Madhyamaheshwar, is a sacred Hindu pilgrimage site located in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It is one of the Panch Kedar temples, a group of five temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, and is revered as the "middle" or "second" Kedar among them.
The Panch Kedar temples are an essential part of the religious circuit for Hindu devotees who undertake the arduous journey to seek blessings and perform rituals associated with Lord Shiva. The other four temples in the Panch Kedar group are Kedarnath, Tungnath, Rudranath, and Kalpeshwar.
The Madhmaheshwar temple is situated at an altitude of approximately 3,497 meters (11,473 feet) above sea level, amidst the picturesque Garhwal Himalayas. The temple is believed to have been built by the Pandavas, the legendary figures from the Hindu epic Mahabharata. It is said that after the Kurukshetra War, the Pandavas wanted to seek forgiveness from Lord Shiva for the sins they committed during the war, and hence, they went in search of him.
The unique feature of Madhyamaheshwar is that the temple houses a navel-shaped lingam (a symbol of Lord Shiva), which is worshiped by devotees. The lingam is believed to represent the navel of Lord Shiva, and it is different from the more common phallic form of lingam found in most other Shiva temples.
The journey to Madhyamaheshwar involves a challenging trek of about 18 kilometers from the nearest village Ransi . However, the natural beauty of the region and the spiritual significance of the temple attracts numerous pilgrims and trekkers every year.
I started my trek Ransi to Madhmaheshwar on 7th June 2023, visited Shri Madhyamaheaswar temple and Budha Madhyamaheshar which is 2Km from Madhyamaheshwar temple.
मद्महेश्वर मंदिर की चढ़ाई करते समय खाने-पीने और रहने की सुविधा |
1 . गौण्डार - यह मद्महेश्वर मंदिर का सबसे पहला रेस्ट पॉइंट है, जिसकी दूरी रांसी गांव, जहां से मद्महेश्वर मंदिर की चढ़ाई शुरू होती है, से करीब 8 किमी. है। यह मधु गंगा नदी के तट पर बसा हुआ एक छोटा-सा गांव है, जहां की प्राकृतिक सुंदरता देखने योग्य है। यहां पर आपको खाने-पीने और रात को ठहरने की सभी सुविधा मिल जाएगी।
2 . बनतोली - गंगा नदी के तट बसा प्राकृतिक वादियों से सुशोभित यह एक छोट-सा गांव है, जो रांसी गांव से करीब 10.5 किमी. और गौण्डार गांव से 1.5 किमी. की दूरी पर स्थित है। यहां पर खाने-पीने और रहने की अच्छी सुविधा उपलब्ध कराई जाती है।
3 . खड्डरा - यह जगह प्राकृतिक वादियों के बीच में स्थित है, जो रांसी गांव से करीब 11.5 किमी. और बनतोली गांव से 1.5 किमी. की दूरी पर स्थित है और साथ ही यहां पर वन विभाग की एक चौकी भी है। यहां पर खाने-पीने और रात को ठहरने की बहुत अच्छी सुविधा उपलब्ध कराई जाती है।
4 . नानू - यहां पर खाने-पीने और रात को ठहरने की बहुत अच्छी सुविधा उपलब्ध कराई जाती है, जो रांसी गांव से करीब 13.5 किमी. और खड्डरा से करीब 2 किमी. की दूरी पर स्थित है।
5 . मैखम्बा - यह रांसी गांव से करीब 15 किमी. और नानू गांव से करीब 1.5 किमी. की दूरी पर स्थित है। यहां पर आपको खाने-पीनेेे और रात को ठहरने की सभी सुविधा मिलेगी या नहीं, इसकी कोई गारंटी नहीं है। क्योंकि मैं जब मद्महेश्वर मंदिर गया था, तो उस समय मुझे यहां पर सिर्फ खाने-पीने की सुविधा ही मिल पाई थी, लेकिन हो सकता है कि आप जब मद्महेश्वर मंदिर जाएंगे, तो वहां पर रात को ठहरने की सुविधा भी उपलब्ध करा दी गई हो। फिर भी आपको मद्महेश्वर मंदिर की ट्रेक करते समय इस जगह पर रात में ठहरने की सुविधा न मानकर ही ट्रेक करनी चाहिए।
6 . कूनचट्टी - यह रांसी गांव से करीब 16.5 किमी. और मैखम्बा से करीब 1.5 किमी. की दूरी पर स्थित है। यहां पर खाने-पीने और रात को ठहरने की सभी सुविधा उपलब्ध होती है।

Went to Madhmaheshwar on Sept 2023. What an amazing time it was. Best of weather. Best of scenes. Aur when you reach the point. Just pure peace.
The bridge before Bantoli was broken and so there was temporary bridge made with bamboos and woods to cross the river. And the fast flowing river would fill your hearts with joy and fear and the same time.
Breath taking views everywhere..
Budha Maheshwar view next morning takes your breath away.
One thing, the trek is surely much steeper and tougher than it looks on camera. But full of fun and serenity.
And surely a bit longer distance than what it says on the milestones 😅
One must go to receive the blessings of Baba Madhmaheshwar. It's a life experience for sure.

भाई क्या आप ( भाई को सुझाव व भाई से प्रार्थना 🙏🙏 )"अर्ध बद्री " पर वीडियो बना सकते हो , इसके लिए रास्ता जोशीमठ - तपोवन मार्ग ( भविष्य बद्री ) के बीच मैं से सुदूर गांव के लिए जाता है , सुदूर गांव के पास अर्ध बद्री का मन्दिर है , कार कहां तक जाती है और कार से अर्ध बद्री मन्दिर तक कितने K. M. पैदल चलना पडता हे , मार्ग मैं कौन कौन से गांव पड़ते हैं वहां पर रात को रुकने व खाने की क्या व्यवसता है क्या वहाँ के लिए घोडै जाते है , प्लीज़ सारी जानकारी देना I " ध्यान बद्री " पर भी वीडियो बनाना यह कल्पेश्वर से 3.0 K. M. पहले " उर्गम बरगिडॉ " में है , उर्गम बरगिडॉ से ( कार से ) ध्यान बद्री मन्दिर के लिए 0.300 मीटर पैदल चलना पड़ता है , ध्यान बद्री ब कल्पेश्वर के लिए रास्ता " हेलंग " से कटता है और हेलंग , देव प्रयाग - बद्रीनाथ के रास्ते मैं है , तथा हो सके तो " बर्ध बद्री " पर भी वीडियो बनाना, रास्ता जोशीमठ से 9.0 K. M. पहले है , ब हेलंग से 3.0 K. M. आगे है तथा बर्ध बद्री का मन्दिर अनीमठ गाँव मैं स्थीत है ब सड़क से ( कार से ) 0.300 मीटर पैदल चलना पड़ता है , रास्ता देव प्रयाग - बद्रीनाथ मार्ग के रास्ते मैं है , मुझको वीडियो बनानी नही आती है परन्तु में ध्यान बद्री व वर्ध बद्री जा चुका हूं , परन्तु " अर्ध बद्री " नही जा सका , प्लीज़ आप प्रयास करे , इन तीनो पर बहुत कम वीडियो बनी हैं , ये तीनो भी बद्री मन्दिरो मैं आते हैं , धन्यवाद 🙏🙏
