- Madmaheshwar (also called as MadhyaMaheshwar and Madhmaheshwar) is a quaint little holy town named after the sacred Madhyamaheshwar Temple of Lord Shiva. It is part of famous Panch Kedar.The temple is located at an altitude of 3497 mts.
Madmaheshwar can be reached by trekking 16 kms from Ransi Village. The trek is very easy to complete up to Bantoli, but from Bantoli to Madhmaheshwar there is a steep ascent.
Route - Delhi - Meerut - Haridwar - Rishikesh - Devprayag - Srinagar - Rudraprayag - Ukhimath - Ransi Village to Madmaheshwar (Trekking 16 Km)
Stay Option - Stay options are available throughout the trek in every village with basic facility and in limited numbers.

Hi Sriram…Yes it’s possible to trek and reach temple in a day . I am an average trekker and it took me around 8 hours to reach Madhayamaheshwar temple. Hope this will help.
Try to start your trek little early around 05.30 am, so that we have some buffer time in case of any delay during the trek. Good thing about this trek is that there is homestay available after every 2-3 km.

Hi, I have some doubts. (1) after reaching back to agtolidhar(in return journey). Is there pickup/any sharing taxi vehicle available !? Till ukhimath Atleast .!? (2) should try reaching ransi or till ulhimath (as base location) (3)for stay at Madhmaheshwar Do we need to do any prior booking (home stay) (for room of 6-7 people what is avg cost per day .!?
Hi Sahil…u will get shares taxi from Ransi village not from Agtoli. You need to come by your own from Agtoli to Ransi village by your own or u can take lift. It’s only 2 Km from Agtoli to Ransi village. No prior booking required, once you reach at temple , there are people allocate you the stay on the basis of their availability.
I am planning to do this trek in first week of October ? Is it a good time ?
Yes , it’s good time. Pls make sure temple is open to avoid any issue. Last year Madmaheshwar templ was closed on 22 November 2021.

@@bhatta.gourisankar Trek is well marked and can be dono solo. Good part of this trek is that after every 2-3 km you will get stay option. So wherever you feel tired , you can stay.

Hi….After every 2 - 3 km you will find homestay. Homestay is not an issue on this trek.
