HW Questions Solutions
Q3:-)
Total momentum of two player
=m1×u1 + m2×u2
=60(5)+55(−6)
=300−(330)
=−30 Kgms
Total momentum of two collision
=m1×v1+ m2×v2
=(m1+m2)v
Conservation of momentum
-30=(m1+m2)v
V=115/−30
V=−0.26m/s
Hence, player1 will be pushed by player2
Q4:-) [1 = rifle , 2= bullet]
m1 = 4 Kg
m2 = 50 g = 0.05 Kg
u1=u2= 0
v1= ?
v2= 35m/s
🟢Momenta of bullet & rifle (before Collison)
= m1u1 + m2u2
= 4x0+0.05x0
= 0
🟢Momenta of bullet & rifle (After Collison)
= m1v1+m2v2
= 4xv1 + 0.05x35
= 4v1 + 7/4
❤️According to Law of Conservation of Momentum
🔴Momenta of bullet & rifle (before Collison) = Momenta of bullet & rifle (After Collison)
=> 0=4v1+7/4
=> 4v1= -7/4
=> v1 = -0.4375 m/s
Hence Recoil Velocity of Rifle is 0.4375 m/s

37:20 Sir it should be 5/3 m/s instead of 10/2
👍👍
Hey, can you please tell me that how it will be 5/3 because mine is 10/6 . In the RHS we had added Vc(1+5) which is Vc6 and when we take 6 to the LHS then it should be divided by 10 hence 10/6.
So, could you please tell how you get 5/3...
The answer is 10/6 itself, but if you divide the numerator and denominator by 2, then you will get 5/3 which is the simplest form of 10/6.
Therefore, 10/6=5/3

Q3. Given:
m1 = 60kg
m2 = 55kg
u1 = 5 m/s
u2 = -6m/s
We know that,
m1u1 + m2u2 = m1vc + m2vc
or, 60×5 + 55×(-6) = vc (60 + 55)
or, 300 - 330 = 115vc
or, vc = -30/115
or, vc = -6/23 m/s
Hence, both the hockey players will move with a velocity of -6/23 m/s after collision in the direction, the second player is facing.

Sir THANKS for This Lecture 😊😊♥♥👌👌👍👍
sir, your learning experience very nice 👌👍👍
The best teacher of physics wallah foundation..👏
Let one player mass be 60kg and other be 55kg.
Then, M1 and M2 be 60kg and 70 kg respectively .
Let u1 be 5m/s while u2 be -6m/s (because we one direction as positive)
By formula
M1U1 + M2U2= M1V1 + M2V2
Putting the value,
60*5 + 55*(-6) = 60V1 + 55V2 ( We take VC as a common of V1 and V2 because both player are common on common final point on which they collide)
So,
300+(-330) = (60+55) Vc
-30 = (115) Vc
-30/115 = Vc
0.26 = Vc
Hence, In 0.26 m/s velocity they will move after they become entangled

Sir first , M1u1+M2u2 =M2v2+M2v2.
Now as we know that their Pi = 60*5+55*-6 =300-330=-30 then.
Pi =-30 , then we know that when they got entangled their final velocity be zero but when they tend to move then , their Pf = V(m1+m2) = V (115)
Here we take common tge velocity because dur to of third law of motion . Now -30=115v so v is equal to -0.26086956 m/s

Q3 ans
When two hockey players collide and become entangled, their motion can be analyzed using the principles of conservation of momentum. The total momentum before the collision is equal to the total momentum after the collision.
Let's denote the first player with a mass of 60 kg as "Player A" and the second player with a mass of 55 kg as "Player B." Player A has an initial velocity of 5 m/s, and Player B has an initial velocity of 6 m/s.
The total initial momentum is the sum of the individual momenta: Total initial momentum = (Mass of A * Velocity of A) + (Mass of B * Velocity of B) Total initial momentum = (60 kg * 5 m/s) + (55 kg * 6 m/s)
Now, you can calculate the total initial momentum.
Once they collide and become entangled, they move together with a combined mass of 60 kg + 55 kg = 115 kg. Let's denote their final velocity as "V."
The total final momentum is the product of the combined mass and final velocity: Total final momentum = (Combined mass * Final velocity) Total final momentum = 115 kg * V
Since momentum is conserved, the total initial momentum is equal to the total final momentum: (60 kg * 5 m/s) + (55 kg * 6 m/s) = 115 kg * V
Now, you can solve for the final velocity "V" to find in which direction and with what velocity they will move after the collision.
(300 kgm/s) + (330 kgm/s) = 115 kg * V 630 kg*m/s = 115 kg * V
V = 630 kg*m/s / 115 kg V ≈ 5.48 m/s
So, after the collision, they will move in the direction of their initial motion (the direction of Player B) with a final velocity of approximately 5.48 m/s.
sorry to say but your answer is little wrong you have to take v2 in -ve means -6 m/s the doing same process your answer will be -0.2 m/s.
hope you understand
37:07 Sir 6 bane ga 5 nahi aur Vc=1.6m/s aajaega
