As a child the crust was my favourite part of the bread but then again being German I wouldn't call that stuff 'bread'.
Moreover... I don't trust a child that requires the crusts to be cut off.
Out of everything I've seen in this video, the only thing I would trust eating would be the cut off crusts.
We need more people like you to not only teach good cooking but also to love cooking. I never had patience to cook, after watching your channel I started loving to cook. Keep up the good job , Vincenzo 👍

She's basically saying that all you need is garlic, parmesan, pasta, meatballs and store bought sauce to call it Italian. It's a joke on people who can't cook properly or use proper ingredients, but call their food Italian. It's using stereotype and bias but in the food world!

Could you please help me with my cooking. I tried to make Bavette ala Cacio e pepe but the pecorino-sauce was not creamy. It was lumpy like melted cheese.

I have marble countertops and that sauce will murder the finish. Countertops like that are too expensive to be so stupid.
My mom taught me that if I ever made food for guests, I would cook food from scratch. Never should anything come from a can.

The only thing coming from a can should be the crushed tomatoes you have. And good quality ones at that, if you got enough fresh to make your sauce even better.

So, here at home my mother learned to cook with me... I still remember her murdering (or chopping, as she called it) the onions.
And my family is part Italian, but there are some portuguese to spoil the party.
Turns out I picked up Italian-French cooking techniques very early on. I actually learned to cook when I was about 12 years old when I was a scout, the techniques came with time later.
I think next time she should make food on the floor, its easier to clean after xD

Someone making pizza from scratch, the interesting thing is that the dough recipe is very similar to the one I used to make at a pizzeria near my house (I have been working in the kitchen for years and have "ventured" into making pizza) the only glaring difference is that I used fresh yeast and salt and sugar were measured in grams not spoons and I didn't use machines, I did everything by hand.

Vincenzo said something about polenta being traditionally served that way in Abruzzo. I don't understand why. Plates are more convenient than serving food off a table top. If plates aren't available slices of bread can be used. That used to be done in Europe. I think the bread slices were called "trenchers". In SE Asia banana leaves are still used as plates. Poverty must have driven people to use table tops in Abruzzo and polenta was the only food served that way, not a whole lot of meal components like here. This lady must have misunderstood.
As for the meatballs, Vincenzo points out that meatballs are cooked in their sauce. Weird to see the sauce and meatballs served separately.
Oh dear, I think to serve your guests like this would make people desperate to find excuses to refuse invitations to your parties! No friends left!

I think cooking dry beans is much better, for most types of beans. And I use cookonut from cans.
