I was in a game as Ray, it was Plant the bomb. We lost 3-2, I got a score of zero because every single time I spawned I was one-shot within seconds of spawning. Their Blitz got 8 kills and probably didn't leave his spawn. Fun and Engaging
The best use for arty I have found is when you are hunkered down behind objects and the enemy has no idea you are there. Either they never spotted you or busy fighting. You can lob over the top and they don't know where it is coming from. If you cam out and fired your gun, you get spotted and the dmg would be directional, giving up where it came from. This is one of the more complicated tanks I think. You have to have map awareness, quick aim reflexes, know weak armor points without help from the reticles color imagery. The most important thing is being able to read the flow of the battle so you can be close to contribute, without being the center of attention. Pretty big ask when you are juggling everything else.

Blitz is the new Chopper with that TV missile, in Bomb defuse it can straight up shoot its missile from spawn and one shot crit any support tanks on the move, specially Ray since that vehicle has zero armor
Agree that Blitz's arta placement feels a bit difficult at the moment. Titan's B-52 run feels better due to its higher angle, much easier to be precise with it. BTW I think she might called Blitz possibly for two reasons -- 1. the German bombing campaign on the UK in WW2 was called the Blitz and she's all about airborne bombardment. 2. this agent is a German scientist, and there's a term in German that's often used with inventors etc. - 'Geistesblitz', which roughly translates to mental lightning strike and describes a genius leap of intuition/ideation.
I got Blitz to 10. Love the tank and love the TV missile. Artillery definitely needs work. I barely use it given how impractical the aiming system is. It needs an over the top or higher view , making it almost 2d would work as well, then I'd see the point of all those Arty upgrades. I will say the TV missile needs a 45 seconds cooldown at the start of the match, because it's just dumb how you can scout the enemy spawn and deal some free damage straight up. It was the same with Chopper's AC130 and that got removed. Hopefully the missile will remain, because Blitz needs it. The EMP is pretty much useless. It needs to persist longer than the 1.5 minute or so it does, and I barely see any effect when tanks run through it.
The Blitz is very enjoyable, I've found myself cackling every time I manage to get a good direct hit with the TV missile especially against enemy tanks that though they were safe after reversing back into cover only to then get struck from the heavens. And I love the design of the tank with how much stuff is attached to the tank to make it look especially distinct and fit its support role.
Nah, you can definitely activate it once the game starts on most maps :D In "plant a bomb" gamemode i instakilled Ray twice with it. Guy did not even leave spawn- Only thing is you need to actually look for tanks, since theres no radio spotting fom that far.
For the people that dont know the game is actually created by wargaming, who also created world of tanks , this game is basically the mix of war thunder and world of tanks , exept wargaming didn't create war thunder
Well they are also mixing in some hero shooter mechanics but it is most like wot, wt, and aw. But you would expect that since these are all tank games and reality is copy the best and make yours have a killer feature that nobody else has. I think that is in most successful businesses and I hope Project Cold War can be a success story based on what I’ve played.
last night i was playing ray on a bom defuse, eneded with zero score because a blitz and a hsv were 1 shoting be in the first 15s of the round. If WG don't remove those skills from this game competive is going to die very, very fast. such a low skill cap skill that others players have no way to defend against is not fun for the recieving end.
Arty in its current form is useless on this tank. You have to park on top of the enemy and maybe fire one off before you just die to whoever you tried to arty.

Your missile cooldown is the same as RAY's respawn on singlepoint capture mode. You can snipe her each time its guranteed kill on the turret

I just use it between reloads at close range. It isn’t very powerful but I wouldn’t call it useless especially if you are using the energy consumable
