 1968, again composed by Jerry Goldsmith, and they really need to work HARD to get this performed. ua-cam.com/video/PAeR6e9ZnWk/v-deo.html
Ennio is good but the greatest is John Williams (Star Wars, Schindlers List, ET, Jaws, Harry Potter....). He is the second-most nominated Oscar nominee, after Walt Disney, A true genius, but the vast majority of people have never heard his name.
First time I heard this I cried. 60 year old man and I was just so amazed that talented human beings could come together and do something this beautiful! I don’t have much musical talent but I can appreciate greatness when I hear it.❤️❤️
🇨🇦 The Danish National Symphony Orchestra consists of over 70 Choir members and over 100 Musicians ! Look for them again from their 2006 outdoor concert with special Guests, Procol Harum playing "A Whiter Shade of Pale" ! 🇨🇦
I seen someone else comment in another reaction that the man hanging had forget to turn his cell phone off during the performance 😂 but obviously for those that really dont know it’s an ode to the storyline from the movie.
This video is from one of this orchestra's live performances. The music played here is actually two pieces from the movie, the first being is the Opening score, the second piece is called the ecstasy of gold sequence where Tuco finds the cemetery where the gold is hidden. What also makes this an iconic video is that the Orchestra is Danish, playing music composed by an Italian, and conducted by an Japanese-American. Truly an international flavor here as well. Oh and as usual I am tearing up listening to this, this performance seems to truly touch me deep in my soul and triggers an emotional response. I would love to see you react to Queen Bohemian Rhapsody. It is an amazing video itself done back when there was no such thing as auto tune. You will truly appreciate who Freddie Mercury was. Just to give you a little bit of info on the song itself, it is 3 songs that Freddie could not write the finishes for so he decided to combine them and create bridges throughout the song. The full version is rather long but so much worth it. I look forward to seeing your reaction to it.
Hi. There's 3 shifts in that song, good, bad, ugly, shifts, if you watch the movie, its up on UA-cam, its the same way played out, they go through good parts bad parts and ugly parts ,greatest Western ever produced 3,hours and 15 minutes long un cut version. And best ever orcastraded song, im 65 and still watch that movie, its on my watch list. Ok I'll talk all night 🌙 😅 but hope you enjoy have a great day Saskatchewan 😊.
Love this performance! The Danish National Symphony Orchestra really brought two of Ennio Morricone's masterpieces to life. May I suggest you listen to the DNSO's performance of "Across the Stars"? Just a gorgeous rendition of that song.
I'm sorry but I don't know where you get the idea that she's "backing up" the harmonica, if anything it's the other way around. Tuva's voice is clearly the primary musical element at that point in the piece. You can barely hear the harmonica and it only adds a subtle background resonance. I would describe the harmonica as more of an accompaniment with her voice, not as the main musical component.
The second song of the two played, is a very important part of the movie. When you watch the movie and connect the two parts, then watch this video again, you will always see in your mind Tuco running and finding what he is looking for.
Worth listening to is the cover by The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain..a nice and interesting take on this classic. . This performance is actually two songs from the movie...the second part is called 'The Ectasy of Gold'...played toward the end of the movie. BTW....if you aren't familiar with the movie, haven't seen it...treat yourself to a watch. Great story and actors. That hanging man is a reference to this movie. . I like your dogs.
You dont know the movie - the "guy hanging out" in a hangmans noose is from the main character Clint Eastwood played in the movie, if you know you know, but not having seen the movie leaves you clueless. This is one of the most unique and memorable movie scores to ever be written and performed and this is a first class and beautifully executed performance of it. Anyone from the era of the movie knows immediately what this is.
On a side note . . . . the beginning of the Movie featured Clint Eastwood turning in his partner Eli Wallich to a sheriff for a reward and then saving Eli as he was being hung (by shooting the rope) and both getting away. Over and over and over !!! Hench the hanging effigy !!
It will help if you see the opening scenes of "The good, the bad, and the ugly". An Italian made 'western'. Yes, they made several of them. With Clint Eastwood as the hero. And Ennio Morricone composed the music.
You would love reacting to Procol Harum's (Whiter Shade Of Pale) Live with the Danish National Symphony. The group's lead singer Gary Brooker..RIP. Procol is Gary's band and main song writer..he was 60 yrs old in this show and still sounds like he did in the 60'/70's.
Volbeat - Die to live ft. Neil Fallon ... Also from Denmark, and if you like to smile, laugh and want a treat for bouth your eyes and soul, a garentie that it does not get anny better ❤
Watch other live broadcasts from this concert showcasing Morricone's other "Spaghetti Western" film music, eg: Once Upon a Time in the West, A Fistful of Dollars, etc 🙂
The Danish National Symphony Orchestra has played a list if movie scores that is mind-blowing and the two women who voiced the parts have them most beautiful voices. Check it out! Enjoy!
The “Wua Wua” is the Coyote’s call “sound”… all the original elements inserted into this “western” movie score and others from the same author (like also the Electric Guitar or even the sound produced by normal objects) were both modern and original for the that time. That’s was revolutionary… etc…
I suppose it's better than Hannibal Lector eating your liver with some fava beans and a nice bottle of chianti. By the way, the way Anthony Hopkins pronounced "chianti" in the movie wasn't a mistake. His character was mocking Clarice's accent.
Absolutely wonderful.....I would also love for you to listen to Lara Fabian..anything from her concert From Lara with Love..Je Suis Malade (I'm Sick) Make sure the words are there the story she tells..wow!! first words she says I don't dream anymore... Adagio she holds the longest note I've ever heard..will make you cheer at the ending..You're Not From Here will make you cry..Caruso makes you sob...Broken Vow..woah tears your heart out...Broken heart song..ANYTHING she sings is fabulous don't miss out on this wonderful singer...I am a new follower..☺
Enjoyed your reaction. I can't help myself I'm curious about your living room and displays. I suppose I should scour your videos for clues but I thought I'd just ask. Your couch/loveseat is amazing and seems to suit Leroy very well too :). But all the things in your room are a very interesting collection indeed. What's the story?

So you reacted to an orchestral work without knowing who wrote it. Or when. Or why. You probably don’t know that this is a medley of two songs. The point is, Failing to do even a _minute_ of basic research is very, very disrespectful of the people who make great art for us. Please learn from this, it will help you (and all of your audience) greatly. Good luck.
the composer was ennio morricone and it stated from the beginning , you should check out THE MISSION sound track done by ennio morricone a genious he did 500 musical scores .
The composer is Ennio Morricone
The Legendary !!! 🤔✌️ Enjoy

It was filmed in Spain, Italy and Germany.

You and everyone else that has heard it I think 👌
Originally by Ennio Morricone , and used as part of the soundtrack for one of the greatest Spaghetti Westerns ever.
THE Best Western ever made!
The great ENNIO MORRICONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love me some Danish Symphony Orchestra, Tuva Semmingsen (The Wa Wa girl) is a human synthesizer. 😊

Ennio Morricone, the second greatest movie score composer ever. And that's arguable, too.

Great music!!! Iconic. 😁
The whistling lady is Tuva Semmingsen, a fantastic mezzosoprano. Check out her singing other stuff on youtube.
You are right! Just beautiful! Their voices are so beautiful!
Tuva has a very good voice, and cool earrings.
When you watch a movie you don't realize what it take to guide you emotions through it.
I seen someone else comment in another reaction that the man hanging had forget to turn his cell phone off during the performance 😂 but obviously for those that really dont know it’s an ode to the storyline from the movie.
I heard that the man who was hung was a member or the orchestra who turned up late for the performance🤣🤣
Well done with your whistling. Love your friends reaction.

Most dont consider the human voice is also an instrument when it comes to this kind of high production value especially

The hanging man was a musician who played out of tune during rehearsal. The Danes are very strict about that.
