Hi Cynthia, thank you for the video! I am applying for the spouse visa first time! Do you recommend prepare the evidence of relationship as a timeline in a pdf doc and uploading it ? It seems that all the evidence is to be uploaded after you pay the fee and you can really see the section before is it up to you what evidence you choose to provide on top of the required docs that the application mentions? For example, if I’m going to live with my husband at his parents place I would provide the letter from his parents either copy of id saying that that are happy for me to live with them and there are enough rooms etc? In addition does it take long to get the biometrics ? If we pay for priority service ? Thank you!
Remember that I am not an immigration advisor and consultant therefore this is not legal advice. The system will not allow you to upload PDF documents past a certain size. That is why I think you need to not upload too large documents. Send in different pieces of documents. In my opinion, I suggest that you upload a letter from your in-laws stating that they are happy to have you both in their house. You can get a deed to their house if it is their own, it doesn’t cost much money online. Please ask for permission before you do so so that it doesn’t cost problems with your in-laws. A deed often shows who owns it and sometimes how many rooms are in it. Another evidence you could provide is screenshots of messages, chats and email between you and your husband spread over a number of months or years. Marriage certificate and joint bank account( it isn’t necessary) are good to add. If you don’t have joint account, then include both accounts that you each own but highlight money received and sent between both of you. You can provide other evidence as listed in this video. ua-cam.com/video/4PJGBGjvSDg/v-deo.htmlsi=V0KE50BXdJogJ3px After paying, you are to book for biometrics on the next available slot and I don’t know how long it would take after your biometrics capture to receive a decision and your BRP for priority service. Hi Cynthia, my husband is currently living in Dubai.. I am applying for spouse visa on behalf of him.. Can you just tell me about the english test he has to take? Is it the IELTS A1 life skills ?
Hi Cynthia, can I still use my IELTS (b2) cert it will expire next month and we plan to get married nxt yr and apply spouse visa, currently I am under Skilled worker visa
@@Angiesdiary1990 Did you use the IELTS when you applied for Skilled Worker visa? Someone said that if you have submitted an IELTS result during a previous visa application to UKVI, you don’t need to retake it if you are applying for another visa. They said this for those on skilled worker visa who want to apply for ILR, therefore I am guessing the same applies to other visas. I don’t know, call the Home Office to confirm. Just know that if you switch from a Skilled Worker visa to a Family visa (Spouse visa), the time spent under the skilled worker visa will next be added to your 5 years assessment for ILR. Hi Cynthia , I came across your helpful video I am about to switch my skilled worker visa to spouse visa. Is it a must to provide a cover letter for the spouse visa and there are any chances of getting the visa without the help from solicitors?
Hi Happy, Remember that if your switch from skilled worker visa to spouse visa you will lose the years you spent on skilled worker visa to count towards your ILR settlement. It is not a MUST but desirable and it helps clarify your situation for the person working on your case so that there are no assumptions. It is best to provide cover letters for every visa you apply for. I got my visa twice without the help of solicitors. Solicitors should be used for complicated cases. If you case is complex, it is best to hire one. I shared three videos that have helped thousands of people, if you watch all three and apply the tips there, you will be fine. I wish you the best!

You can provide other evidence as listed in this video.
ua-cam.com/video/4PJGBGjvSDg/v-deo.htmlsi=V0KE50BXdJogJ3px
After paying, you are to book for biometrics on the next available slot and I don’t know how long it would take after your biometrics capture to receive a decision and your BRP for priority service. Check the government website for information on that.
All the best!

Thank you for the suggestion. I will keep that in mind.
Hi Cynthia, can I still use my IELTS (b2) cert it will expire next month and we plan to get married nxt yr and apply spouse visa, currently I am under Skilled worker visa
@@Angiesdiary1990
Did you use the IELTS when you applied for Skilled Worker visa? Someone said that if you have submitted an IELTS result during a previous visa application to UKVI, you don’t need to retake it if you are applying for another visa. They said this for those on skilled worker visa who want to apply for ILR, therefore I am guessing the same applies to other visas. I don’t know, call the Home Office to confirm.
Just know that if you switch from a Skilled Worker visa to a Family visa (Spouse visa), the time spent under the skilled worker visa will next be added to your 5 years assessment for ILR. It is worth it if you have not been on skilled worker visa for long.
I am not an immigration advisor. Do your due diligence with any information I have written here.

Hello, where do you upload or give all your documents such as bank statements and wage slips? Is it after you paid online or in person?
When you complete the online application, you need to pay for IHS and visa fees and book a biometric appointments. When you book it, you can upload your documents before the appointment day and/or bring them for the biometric appointment. At the biometrics appointment that is when you are captured and you provide all your documents for scanning.
I hope this is helpful.
Have a stress-free application.

Try using the UK immigration ID check app instead.

Hello I want to ask if you are a student you can’t bring your partner yes or not
If you are pursuing a BSc or Master of Science, you cannot bring dependents unless you are sponsored by a government eg via scholarship.
If you are pursuing a Masters of Research or PhD, you can bring dependents.
This form in this video is for those married or partners of British citizens or ILR holders.

Hi Cynthia, thank you for this video. In regards to the payment fee, how much is this all together ? Also do they allow payment with credit card or does the payment fee also have to be in the applicators bank account for 6months leading to the application
Since the initial Spouse Visa lasts 30 months, applicants will need to pay around £2,587.50 for IHS fee. Note that IHS fees is £1035 per year.
The UK spouse visa application fee in 2024 is £1,048 if your application is made inside the UK and £1,846 if your application is made outside the UK.

Hi,
It is true that it is not my first application but the questions asked are similar. 95% percent of the questions asked in this form is the exact same questions asked during my first application.
Don’t be afraid, just fill it by following the guidelines in this video. The beautiful thing about it is that you can save and return to it at another time to complete the application.

How do you apply for dependent visa?
You can Google dependent visa UK application and visit the government website to follow their guidelines on how to apply for a dependent via.

Has any one here applied for spouse visa extension and had to pay immigration health surcharge even if you work in healthcare??? Please I need answers..
You have to pay IHS fees for spouse visa even if you work in health care. If you were to apply for a health and care visa then you will not pay IHS fees.
The visa you are applying for is what matters whether you will pay for IHS fees or not.
I hope this helps.
Hi Cynthia , I came across your helpful video I am about to switch my skilled worker visa to spouse visa. Is it a must to provide a cover letter for the spouse visa and there are any chances of getting the visa without the help from solicitors?
Hi Happy,
Remember that if your switch from skilled worker visa to spouse visa you will lose the years you spent on skilled worker visa to count towards your ILR settlement.

@@solomonakosah4216 In my opinion, I think it is best to for your spouse to fill the application using her email to log in or you apply for her but at the beginning when the application ask whether you are the applicant or someone applying for the applicant, you tick the later.

Hi, the question “Is your current entry clearance or leave to remain as the partner of one of the following?” My husband is currently on a student visa. I am british, this is the first time he’s applying for a visa as a partner of a british citizen. So would he select yes or no?
Let me first state that I am not an immigration advisor or consultant. I am only sharing my opinion and understanding of the matter.
All the questions asked in the application are directed at your husband.
They are asking your husband "Is his current entry clearance or leave to remain as the partner of one of the following?" @4.09
Since he is on a Student visa and applying for a spouse visa for the first time, the answer is No.

No, this is for those whose partner are British citizens, have indefinite leave to remain or related status. You should apply for a dependent to skilled worker visa for your spouse.
I hope this helps.
not the best video at all, with all the blurring, and no explanation, everything said was common sense info e.g. choose yes or no and say why
Thank you for your feedback.
You could create a better video, don’t blurr out any information, give explanations and post it on your UA-cam channel.
The purpose of this video is to help others know what questions to expect and documents are needed so that they can do theirs with little stress.
It is not to answer the questions for them or give explanations for each answer as it is personal to me.
If you could do better, simply do so. Everyone with a UA-cam app or a Google account on UA-cam has a create button. Create a better application process video that isn’t common sense.

Hi Beautiful people,
These three videos are for you if you are married to a British citizen or someone who has indefinite leave to remain or you intend to settle through the spouse visa route.
Even if you are not in this category, you can watch this to better understand how the British system works with regards to immigration for married or civil partners.
I needed to make this video so that it can help someone out there.
If people videoed their application process, it will help others know that perhaps they can do these applications themselves without paying immigration lawyers thousands of pounds.

@@suzhang5497
Oh dear!
Apologies I can’t answer that question.
It states on the government website to present evidence of living together for at least 2 years.
If I were you, I would call the government to gain more clarity on the matter. Visit the UK government website.
It would be best to live together and get your bills with address from the same address to put as evidence in your visa. I guess that there are newly weds whose visa must been approved despite not living together.
No matter the decision you make, always have a cover letter that explains discrepancies in your application. Include your phone number and email in case the person in the Home Office who is looking at your case application needs to contact you for more clarity.
I wish you the best.
