The fight choreography, the score, the visuals - CyberConnect2 really did wonders in the original Ultimate Ninja and Storm series

You gotta love how the makers of the game do a better fight/story than the creator of the series. That was much more intense than Naruto going emo and jobbing.

I find it amusing that in the manga and the anime, it was a short fight and saksue handed all their asses to them. This is why I love the storm games.

@@bogymanthedark Storm 2 has by far the best presentation of all of the storm games like by a large margin. The reason storm kinda loses it's still later on is because of the yearly releases after 2.

Ok, the games REALLY hype up the battles more than any other media. While they don't go into detail as much as the manga and anime, they are actually pretty cooler and get you pumped more. I mean, the battle between Team 7 and Sasuke is cooler and makes you want to see if you can use chakra in UNS3 than it is in the anime.
I love the flashbacks that are embedded in the gameplay so it shows the similarities of the fight before and now 😊
One thing I really like in all of Storm 2's boss battles where you use Naruto is that he's almost consistently shown to be able to use Kurama's chakra at will, without losing control, the obvious exceptions being the Orochimaru and Pain ones. It actually makes it seem like he managed to get a grip on how to use and control some of Kurama's chakra during the time skip as opposed to just having zero control at all the second he taps into it, which also makes him losing control completely in those instances make more sense since he'd be more reliant on that power and would be more susceptible to losing himself to it.

to me THIS is how the first naruto vs sasuke in shippuden went. i refuse to belive that 3 years of training with jiraiya were a total waste...
When I saw this for the first time in the game I wondered why they never did this in the show, this part was really cool!
The moment where it goes back to the previous game is probably one of the coolest gameplay moments I've seen in a fighting game ever.

That shit was legit a regular rasengan vs a blade that has chidori channeled through it aka, it's an unstoppable blade, so yeah he could go vs his rasengan with just a chidori blade. "Tatsumaki Rasengan" isn't even canon lol. I know this is an old comment but I hate when people say random shit when they have no idea what they are talking about.

Also tatsumaki rasengan doesn't grow in size either...as I stated. It''s just to show you're winning the clash, like how in DBZ, beam's clash, the one pushing more is winning.
Now if only the anime fight was like this instead of Sasuke curbstomping everyone, the idea that Sasuke can tank a Kyuubi Enhanced Giant Rasengan which became a Massive Rasengan with the more chakra Naruto forced out of it would've really hit it home that Naruto and Sasuke were equals, but Naruto still had a way to go with how stubborn Sasuke is also would give an idea on what kind of training Sasuke did with Orochimaru if he can tank something like that.
Note: I say anime as I don't think Kishimoto would've had much time to draw something like this. I say it grew into a Massive Rasengan given the visuals after the Kusanagi blade went out of Sasuke's hand implying Naruto put more chakra than normal into that attack.
It's a good durability fest but in terms of combat it makes sasuke look pathetic. Can't even land a hit

Tyrese Newsome actually no. the main reason this fight existed in the anime/manga and game is to show that naruto, even with his training with Jiraiya, he still couldn't compare to sasuke's power in the end.

Tae Campus I don’t know how to explain it but I agree. The setting for Storm 2 just felt more important to me. Maybe storm 3 didn’t captivate me as much but it wasn’t bad by any means. I thought Storm 4 could have done better with the boss battles though.

Best fight in the game. It's so disappointing that in Storm 2, part 1 Naruto and Sasuke weren't available. It would be nice if someone made a Storm 4 mod with Storm 2 voices. R.I.P Storm 1 Awakening grabs, combos and Ultimate Jutsus.

I like how Sasuke talks smack when he's the one that's actually getting beat up.
The dynamics in the boss fights are truly amazing. The only thing that would make these fights better is a bit more time doing real fighting, AND doing those cinematic parts in real time, not with quick-time events.
